Not only was it entertaining, but it was also vital for his species' survival. Nonetheless, the Valravn had gotten bored with the simplicity of just eating his unusual meal long ago. Now, he preferred to 'play' with his food beforehand to bring a bit more fun into his life.
    "Oh hush now, you're going to be delicious." The male's voice was almost a purr as he whispered to the shrieking child in his claws. His taloned hands explored the tiny body, ignoring the desperate pleas of his victim. The young one couldn't have been more than five moons old, and appeared to be some sort of canine. "Stopstopstopstop..." She whined between sobs, thrashing in the nightmarish monster's grasp as he violated her. He then proceeded to r*pe her.
    Even when his sick desires were satisfied, the child would still suffer. Kodi was hungry, after all. He pulled her apart piece by piece, devouring each limb right in front of her glazed eyes. When there were no more limbs, he pulled her still-beating heart out of her chest with one fluid movement of the beak. The hearts were the best part. Soon, all that was left of the child was a puddle of blood and a satisfied Valravn. He had no idea that he was being watched.

His claws sunk into the dirt, his fur rose.... Let me hurt him. No. It was... unforgiving. "It" was sadistic, psychotic.... Dimitri couldn't do that to a man. He was a pacifist. You're scared to let me out. He nodded- that much was true. Dimitri was terrified by that side of him- But you're angry. Another truth. You want him to suffer for what he's done... I do. Come on.


    He was still going.
    Dimitri's ears folded at her screams. No... No, no, no, no.... He shut his eyes, trying to ignore to screaming, rooted to the spot. Dimitri. You can't fight it. Let me do it. No, no, he couldn't. He... he was eating her!!
    "Oh my god...." He whispered, fur rose, anger rushed into his system, an emotion unfamiliar to the tom- Your anger is good. But you cannot-


    He gasped.


    Control it.


    The light left Dimitri's eyes, pupils nothing but a black void with a green rim.
    It stepped out of the forest, watching the creature with unblinking eyes and a straight face. "You... should be gutted. Pay for your crimes."

    Kodi whipped around at the sound of a voice. His unnamused yellow gaze was met with the stranger’s ruthless one. He almost felt scared. Almost. ”Ambitious of you to say that. Don't take offense, but that sounds like an empty threat if I ever heard one.” He began to pick his teeth with his filthy talons, flicking bits of flesh onto the feline. The dark beast’s overall calmness was evident in his regulated breathing. ”Besides, crime is a rather... strong assumption. I prefer to call it fun. It is great fun, you should try it. The Valravn’s smooth voice hissed from his beak, laced with a mocking tone. This puny thing could not possibly have the courage to challenge such a magnificent creature such as himself. He was sure of it. ”It was a lovely meal, cheers, you should join me next time.”

It did not flinch when a bit of flesh stuck to its fur. At the last statement, Deyanira laughed, that sort of laugh when you were with drinking buddies.
    "You know, maybe I should." It laughed again. "You'd make a great feast." As the final word would slip out of its mouth, the facade would drop back to the straight face of passive-aggressive murder, and it would try to push the feeling of terror on the other.

He had always been the one causing the fear. He found himself wanting to run, but his pride would never allow it. The grotesque avian's spiteful yellow eyes grew hazy with uncertainty. The words of the feline provided no comfort. She saw what he had done. "Let's be rational about this... He muttered, his confidence ebbing as he realized that he couldn't talk his way out of this. Frozen to the spot, Kodi considered his course of action; Fight. Not an option. Run. Not an option. Talk. Not an option. Everything he knew how to do was meaningless to this stranger. Through all of the emotions he felt in this moment, not one of them was guilt. He didn't regret a thing.

It was difficult as such a big creature to move around in such a small space, and he found that his feathers kept on getting tangled in the thorns and underbrush.     It conjured a leather belt, wrapping it around and tightening it around the creature's wings, then repeating the process with two more belts. It then wrapped a belt around Kodi's ankles, in a figure eight, then pulling it through the loop.
    "Too easy."
    It laughed, continuing to do so as its bones cracked and reformed, lighter and larger, roughly the same size or bigger than Kodi. A thunderbird.
    For transportation. It wasn't too low to torture a man in a different form.


    The bird picked him up in its talons, then took to the sky, flying home.
