  • I'm 99.999% sure there's a thread for this but I couldn't find any so I'm assuming its free game.

Talk about Halo, the games, the books, theories, etc. etc. etc.

Please be nice and don't go on a rampage if I or anyone else gets information wrong this is just a discussion thread

Anyway, to start things off, what are your guys's favorite maps from any of the games? Mine is Skyline from Halo 4 and Sandtrap from Halo 3 :D

  • I've never really paid attention to the maps, I've always enjoyed the story of the games and the books though.
I think Forge World from Reach was my favorite. So much opportunity to make different maps from it and to have fun with friends.

  • I have a a thing we can talk about.
Where is the Flood now in the current Halo universe?
I mean we saw one on the ship. There could be more tho.
Do you guys wanna see more brutes?
Who here is excited for Halo Wars 2?

  • You are right, there could definitely be more. Maybe it's just dying out? Or it could be hiding somewhere in space, multiplying. It did something like that way before, and it's explained in The Forerunner Saga.
Brutes were always my least favorite, so I don't personally want them back.
I've never played the original Halo Wars, but I'm always excited for another Halo game!!

  • Brutes are actually a very important part of the plot I think, and the flood are most likely hiding far away. A Gravemind is too smart to have not left something to cover its back. Should the brutes come back though? Halo CE was fine without them... it's up to opinion I suppose

  • Brutes were necessary to the plot in the first trilogy of Halo games. Now? I don't think they're that important and kinda boring.

I think they're time in Halo and their place in the plot has been finished by now. There's really no more reason for them to be in the games at this point.

  • Well some San'Shyuum fled before they were annihilated, wouldn't be surprised to find out that they bring brutes if they return. Not that brutes are good at anything but hitting something, but you know lol

That is a good point! Maybe they can have some significance to the plot. 343i probably won't make much good of it lmao

  • That's... true. Well, we can all hope. I wonder if they'll ever make a game thst involves the Human-Forerunner war or Flood-Forerunner war.

I hope they make one about the Human-Forerunner war. To me, that one seems to hold a lot more potential and interest since it's so little touched upon, and I don't think the Flood-Forerunner war would be that much different from the Human-Flood war.

  • I thought the same, though one could lead to the other if it ever happened as the Humans defeating the flood would be major, especially that they did it when in was with the flood (as you know). So flood would probably be involved somewhere.

I wouldn't disagree. The Humans did a lot more than the Forerunners when it came to the flood; the Forerunners only pushed the Flood back, while the Humans near defeated it. Both ways seem very interesting and I'd love to see both of them.
