Who's that raven-haired teen? You thought that was ELIZABETH JANE BISHOP? No, that's just BLAIR BARNETT, daughter of NYX and a HUNTER of Olympian Hill! She might seem like a MYSTERIOUS LONER, but she's actually EASY TO GET TO LAUGH and a GOOD LISTENER. Blair is BRIGHT and QUICK-WITTED but comes off as a total INTROVERT. She can be very VOCAL and SUNNY, but is also known to be CRYPTIC; she's like a vine-covered labyrinth to most of the Campers here. She seems to be a SINGLE PRINGLE, but hopefully not for long. You can usually see her in the NYX CABIN or the LIBRARY, if she isn't lying in the shade of her favorite ASH TREE.[/fancypost]

She was then transported to the county hospital, where she was added into the foster system. She was adopted at the age of three by Marcus and Simon, who raised the quiet yet charming toddler. Simon frequently photographed the baby, with pictures of her and of the three of them together covering the walls of their modest apartment in the heart of San Francisco.

Blair became an avid reader and would often stay up to read well into the night, which became a problem as she would get increasingly more tired during the day. Blair always seemed to be more lively at night, when her personality seemed to shine through. When Blair was old enough, Simon gave her her first Polaroid and she treasures it more than any other item she owns. She tried her hand at photography in middle school, but when she tagged along to one of Simon's shoots, a colleague of his suggested the willowy teen give modeling a go. Modeling came even easier than photography did to Blair, coming alive behind the inky lenses. Her most well-known shoots were for a popular clothing brand in the dead of night on the pier.

Blair had her first encounter with a monster a month after she turned 14, having been chased through an empty park and down the winding maze of San Franciscan streets before a dark figure apprehended the creature. He spoke of immortal blood and a camp for kids like her, was given just enough information to get her there, then vanished. Blair was troubled by this life-changing event, and turned to her books fr the answer. She researched greek mythology and folklore for months before she connected the dots. She attended Olympian Hill that summer under the guise of an arts camp scholarship. She was able to stretch the excuse farther through high school as she 'became a counselor' at the camp so her fathers wouldn't get suspicious.[/fancypost]

Blair can see through any natural darkness (night, shadows, etc). She is partially skilled at SHADOW CONSTRUCTION. Blair is able to create constructs out of shadows and manipulate them, even to the extent of speaking through them. These constructs must be puppeteered through the use of shadow 'strings', however they can be inanimate objects as well. The constructs cannot be bigger than she is. She is somewhat skilled at SHADOW WEAPONRY. She is able to form weapons out of shadow, which work the same way as a physical weapon would. However, only one weapon can be created at a time. Blair must be in direct contact with the weapon at all times of use. The weapon also cannot be larger than she is. These particular weapons seem to shimmer, and opponents will often loose track of the weapon as they are hard to focus on and see.[/fancypost]

Marc is very laid back and more of the 'cool' dad than Simon. He is in a local acoustic band and works for a non-profit business that helps children learn about music and the arts.
SIMON WRENWITCH is BLAIR's OTHER DAD. Simon is more of a worrier and is the one who sets rules and curfews and deals with consequences whenever Blair misbehaves. He's a photographer for a well-known magazine and is often away on shoots.
VINCENT is BLAIR's PUPPY. Vinny is a tan and white french bulldog that she got as a present for her 12th birthday from her fathers.[/fancypost]
