  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]Kaden was still trying to get to know this place; it was huge. Five different biomes covered the expanse of this place. He wasn't sure how his twin was going, but he wasn't going so well. At the current time, Kaden was wading through the deep crimson bushes, close to the winding rivers. This place was so beautiful, no doubt, but he still had no idea how to get around. His gaze swept across it, an a small smile grew on his maw.

    "This place sure is colourful," he murmured to himself, picking at a red leaf.

  • Owlflight was on one of the several walks she takes. She had nothing better to do, considering she doesn't want to go stir crazy. Stir crazy was very bad, and kind of depressing. She would know this well.

    The feline was wearing her gold and red scarf, which covered her muzzle. Her gold eyes were narrowed and unfocused, like usual. She heard one of the newbies talking about the colours. Yeah, there were a lot of colours, that was established. But, he's new, so he may as well comment while he's new. Soon, she saw him. Flicking her ears, she stood there in silence and watched.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]Noticing Owlflight, Kaden instantly halted in his tracks, gaze flickering over to her. After a moment's pause, he began to trot towards her, eyes bright. He might as well make some new friends; he needed new friends. No, scratch the new - he needed friends. Besides Andrew, he knew no one in this place. He wanted to integrate into the community, he wanted to become a member of this place, because so far it felt as if he were nothing more than a newbie (which he technically was, but it wasn't as if he wanted to feel that way).

    "Hello there!" he chirped. "I'm Kaden." He wasn't sure if he'd met her before, but she sure looked familiar. He tilted his head to the side slightly, studying her. He liked her scarf.

  • Owlflight instantly regretted staring, but she couldn't run now. He was a dog, and she didn't like dogs. Dogs never did anything to her, and she doesn't really have a reason to dislike them, so why did she? She didn't know, but she had this ideology her entire life, and she would have to be brainwashed for it to be removed. Most of the dogs she met seemed nice or harmless. This one seemed nice.

    Okay, now he just introduced himself. Guess she has to talk now. Blinking slowly, she moved her scarf down so it didn't cover her muzzle. Owlflight continued to look up at him and answered, "Hello, I guess."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]Kaden paused. So, perhaps not as friendly as he'd initially thought. But that was okay. He was sure that she was nice beneath the surface. "Um, what's your name, sorry?" he asked, his voice going an octave higher. He frowned at his squeaky voice. What was that? He paused for a moment, chuckling slightly. Laugh it off, laugh it off.

  • Owlflight blinked slowly at him laughing to himself, unamused. She huffed and sat down, wrapping her tail around herself. "It's Owlflight," she told him in a neutral and smooth tone.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]So perhaps it was a little harder to dig into her nice side. Just needed to peel off the layers. "Well, uh. It's nice to meet you, Owlflight! Kaden, again, in case you didn't hear." He was pretty sure she had, but there was no harm in repeating it. Owlflight didn't seem like the type to remember everyone's names. He certainly didn't remember everyone's names - all in good time, he supposed.

    "So, I'm completely lost." He stated after a moment's pause, trying to spike up the conversation. "Do you know where this is? It's still in ColouredClan's territory, I assume. Very red." He chuckled, gaze sweeping across the crimson vegetation.

  • Owlflight narrowed her eyes when he repeated his name for the second or third time. She knew everyone's name as soon as she heard it. Whether or not she purposely butchered ot was up to her. She didn't butcher anyone's name here because she didn't feel like it. But, that might change.

    "Well, Kandy, we're in a location," she answered, flicking her ears. She never took the time to learn the names of each portion, and she didn't feel like she had to. This might not even be her home.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]"...Kandy?" he asked, blinking. Either she had a thing for nicknames, had a goldfish memory, or just decided to tease him. It was kind of hard to tell. She was so... unreadable. He cleared his thought. "A location? Well, um, that is very informative. Thank you," he paused. "Owlie." If she had a thing for nickname, surely she wouldn't mind if he gave her one?

  • Owlflight growled at her nickname and lashed her tail once in his direction. She silenced the growling and accepted the nickname, if that was what he was doing. He looks too nice to purposely mess up someone's name like she does. "Yes, I am all knowing," she responded sarcastically.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]From the growls, he took that nickname as a no. Would ma'am would be better? He didn't know. At a loss for words, he stayed silent for a moment. But he wouldn't give up, not yet. Besides, he had no idea how to get home. He was kind of stuck here. "Nice weather, isn't it?" he asked cheerfully.

    [color=#D2B48C][b]

  • Owlflight frowned at his awkwardness, even though she has used that phrase before. She really despised awkwardness and shyness. Everyone else called it cute, but it's annoying. "You need a walk," she grumbled, walking off in a random direction. "Come on."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]It was true, he could be awkward. Not shy, quite, he was more of an extrovert; otherwise he would have been outta there before she'd been able to introduce herself. But awkward - that was definitely true. "A walk would be nice." He agreed, even if he doubted he had a say in it. He trotted after her. "This place sure is pretty," he noted.

    [color=#D2B48C][b]

  • "It's all right," she answered, uninterested. Bright colours never captured her attention the way it did others. She should be interested considering she wasn't exposed to them when she was a kitten.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]"I used to travel a lot, you know." Kaden said, eyes fixated on the horizon. Even if she didn't care what he said, he would say them anyway. She was company, even if she wasn't the most chatty, and he was supposed to be making friends, not enemies. "Me and my twin brother, Andrew, we went to a lot of places. I've got to say, though. Out of all of the places, this is by far the best." He smiled faintly. "It's beautiful here."

    He turned to her, tilting his head a little. "Were you born here, or did you join?" he asked curiously.

    The post was edited 1 time, last by Kaden. ().

  • Owlflight really didn't like giving out information about herself, even harmless information like he's asking for. While he couldn't see her face, she narrowed her eyes and slightly bared her teeth. "That's not your information to know," she growled, completely discarding his story about him and his twin.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]Kaden was taken a little aback by her hostile response. He supposed that what was in the past stayed in the past; he wasn't sure what happened, but if she didn't want to share, he couldn't force her to. He could feel curiosity prickle at his skin, but decided not to pry. "Sorry." He said instead, voice quiet. He didn't know what else to say, so he said nothing.

  • Owlflight flicked her ears in acknowledgement of his apology. She took a silent deep breath, quite angered to think clearly. This is why she shouldn't have stared at him, because now he was trying to be her friend. "Yeah," she said very quietly.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]Well this conversation had taken an awkward twist. He frowned slightly. What was he supposed to say now? He'd already used up the weather excuse, what else could he say? Deciding to steer clear of all questions from the past - it seemed like a sensitive topic - he went onto something different. "So, uh, do you come here often?"

  • Kandy was a walking questionnaire, that was for sure. He was getting on her nerves, but she couldn't hurt him. Physically. Owlflight shrugged and thought about an answer. "I guess you could say that," she told him, not looking back. "Why?"
