Being the only bar in the entire world that would accept them, Gillian anchored his crew down at Tortuga to visit The Drunken Duck, ran by an old friend of the crew. He benefited from their exploits, and gave them a place in stay in times of need. The owner already kicked out all other patrons to allow for the crew to relax in peace for some time. Not everyone was on shore, some stayed behind on the ship to keep an eye on the ship and the prisoners. The night was peaceful, the moon was out, and aside from the usual drunken shenanigans from those outside, Tortuga was oddly quiet.
Gillian took another large drink from the rum in front of him and sighed,"another drawback to this oh so lovely curse. For some reason we can't get drunk. Which doesn't make sense considering everything else." The captain had his left arm covered up completely with his cloak, but his right hand was locked tight around his mug. At least he was able to taste the drink. He was set on leaving in the morning, but having one night of rest for his crew was something they all needed from time to time, and considering they hadn't been to Tortuga for a month, it was well deserved.
Levi remained on board the Ivory Siren, motionless on the deck, leaning against the main mast. His eyes were closed, and his arms were across his chest. He kept his ears open in case of danger. He could still remember the smell of salty waters, despite not having actually smelled it for years. He tried to recreate the smell in his mind for comfort, but he couldn't do so as easily any more. His snake-like tongue brushed against the back of his fangs, reminding him why he can't smell the ocean anymore. He wished for a way out of the curse, but for now he just had to deal with it.
Fredrick was silent below deck in his cage. He decided not to use his odd power, and instead was getting sleep, not sure when they were going to take off next.
