  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; text-align: justify][size=8]He had let Yuu get hurt. It was because of him that the other boy was injured and the thought made him feel sick. But more so than that, he felt disgusted with himself. Because even though he stood there with the only family he had left in his arms, crouched just shy of the Riverclan border, he did not want to give him up. After so long without Yuu he felt indescribably empty and cold. It was only when he was with the other boy that he could finally remember himself and he wasn't willing to just let him run away. The blonde could only stand there completely still over the unconscious body of the Riverguard apprentice and exhale in soft bursts as he crouched over him, desperately trying to memorize this new Yuuichirou Hyakuya who had run off to the Exiles for whatever reason. He at least wanted an explanation.

But the thirst hit him hard in the gut as soon as the smell of the Hyakuya's blood hit his tongue and he recoiled instantly, paws leaving the raven's side as he stumbled backwards and gritted his teeth with a sharp inhale. In his desperation he had all but forgotten the threat he posed on the boy now. His tongue raked over his extended teeth with a mixture of disgust and loathing. That was right. He hadn't fed in weeks. He wondered how it would feel to get a taste of Yuu's sweet tasting blood- the thought lasted little longer than a heartbeat but it was long enough for him to step back with reeling hatred and fall backwards, burying his face in his paws and growling under his breath. "Chikusho!"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]"Ahaha, the great Yuuichirou Hyakuya was taken out by a couple mortal's hitting him on the head, that's rather sad don't you think?" Asuramaru's chiding voice sung as it always did in feminine pitches, clearly mocking him. When he opened his eyes the dragon spirit was wrapped around the hilt of his blade as usual which was embedded in the ground, a foggy substance hiding everything else from view. He was familiar with this place. The tom groaned and laid his head on the ground before his eyes snapped wide open and he suddenly remembered what had just happened to him. "Oi! Where's Kaneki? Don't tell me that idiot did something reckless. . ." he stammered off, frowning darkly. Kaneki had seemed convinced he could take Yuu's place and the last thing he could remember was Kaneki offering himself instead. Asuramaru gave a chiming laugh as he stepped off the sword and crept towards him on all fours.

"You spend so much time worrying about others, I wonder if you have any real regard for yourself? It's the only thing that keeps me from possessing your body and making you a demon, your will to save your friends. As far as I can tell you don't have a single regard for yourself." Asuramaru split a large grin and paused in front of Yuu, who was standing suddenly with his legs braced as if preparing to run. The demon's words made him falter before bristling. "What's that supposed to mean?!" Asuramarh laughed again and flicked his serpentine tail along Yuu's side. "I forgot you were an idiot. It means that one of these days you're going to get yourself killed- or worse, you'll get so weak and I'll possess your body." "I'd never let you!" "You would if I had a better chance of saving your precious family, Yuuichirou~" Asuramaru's voice was chastising as he sauntered away and lifted his muzzle, the fangs coming from his jaws glinting slightly. "But there's another family me,her of yours you might want to focus on right now," Asuramaru added contemplatively. "He seems to be struggling with something. . . hm, I wonder." Asuramaru drifted off and Yuu frowned in confusion. He opened his jaws to speak but before he could he blinked his eyes open and he was no longer in his own mind, he was in the real world.

Yuu groaned under his breath at the throbbing pain, lifting a paw to place it over his eyes when he spotted something in the corner of his vision. He started before jumping to his paws, stumbling a bit at the sudden motion that reopened the scab that was beginning to form on his throat. He picked up Asuramaru who was still strapped to his side as he scowled and narrowed his eyes at the blurry cream figure standing a few feet away before his eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and disbelief. The blade dropped with a soft thud as he took a few hesitant steps towards Mikaela's crouched form and paused, ears flicking back at the state he was in, not sure if this was a dream or not. "M-Mika?" His voice was soft and uncertain at first before he finally gave in and stepped forward a few more steps, eyes wide. "Mika - is that you?"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; text-align: justify][size=8]Mikaela stiffened as he heard Yuu wake up behind him and call out to him. He could smell it, he could hear it, the rush of blood and the sound it made as it trickled down his skin from his neck. He must have reopened the wound. The sweet yet bitter smell tainted the air and made his head spin. The heat was unbearable, like a scorching desert had inhabited his throat. He wanted nothing more than to just take a drink of cold, icy water and relieve the burn. To just get a taste of blood to satiate the fire rising inside his throat. He pawed at his jugular desperately trying to relieve the pain but it was no use as Yuu crept closer and closer. He was so close now that all Mika had to do was reach out just a little bit and he could push him to the ground easily and sink his aching teeth into the soft flesh of his friend's neck.

"G-Get back Yuu-chan," he gasped as he clutched at his throat more desperately, stumbling a meter or so away from the dark-pelted Riverguard apprentice and narrowing his blue eyes as he snapped his gaze over his shoulder. That was his mistake- his pupils instantly narrowed as they pinned on the slow trickle of blood and before he realized what he was doing he lunged forward and shoved the raven-fur to the ground, bracing his paws against the other boy's shoulders and baring his teeth with a desperate hiss as he painted heavily, fighting a losing battle against his own thirst and his morals. At this point he couldn't even tell where he was or who he was standing over, it was just prey, just another article of livestock. "Blood! Give me your blood!" His desperate gasps fell through gritted teeth as he pressed down on Yuu's shoulders and snarled through labored breaths. [b]"Please!"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]His eyes narrowed at Mika's odd behavior and the way he was crouched in such a position, wondering what the hell was wrong with him. Was he hurt and trying to hide it? Was something mentally wrong with him? He wanted to grab the blond by his shoulders and shake him hard until Mikaela told him what was wrong and he was about to do so when he was suddenly shoved to the ground. He offered no resistance until Mika nearly bit him, and that was when he struggled beneath his grasp, tucking his chin to protect his neck and worming beneath the vampire but not trying to throw him off. "Wh-What the hell are you doing Mika?!" He stiffened at Mika's desperate cries and froze as he started to beg.

This was his fault. He had let Mika get like this, so desperately thirsty. He had abandoned Mika and it was his fault for not saving him. As he realized this he stopped squirming beneath Mika and his eyes slid closed. This was the least he could do right? The thought of willing let a vampire suck his blood was revolting to him, it made him wish he was anywhere else, even dying - but, if it was Mika. . . he could trust the blond. He knew that. Even like this he could still see the tortured side of Mika who didn't want to drink his blood. He lifted his chin and moved to press his forehead against Mika's, the Scarclanner's whiskers tickling his throat. He smiled a little as he murmured, "It's okay, Mika. Take all you need."
