[justify]lorna does lots of things. so many things that listing them all would be absolutely impossible. but that doesn't mean lorna doesn't mentally cycle through them on a daily basis. number one, she likes magic. that's a given. two, she thinks looking for shapes in the clouds is fun. three is that drawing is pretty cool. four? that one time she watched the ceiling fan in her dad's human's apartment for two hours straight. today, we're focusing on the third one.
drawing. in the dirt. with a stick. drawing what, exactly? a self portrait. she begins with a big round circle. this is an accurate portrayal of her body shape. then, another circle for her head. also accurate. two triangles for ears, one being more round than the other, and a long tail peeking out from behind the biggest circle. these are not exactly accurate but it's the thought that counts. next up are four ellipses that serve as paws. add those to the 'not quite' category. she also adds a standard smiley face composed of two dots and an arc that looks nothing like her face.
perhaps this is more abstract art than a portrait.
either way, she's proud. just as she begins to sign her name in an incomprehensible mess of scribbles, however, she has a realization. her cape and hat! she forgot her cape and hat in the drawing! immediately, lorna gasps loudly and gets back to work. true perfection mustn't be rushed, you see.
