    “What the…?!” Kaori stumbled back in surprise as she drew herself away from her reflection on the shiny river, almost crashing into a passing npc. She didn’t even mutter a sorry, but merely a hiss of annoyance; and she had no idea why.
    Ever since the merge with the unknown panther had commenced, there were some minor changes to her body. First off was the lavender coloured eyes which were originally a deep green that were said to be rare in the world. Now that pride had been taken away from her.
    Second were the somewhat visible moons imprinted on top of all her dew claws. Why they were there, kaori didn’t know. The panther didn’t even bother communicating with her, and she had no idea how to ask for the panther’s help anyway.
    But this change was something that chiro, she knew, would not cooperate with.
    Kaori had fangs as sharp as a knife. Her jaws were doing somewhat fine now, but her tongue showed no signs of immediate recovery, though she was okay with that. The stone was still of use anyway.
    “Wh-why do I…” kaori muttered to herself as she looked into the river again, her body cringing at the sight of her fangs. “I’m not turning into a vampire, right?”

    The kit made her way up, not knowing what was going on, "What's a vampire?" she asked, the kit had never heard of that before. Since she was still unaware of supernatural creatures that lived in some clan, some that were nice and others that were evil. He had a hatred for the fanged beasts that went beyond just dislike, it was something so powerful it could knock your socks off. The boy who seemed to have no emotions at all some times held such a powerful hatred that was frighteningly serious, and that hatred was indiscriminate. He didn't care if his own parents were vampires- if they were alive and had the same disease, he would kill them heartlessly. Prove to them he was exactly the demon they thought he was.


    To think that the dark-furred feline had been casually strolling around when he spotted her, teeth bared at her own reflection, about to approach when he heard the words spoken from her mouth. Vampire. Ice leaked through his body as he curled his lip threateningly, hesitating only for a moment before the swift shing of his sword being unsheathed was heard and the feline immediately pointed the tip in her direction with a look in his green eyes that could kill.


    "You have ten seconds to tell me you're joking before I separate your head from your shoulders." Unlile his usual taunting tone, this Yuichiro was cold and serious as he stared at the Riverguard with a ruthless expression. This was the Yuu that had seen his family be imprisoned and slaughtered like livestock by the vampires, the Yuu who had been stupid enough to come to care for people who died in the end. The Yuu that would stop at absolutely nothing to get revenge for the blonde boy he had left to die to make up for leaving him behind. His eyes narrowed as he bared his teeth, Asuramaru's green blade glowing more intensely. [i]"I'll kill her without a second thought."

    [justify]The medic was quick to react, glancing at Kaori and Wildkit, and then at Yuichiro before planting himself firmly in between them - he cared for Yuichiro, yes, but he would not tolerate him trying to harm another Clanmate. He would much rather take the hit himself instead of Kaori; he would heal in some time anyway. "Calm yourself and stand down," Kaneki said, voice level as he stared down at Yuu. "You don't attack Clanmates, even if they are vampires." There was a pause as he thought about what to say before continuing on. "I know that you despise them, but this is unacceptable."

    "So you can...turn people? Bully!", erupted the fluffed one as he flew from long grasses onto the pebbly shore. He could imagine himself lurking around at night dressed in one of the concealing capes and with cloak drawn close to his face to mask it he'd strike forward and nip some one on the neck only to back away and admire the work he had accomplished. Such fangs would be helpful for hunting and God only knew he needed more assistance in his prey killing.

    spinning around at an unfamiliar voice, her hackles began to rise at the young kit before realising what she'd said. her face softened lightly, but the weird feeling in her mouth knew that these fangs weren't going to get a normal reaction from everyone like wildkit had done. she wished more people were like her sometimes. "A vampire is someone that sucks blood from others to live.. as long as they get enough blood, they can live for thousands of years. they're also very powerful," she explained before hissing at the presence of chiro.


    the riverguard took a step back into the shallow water as the taller feline approached with that sword of his again. she wanted to move, she wanted to run. but kaori couldn't, her eyes only wide as possible scenes flashed through her head. "chiro, I..." kaori broke off into silence, an ocean of relief crashing down her walls of alarm when the medic arrived.


    thanks kaneki. kaori thought quietly as her ears twitched, staring down chiro from her spot behind kaneki's back. "i-i'm not turning into a vampire, right ken?" kaori added questioningly at the medic, taking a few slow steps forward. she didn't want to feast on others just so she could live forever. forever was a long time, and it wasn't pleasant seeing your loved ones wither away while you remained youthful-looking.

    tom's sudden presence and words startled her, a few seconds wasted as she registered his words yet failed to make proper sense of it. kaori swore she was going deaf. "I can... what now?" [/fancypost]

"As long as you don't have the need to drink blood to survive, I don't think you are one," he added. He had also heard of people having fangs as mutations and not being vampires; that was probably what had happened in Kaori's case. "I think Tom is referring to how, in literature, vampires are able to turn other people into vampires."

    Fangs, they were something that Wavepool had gotten a long time ago, and her vampirism had come not too long after that. She had to admit, Kaori's fangs looked quite a bit like her own, and if she wasn't mistaken, then both of their fangs were probably poisonous as well. "Erm, are th-they poisonous? M-Mine are, s-so maybe you should ch-check...you know, b-before you accidentally h-hurt anyone..." The fem really hoped she didn't have to step in and restrain Yuichiro, she could probably do it with ease, but she didn't want to do that to him, she was a little afraid she might hurt him on accident
