clouds, clouds...so many clouds dotting the sky. the very, very blue sky. a giggle squeezed it's way past their lips. something was trickling down their face. they squinted and spat out a sticky glob of something. a putrid smell hung around them. a dried substance stuck to their face, chest, and heck. the sun was bright. hurting their eyes. they rolled over, and covered their wild eyes with bloodstained paws. at the sight of these rusty appendages, however, they let out a horrified gargle, and their eyes fully opened for the first time in days.

they stumbled to their paws and set off at a hobbling trot, trying to put as much distance between them and the bloody hillside as possible. panting, their mouth hung open, revealing unnaturally long fangs, still hungering for blood. they stumbled over a fallen bough in their path and tripped, landing on their face. those fangs didn't bother to retract, and sliced open their lips, causing more blood to slip down their face. choking on their own blood, they remained where they had fallen, wheezing for breath.

usul turned their head to gaze up at the blue, blue sky through crisscrosses of branches. something wet was trickling down their back, but it wasn't thick enough to be blood. awkwardly, they reached behind them and ripped the already tattered satchel off their back. the bottom edge of it was damp. cursing, they fumbled with the drawstrings, but gaze up and just slit it open. several half empty glass bottles fell out, and pieces of glass. one they stepped on, slicing their paw nearly to the bone. bowling with pain, usul curled up in the fetal position. their mind, exhausted from the battles that had been fought in it previously, was bone tired now. they could hardly think. the long, deep gashes across their face, eclipsing their right eye, were still losing blood, but they felt nothing. the stench of blood, unwashed bodies, and liquor hung around them. mumbling intelligibly, usul fought a mental battle against enemy forces. there was a noise like someone pounding on a drum...but it was just their head. a jumble of voices, all shouting, crowded their skull.

"leave me alone." they sobbed, alone in their misery. the blue skies turned grey and opened up, pouring out their sorrows on the tormented feline. their grey and white fur, once neat and well-kept, was matted with blood and in some places torn out. old scars made a pattern across their left flank. new wounds made a quit of usul's face, wide, deep gashes, put there by something larger than a cat. emerald eyes flickered open briefly, then closed again in defeat.

Fawn often meandered about. Her delicate form knew this place well, and she was confident innevery step her paws took. Her russet fur blazed in the light of the high sun, until cloud cover dominated with its distasteful darkness. She gave a grumble, and was answered with a growl of deep thunder. Looking at the low clouds above, with their chuning mass, she felt a drop splash upon her pink nose. The small drizzle quickly grew into a downpour, and she ran for the cover of trees to wait out the storm. Until she spotted the huddled form of Usul near the border, injured as far as the former medic could tell.

Giving a nod, mainly to her subconscious self, she steeled herself. Escaping the rather suffocating cover of the trees, making her way toward Usul. Her pale tan paws, standing out against her soaked red fur, raced over the landscape beneath her fleeting form, and she had to start stopping several feet from Usul to keep from skidding over the mud and wet grass. Her mind raked through her herbal knowledge, going over every possible treatment for whatever wounds the other had sustained, cause unknown. One paw flying to unlatch her satchel, she stopped herself. No. She wasn't a medic anymore, no longer. She couldn't help in the way she wanted. So instead she would help the way others would. Tentatively stepping forward, she said softly, "E-Excuse me.."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 400px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 120%]usul's eyes twitched beneath their eyelids, then flew open. crazed emeralds latched onto the speaker, fawn. they tried to speak, but choked on their own blood, still trickling into their throat. coughing, they doubled over, and blood sprayed the soaked ground. heaving for breath, they fought to squeeze a sentence past their quivering maw. their pearly white flange flashed as usul swung their head up to stare at fawn. "d-d-d-don't touch m-m-m-m-m-me!" they managed, voice a strangled gargle. usul shook their head violently, splattering the leaves with more blood. they tried to focus; they couldn't remember where they were.

their eyes rolled back into their head once more as the pain washed over him. the wounds on their face were still bleeding, but slower now; it was drying and clogging more with every passing minute. their face contorted as the pain in their head contracted. "d-d-d-don't m-m-m-make me..." usul muttered, whimpering a bit. suddenly their eyes shot open. they forced themself upright, and an alarming thing happened. their eyes, once forest green, looked cobalt blue for a moment, then green again. they gagged, wobbling on their paws, as control was wrested back and forth.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt]The scent of blood was what caught Gameboy's attention to immediately come over to the scene, ending up seeing his unfamiliar clanmate with a bloody stranger nearby. He didn't stop himself from flinching at how extremely awful the other's condition was, wondering what had possibly happened that was perhaps worse compare to what SunClan had to go through. Whatever it was, they were rather traumatized about it. Fucking hell... He watched them telling the female who was also a former medic of the clan and not wanting them to suffer anymore time, Gameboy stayed in his position and had his paws gripping tightly against the surface so he wouldn't subconsciously come closer to them. "Hey, hey pal, look at me... Please, look at me..." His words were like honey slowly dripping from a tree, it sounded smooth, heavy and thick with reassurance and desperation in the end and it was slow so they could catch up on what he wanted to say to them just in case. The black feline held on to his breath as he waited for a brief moment before he continued speaking, more softly than ever. He thought that his injuries needed to be dealt after what he was going to try and do to him, doing it everything at once wouldn't work. Not like that, unfortionately. "I need you to hold your breath deeply, hold on to it and let it out. Try to ignore everyone and everything else but me. I need you to calm down, please..." Oh god, this was extremely painful to through this...

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 400px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 120%]usul's wild green eyes, or eye, since only one was working, latched onto gameboy. they tried to focus; to process the other's words. their mind was slow, it was like wading through syrup. their lips parted slightly as they made an effort to speak, still not one hundred percent sure what the stranger had said in the first place. they tried to speak and found they could not. gingerly usul cleared their throat, wincing at the pain. their breathing slowed down a bit, along with their heart rate, as they concentrated on gameboy's face and voice.

"i-i-i-" the moment their voice broke the silence, usul fell to a stuttering stop, a horrified expression on their face. it wasn't that their voice was hoarse and strangled from an older throat wound (now mostly healed), but that it wasn't the voice they were supposed to have. a different soul, this one belonging to a much younger feline, had taken control, but had no true understanding of what had happened to them and what they were. they only knew that they were in pain, and they wanted it to go away. the host body tried to obey gameboy's instructions, at first - deep, shuddering breaths, but the soul started to panic when it caught a glimpse of the frame it resided in. it wasn't the wounds that bothered it. it was the frame itself. it was all wrong. too old, for one thing - and it had all the wrong parts. responding to their panic, their breathing quickened again, and their eyes took on a panicky light. "i-i-i-i-i c-c-c-c-can't - g-g-g-g-get m-m-me o-o-o-o-o-out." usul's tone was pleading, desperate, and very afraid. instinctively, though it was not one of the current soul's instincts, they reached for one of the unbroken bottles and made to take gulp of the clear liquid inside.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt]He was pretty much holding on to his breath while he was watching them trying to do as they were told to. He was happy that they did, and hope was so close, just being there in his spring green eyes as it was covered in fear and concern at what could possibly happen next, yet he wasn't anymore when they began to panic. They blew up at the realization and Gameboy felt like he was freaking out as well because what the actual fuck. 'Shit.' Cursing inside his head, the black feline didn't help himself but to get closer to them in a slow pace, mentally putting up a sign that he was going to hurt him, with his whole body lowering close to the ground, ears flattened and putting an effort to make his muscles less tensed. He heard how the stranger was trying to speak, so he had to come closer so he could hear them properly. He just hoped that they won't think of him as a threat still if they did at first glance. I can't get me out, said the stranger. Get them out... Of what?' Gameboy managed to hear what they said and slightly furrowed his eyebrows, confused. What... what did they mean by that? He stood there. For a second, he thought that they were talking about a voice, yet they referred to themselves, so they couldn't be... Gameboy snapped himself. They were still in pain and he had to help them. He could think about what he just said later and rolled along with it for now. Just... thinking about it now, it wasn't a good time doing it so. "I... We need to patch you up, I promise we won't hurt you. We want to help and we will try and get you out from whatever mystery you're going through. But don't think about that, do you remember what I need you to do just a minute ago? Do it again and don't think about you, yourself, think on your breathing pace." Gameboy said, this time more sternly as he really wanted them to go around in circles again, he was so, so close to making them calm.

  • [align=center][size=6px][color=transparent]#fawnaaphc[fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 1px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: hidden; text-align: justify; font-family: calibri;]
She was about to speak, when Gameboy stepped in. She retracted into the silence she knew so well, letting the rain soak her already drenched fur. Her form appeared with her fur clinging to her frame, skinny, as usual. Long ears still up despite her urge to pu them down, she listened and watched. She did that best, anyway.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; width: 400px; font-size: 8pt;text-align:justify; line-height: 120%]for a moment, usul seemed not to have heard gameboy's pleas. they fumbled awkwardly with the bottle, but got it open, and immediately chugged the whole damn thing. once the alcohol entered their system, it seemed to have the opposite effect on them than other people. their spine straightened, and their eyes sharpened. the liquor seemed to have brought on a change in their expression, as well; when they looked at gameboy now, there was true comprehension in their gaze. again they opened their mouth as if to speak, but apparently thought better of it, and deigned to follow gameboy's "advice". briefly their eyes closed, and their breathing began a forced descent from it's previous speed. a spasm passed over the feline's face, though, as some internal grapple for power went sour. it disappeared quickly, though, and once more usul made an attempt to communicate. they still did not appear fully aware of the horrific wounds they had sustained. this time they were a bit calmer, though still difficult to understand. "w-w-w-where a-a-am i?"

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt](Forgot to ask, can you state what is Usul's injuries? Thank you ^,^)

His eyes widened when he saw the other beginning to drink and he was going to slap the bottle out of it as he thought how the alcohol could help them during this situation (what? Does it make their wounds healed just like that? thought Gameboy). He decided not to as he watched their expression suddenly changing and observed their rather odd behavior with cautious. Gameboy didn't know what the hell was happening, but obviously he didn't like this at all. In fact, he was kinda scared to know what could happen next. The tension that was happening here to his eyes did dyed down when they spoke, this time it wasn't as worse than before, thankfully. "SunClan." Was all he said in respond. Assuming they were okay, they glanced over to the hybrid who was still nearby and giving her a silent nod as to allow her do what she wanted to do (as he assumed she had healing experiences) as he decided not to join in and instead he would interact with Usul, kinda distracting to them, he guessed. "Where were you before you got here... if I may ask?" Gameboy would then shoot back the inquire in return, tilting his head slightly as he would try to form a puzzle that was going on in this scene at the moment, deeply frowning.

  • [align=center][size=6px][color=transparent]#fawnaaphc[fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 1px;width: 375px; margin-center: -5px; overflow: hidden; text-align: justify; font-family: calibri;]"Alrighty. Now time to hope Steve doesn't have my ass for this," she muttered quietly, pulling her satchel over her head. Taking a tentative step closer, she gave Gameboy a look to make sure he kept Usul distracted. "You don't mind if we help, yes?" she asked softly.

usul caught the displeased look in gameboy's face and gingerly sat down the bottle. at the mention of sunclan, they scratched their head in confusion, causing flakes of dried blood to descend and the wounds to reopen a little. they eyes fawn warily, their one good eye narrowed. rather than reply to gameboy's inquiry, they focused on fawn's mutterings. when they spoke again, their voice was raspy, and a little hard to understand from the alcohol. this wasn't their first drink. "wh-wh-who's s-s-steve?" the feline slurred, spraying everything in range with blood from the cuts on their lip. "s-s-sorry." messily they tried to whip off some of the excess blood, getting more all other themself in the process. embarrassed now, if their brain was even capable of embarrassment in their state, they remembered gameboy's question. they weren't entirely sure they could answer it. they had been somewhere...somewhere with a cute girl and some hot guy...kaito his name was. slowly they started to recall more. "s-s-somewhere with a-a-an 'x-x-x' t-t-type of n-n-name. e-e-e-exile?" is that a place, usul wondered, or had they just imagined that? they wouldn't have been surprised.

"It's alright, I'm used to worse," she said, although shuddering inwardly. God she hoped this person wasn't sick or she was screwed. Taking out a cloth and letting the rain soak it. "Leader of SunClan. He was the first person I ever met, and he's very nice. You'll like him if you meet him. Although sometimes he can be a bit..stony? It happens more often than late, but as far as my knowledge goes, he's still got some of the Steve I first met still in him," she said.

While she had been talking, she gingerly started to wipe the blood from their wounds. She cleaned away the dried blood sealing their eye shut. Looking back at Gameboy, she spoke softly. "Do you have any way to keep the rain off us? Usul needs dry bandages in order for everything to stay in place," she said, pausing before looking back at the being she was caring for, "Or do you feel like you can walk to the village or treeline?"

"i-i-i can d-d-d-d-do that." they replied firmly, though the quiver in their voice, still decidedly shaken, ruined the effect. when aldo walked up, the muscles in their face twitched alarmingly, and for a moment their eyes glazed over again before they came back to their senses. at aldo's inquiries, their eyes widened in panic, and they glanced pleadingly at gameboy and fawn for assistance.

At the mention of the name and immediately remembering when he got stabbed right into the chest after he was trying to save his girlfriend, he narrowed his spring green eyes slightly and a faint growl could be heard as his chest was rising and lowering more quickly. Of course they would have done this. Those fuckers. His mind broke apart from each other and at Fawn's inquire, it managed to put him back to the reality and shook his head, wide eyes now on the other former Physician... Oh, oh... "Yeah." Gameboy said, almost bitterly, conjuring few umbrellas and with a harsh inhale, he lifted his forepaw up to create the winds that could push the umbrellas over to Fawn and the stranger and kept it that way. His ears twitched when he heard Aldo and glancing his shoulder over to him, while he was trying to stay focus on making the umbrellas still hovering Fawn and the injured fellow. "It's blood. How about you go and get some water and food." The black feline would respond to the odd creature along with giving him an order. He didn't look at him any more longer until his gaze was on the stranger once again and silent,y mouthed them "it'll be okay." Honestly, his mind was now still kinda all over the place with the Exiles. After everything they had done to him, he wasn't so sure how it wouldn't.

"a-a-a-a-are y-y-y-you going t-t-t-t-to make me l-l-l-leave?" the tremor in their voice became more pronounced, and fear visibly crossed their face. it wasn't rational to think that gameboy and fawn would kick them out after they had been so kind to him, but usul wasn't thinking rationally. they had picked up on a bit of gameboy's displeasure, which, though not directed at them, had triggered an unpleasant memory or two.

He didn't realize the stranger was asking anyone in particular and when he did, his ears twitched and had his hardened gaze back to them. "No, no, I - we won't." replied Gameboy, shaking his head as he responded in a quiet tone. He was a bit surprised that they would ask such a thing, yet the former Physician could kinda see why they would. "Instead you're going to stay here with us until you have enough rest and your wounds are healed. Or if you decide to stay here for permanently, that works perfectly fine too." Obviously was he going to keep an eye on them. Who knew what they had been going through than just a broken mind and bloody wounds.
