She had been so scared when Mal was captured, and she had nightmares of it happening again while she was there watching. She didn't know what to do, how to fight off others, how to protect herself and him. She worried about being captured again, about him being captured again. The questions that ran through her mind all day were too many to count, just like the number of nightmares she had at night. Too many. She hated it all. Waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air, heart racing, thick white fur making her feel too warm; the same nightmares repeating over and over again each night; the fear of losing him. She hated it, but never once thought about going back to the old den. Her life here was better than ever and she did not want that to change.

She sat near the crystal waters of the salt lake, on the beach trying to clear her mind of... everything. So far, it didn't seem to be working. Her thoughts always wandered off to her boyfriend. As her mind kept thinking of Mal, she stared into the water to see her reflection. Tilting her head she wondered, if she turned invisible while staring at her own reflection, would she still see herself? Or would she nothing at all? She decided to test her theory.

Her invisibility, she knew, was a great tool in the event of a fight. Disappearing into thin air would confuse opponents and allow her to attack without being seen. If she knew the right way to attack without exposing vitals. She continued fading in and out of the visible spectrum while staring at herself, even catching herself half visible at one point.

Even while fascinating herself with her power, she could still remember the captures and the pain she felt and the heart break of losing Mal. She remembered it all too well.
