The reflect being broken caused a snapping effect, like a taut rubber band when cut. This effect practically threw Ryunami to the ground in front of the fence, though she seemed to make no effort to stand back up.

That didn't seem to be the case. If anything, she didn't even react to his presence, so it had to have been pretty bad. She was somewhat paralyzed from the pain of the impact, and more than likely had some pretty awful wounds that weren't quite noticeable yet.
