Alone and looking rather sad. The tigress curled her tail over her paws and sighed deeply. What was she going to do now? She didn't know. She had hoped he was here, but he wasn't. He probably wasn't a feline like her. Or an animal. He was still out there in the city. Saving the world and wondering where she was. She knew it. She just knew it.

Dia had been sick. Not physically sick, but mentally. With all of the things piling up in her mind and all the burdens she had (and wanted), combined with the death of her children, she'd once again been locked away. Only this time, she knew perfectly well that she was in reality. She couldn't comfort herself with the thought that nothing was real because it all was.

But now she was back, wondering what she had missed. Hmm. Right before disappearing into her own mind, Dia had briefly seen this person, but they hadn't met. Well, time to fix that. "Hello, I'm Dia. I don't think we've formally met." The raccoon said, taking a seat. She tilted her head to the side. "Are you ok?"

Thankfully, the young optimist could say that he was rather well in most every term. He was growing, so moving around was easier, and as he was getting older, so he was able to do more. It was pretty great, so the grin that was painted upon his face was rarely washed off; it was a rare occasion that he wasn't grinning anyway, but the suffering of others was something that he didn't exactly feel comfortable beaming toward. He had skipped on over, his goggles having been hastily cleaned and thus hung proudly around his neck, and by approaching he had hoped to be allowed into a merry conversation, or something interesting.

The dampened atmosphere, the sadness between the two, had been enough for even the socially ignorant kitten to catch on to. Growing still when he had approached, he glanced over Lois and Dia through large Hazel optics. Blinking, he lowered his head a bit. "Uhm, yeah. Are you okay?" the tabby echoed, pointed ears flicking.

Looking to the two, she smiled slightly. "Sorry. I'm fine. And I'm Lois Lane. Pleased to meet you Dia." She greeted as she noticed the sadness on her as well. She must have been sad herself a moment. "I was just missing someone from my past, but he isn't here anymore. So, I guess I was sad about it. But, I'm okay now." She admits with a soft laugh.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 400px;]Well, this was certainly awkward. Emelia had been walking by when she caught a bit of the conversation, and she stopped. However, the hippogriff was unsure what to say. Being a more methodical and independent creature, social interactions had never been a strength but she'd been standing there for too long to keep silent. "Oh, I'm sorry." She said in a voice that wasn't very convincingly sympathetic. It wasn't that she didn't empathize with others, it was simply harder to show it. "Sometimes it's hard to let go of the past, huh?" The former badlander said.

She replied with a nod. She hated clinging to the past, but she had no choice. It was part of who she was.
