    it'd be a while since she'd seen games around here, even if she didn't participate in them much. joiners were coming to their borders almost everyday, and the mood was dull thanks to the damage from the raids. so, being the genius kaori was, decided to hold a game. there were sheets of paper beside her, clipped neatly together with a pencils and erasers. "anybody want to play a game?" the stone called out.
    flicking her tail when enough NPCs had gathered, kaori began to explain. "One person makes a “things” statement (for instance, “Things That Make You Smile”) and everyone else writes down an example on a piece of paper. The answers are collected and read aloud and everyone tries to guess who wrote what."
    kaori wasn't sure if she'd participate or not, but she was the host. anyway, she'd rather be amused than be the one being amusing.

Luckily, Noel had missed the raid. She was not a great fighter, at all. She was better at evading things. For instance, when she was little, she grabbed her little brother and saved him from a particularly mean house dog. She had noticed that many of the inhabitants here seemed to be a bit beat up, though she wouldn't have guessed it to be because of a raid. In fact, she wasn't even aware of the fact that this clan had enemies.

    so lapis couldn't write, huh? that was a shame, she felt like lapis would have fun. but with a sympathetic nod towards the head riverguard, she simply looked towards those who had gathered. at chiro's words, she announced the topic: "things that make you... uh, scared. everyone remembers what to do? right down only one example that applies to you, give them to me and i read it out. the other players will then try to decide who wrote the spoken example."

They seemed lively, something that the silver tabby watched through his wide amber eyes in interest. Something that he didn't quite understand. And speaking of things he didn't understand, it wasn't like he could play the game anyways; he didn't know how to use a pencil!

    kaori gave tesell a nod of acknowledgement before shuffling the handed pieces of paper in her paws. it was a bit difficult, but eventually, one of her dew clues grasped onto a piece of paper. carefully putting away the rest of the papers underneath her other paw, the riverguard read the example. looking up with a playful smile, she announced what was written. "who do you think here would be scared of owls?" she looked over to the two watching felines. "you're welcome to join in the guessing bit."

There was no way Kaneki was afraid of owls right? Then again, Noel looked a lot like an owl. Haha, maybe she was part owl and didn't realize it, it would be really ironic if she was. He put his paw down and yawned before replying casually, "Her~" and gesturing to Noel, green eyes glancing towards her skeptically. Too bad he didn't know her name, that would work though.

    The gargoyle was trying to get used to not sleeping during the day, and boy was he tired. He teetered forward to join the others in their game, too sleepy to think about how he was separated from Valerian; instead, his stone eyes focused on those gathered. He'd caught the directions to the game with his large ears, but when Kaori announced the prompt, he simply let out a chittering, chirpy laugh, beginning to click in morse code. Maybe one of them would know it. "I ain't scared of nothin'! Things are scared of me! I fought off lotsa big, scary demons!!" the bat creature chirped as he hopped around, stone fur poofed out sharply as he imitated his "fighting moves." He wasn't actually talking, but rather using his usual squeaks and chirps to speak, and to be completely honest, he looked rather silly. These people would have to learn his language if they wanted to understand him, as he was but a mute smol, but for now he would help them. Pausing in his hopping, he carefully scratched in the dirt with one hooked claw what he had originally said, spelling a few words wrong in the process, but trying his best anyway. His writing looked like something a kindergartner would write, which was accurate since he was pretty young at this point. After he was done, he sat back up and waved his spiked tail back and forth, using his wing to tap each word with a few clicks and squeaks to translate them. They had to learn somehow! He was determined! He then glanced at who was pointing at another person, and he nodded in satisfaction. Yes, he agreed with that guy! Hopefully Kaori understood that, and he looked toward her just to make sure, pointing to Noel as well. "I think it's pretty girl!"

Athena barked, glancing over to Noel. There were a few new faces gathered, and she felt slightly embarrassed that she didn't know them yet. That was only temporary though, since Athena would most likely hold a meet and greet soon, just to rally up the newer members and introduce herself.

    [justify][size=8]☆ Noel's face grew red and she stifled a grin, though smiling back at Kaori. Well, she didn't last very long. The french apprentice blinked at Remus, blushing a tad bit. Pretty girl? That sounded like a compliment- how kind of him. Her ears perked up at the next question. Drowning.. who there looked like a bad swimmer? Welp, Noel was stumped. "Is it her?" Noel guessed, gesturing towards Athena. It was a wild guess, as she had absolutely no idea who of the group would be afraid of drowning.
