Family: Skylar is an orphan, and has no known siblings or other relatives.
History: When Skylar was born, her mother actually left her on Mt. Ebott. However, she was discovered by someone in a town nearby, and brought to the orphanage there. Sky grew up as an odd one out of the other children- the girl who could stay happy and optimistic no matter how grim the circumstances. She always believed in the other kids... That one day, they would get adopted, and so would she. However, that never happened. Skylar was never adopted, and neither were many of the other kids. Once she was sixteen, she was left to live on her own, but still under supervision of the orphanage staff. She never left the town she was "born" in, but brought some Pokémon partners into her life that she grew to care deeply for.

Why they climbed Mt. Ebott: Sky went up Mt. Ebott because she heard some of the legends of the monsters that lived underground, and was curious. She was confused as to why they were sealed away: and how humans could be so cruel many years ago.
