| Aldo had to find the others! His friends! Well, not really friends. A jellyfish colony could be the same level as school friends. You know, those people you're only friends with because you saw them five times a week. Aldo was lost. This other world separated him from Liquid life. The blue stuff. He took in a breath- Aldo had yet to understand breathing. He forgot to do it a lot. Aldo did not understand this world at all. He looked down in the water, searching. "Where...." His colony. His home. He couldn't go back. He had to find them. Were they okay? Well... His species did not have the ability to be injured, in a sense. If he got old, he would just revert to the younger form. If he got hurt, he could just go back. Illness? Well... he had yet to see. He dunked his head in the lake. "Colo-" He threw back his head, coughing and spitting water, cat-sized jaws spitting out moss. "Gross!" Wait... He leaned down, looking at the green substance. "What is this...?" He poked it, then jumped back. Okay. It didn't hurt him. He tried to smoosh it, but it didn't react. "Huh." He sighed, and breathed, looking at the water. How could he know the colony was in there? Why did he care? Why did he feel? Dead Floaters like Aldo did not [i]feel. |
| He did not see. He did not taste. He did not touch. He just... floated. No brain, no heart, and a glowing jellyfish the size of a quarter. How strange, his life and the land world was. The tasmanian tiger laid down, sighing. This was hopeless. Pointless. Was there more to life than exist- "Look at that!" What the-? Little creatures in red hats? "Let's poke it!" Huh? He tilted his head, staring as the three tiny men approached. "Poke? What is that? Hey-!" The little men poked and prodded his form, like a new can of play dough, trying to see what they could do. "Hey-!" Aldo released a sound, something like a scream and short bark. No, he wasn't in pain. This is what he sounded like. His jaws were wide, hissing and letting out the scream-sound. The little men grabbed him- one of them grabbed his mouth and jumped inside, small enough for the tip on the hat to stab the top of his mouth. The tiger was defenseless- screaming and barking, yelling confused questions, understanding pain- More of them came. Aldo yelled, surrounded, poked like some science project- "HELP!! HELP!" |
