Kaori hated swearing. She really did. Even thinking of them made her consider that she’d be punished severely if she swore inside her head, perhaps pain would be involved. Those were all fairy tales now. It was spring, and it was so hot. Really hot, so hot the river couldn’t submerge her into coolness. Her mind was in a motion of rage.
It wasn’t a very peaceful day either. She was searching up some information on vampires after her conversation with chiro, but was rudely kicked out but a group of NPCs, the same ones that kept disturbing her sleep three nights in a row.
“Right now, I really wish I could suck the life out of those *holes,” the stone bitterly stated to a rock. That’s right. A rock . She was crazy enough right now to talk to a lifeless object.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]"Poor choice of words, huh." Yuichiro was probably flirting with death approaching the girl he had nearly ripped the throat out of earlier especially while she was in such a foul mood, but it seemed to go right over the oblivious boy's head as he watched from a distance, perhaps the ten foot distance he placed between them the only smart decision he was going to make today. He wasn't going to let her kill him or anything anyways, he still had to exact revenge and repay Mika for all the boy had done for him in his nine months of living, there was no getting around that. He was a stubborn bastard. He lifted a brow, speculative green eyes shining thoughtfully. "'Suck the life out of?' You want me to kill you or something?"

Like an idiot he crossed the space between them with a leisurely pace, ears flicking backwards. He hadn't been given a clear answer earlier about her link to vampires and he was determined to figure such right here and now, so he could determine whether or not her blood would stain his paws today. Not that... he'd actually... killed a vampire, but... that didn't mean he necessarily couldn't. His piercing gaze narrowed on her curiously, wondering who these assholes she was referring to were. Getting on the girl's bad side seemed like a poor life choice, but he was too shallow to realize that in this moment. He was all about bad life choices anyways. "Which assholes might you be referring to anyways? I doubt there's anything that rock could do about it."

//it's fine cx being late is better than never!

Kaori looked over her shoulder in surprise as a voice sounded behind her ears. It was when she saw the face of chiro did she scowl, flashes of his threatening movements replaying inside her head. Not right now, not with a mindless bastard like you was all that flipped inside her rather than a welcoming smile or a friendly wave. Definitely crowned the friendliest apprentice of all clans.
"You'd be dead before you can make a move on me," the stone growled softly as kaori sent him a very cold look. Her words were empty of course, and she wasn't aware that nobody was around. So if they did get into a physical quarrel, the winner would be the always-angry wolf (?) in front of her.
Now, if you thought she was made a bold move, you were wrong. Taking another step forward would be the last thing she would've done. This guy was 100% new to these kind of situations. "No wonder your family got killed," kaori muttered under her breath before casually adding her answer to his useless question. "Would you rip my throat out this time if I said it was you? are you going to 'tsch', or are you going to send me a verbal essay of your threats?"
there were many open moves right now for chiro.[/fancypost]

The dark-furred feline gave a low scoff, emerald eyes dancing. It was interesting to see how angry she got at him, playing with people was fun for guys like him who had a death wish. He was about to add something else when she spoke again, and her words made his blood run cold, his anger clearly showing on his face. The blade strapped to his side glowed in warning as Asuramaru teased, "You let your weakness air out in the open too easily, Yuu! No wonder you get made fun of so much." Yuu hissed in response, expression colder than the usual scowl. "You're lying." His sentence was blunt as he recovered from her family comment, though his voice was still particularly icy as he lifted a feline brow. [b]"You said it plural, as in more than one. It's not just me that's pissing you off, hmm?"

He got her. He got her good. But that didn't mean she'd surrender. No, surrender meant weakness. And weakness would get you killed. Only fools surrendered. Kaori wasn't a fool. Not yet anyway.
"I'm surprised you can tell the difference," she answered with a light smirk, her mind blank in response of comebacks. It took her a moment to add on."Anyway, what's with you carrying that blade around? Looks like you're going to attack anyone that says the word vampire." Her lips twitched in a silent cry of mocking laughter. Yet deep inside, she was dreading looking at the blade again. It was sharp and pointy like claws and a snake's fangs, ready to slice skin. Ready to kill. of course it would look like it's ready to kill. It's a blade, after all... kaori thought, trying to comfort herself. Didn't work.

"You're dodging the question~" he sang, sauntering closer with a mocking lift of his lip. It was rather fun to piss people off just to see their reactions, especially after being around people like Mikaela who simply couldn't be pissed off no matter how hard he tried. He blinked at the thought. What he wouldn't give to have Mika sitting there like an idiot smiling while Yuu screamed at him. Standing in his place was some stubborn girl who liked to stick her nose in his business. Muttering under his breath, he receded, pinning his ears. "Eh, whatever. I don't care either way." He paused for a moment before suddenly unsheathing Asuramaru and pointing the tip directly at her in a swift movement, the lightness of the sword in his paws making the movement fluid and lethal at the same time. A playful smirk wrote across his jaw as he tilted the blade and let it glint under the sunlight, the silver and green providing a frightening contrast as they led right up to the Representative. "You mean my Asuramaru?" "I'm not your anything." He ignored the demon. "Me and him are the same. We'll cut open anything that gets in our way, I just happen to like cutting things with longer fangs that suck blood to live."

who cares? she thought as she imagined her claws digging deep into his vocal chords and ripping them out. That was a bad idea though, everyone would mistake her as a murderer and chiro as an innocent hothead. That was a bad image, chiro had full potential to become a murderer. Maybe he already was with all the ‘vampire’ business, a guilty predator hiding in riverclan territory. But what did she know? Obviously nothing. One day she’d know everything.
She blinked at his abrupt words, they were thinking the sa– no, no they weren’t. Kaori took a surprised step back and a hiss of natural instinct as the blade was inches from her throat. She growled at his expression. He looked like he was having fun, but that was because he was controlling the game, not her. Kaori felt a stab of annoyance, she should’ve seen this coming. “pretty stupid to name a blade,” the stone rasped before noting his incorrect grammar. “And it’s ‘him and I’, genius.”
being lame, she attempted to swipe his chest with a back kick. Aliah had taught her the very basics of martial arts, but not when she was injured.

Asuramaru was suddenly eager as the green edge of the blade began to glow and produce a faint smoke before Yuu rolled his eyes, ignoring the petty demon as he continued to lament over his injured ego. "It wasn't like I named the stupid th-" His arrogant words were interrupted as she suddenly lashed out at him, and he stumbled backwards as Asuramaru fell as his side though she did graze him, causing him to hiss and flatten his ears. He swiftly picked up his blade again and pointed at her with less laziness than before, eyes narrowed into thin slits. "Kutabare! What the hell do you think you're doing, huh?"

A wave of relief washed over as he stumbled back, allowing her to break – wait, nope. That wasn’t happening. The blade was right there again, she carefully noted how it had glowed and produced a thin trail of smoke earlier, inches from her skin. But Kaori was out of breath, and she didn't have much of a kick left to do anymore. It took a lot of energy just to do that one kick. But it didn't stop her from replying in a sarcastic tone. “Baka, didn’t anyone tell you not to swear in front of children?” kaori mocked as her eyes glazed over his. She would’ve liked to do more kung fu-ish moves, but her energy was long gone. Her body was beginning to shake, but she held her ground from collapsing into a heap of tiredness. With his defence way up, kaori had no choice but to annoy him, though the chances of him finding mercy was doubtful. “You shouldn’t be doing this to an upper rank anyway,” she added, remembering when he merely snorted at her ‘rank’ comment a couple days back.

"As a matter of fact yes, but I never listen to him so it doesn't matter." His brow furrowed as he mentioned Mikaela, and how he spoke in present tense. Idiot. He's gone. All you can do now is kill the monsters that killed him. He exhaled between his teeth, uninterested in her sarcastic mocking, uninterested in how long he had been bothering her. He needed to figure out if she was associated with the bastard bloodsuckers or not. However, her next comment made him bust out laughing, actually having to take a minute to calm himself before replying in an amused snort, "Your rank means nothing to me, remember? I don't care if you're the leader of these worthless fish faces, I'd still kick your ass." He lifted a brow as a smirk drew along his face. [b]"I seem to be doing a pretty good job, too. Tired yet?"

//shhh it's okay cx there's almost never a reply where either of us doesn't edit

"But I never listen to him so it doesn't matter." Who was that him? Was this guy someone chiro thought as a *head like he thought of kaori? his expression didn't look like it head changed, to the normal eyes. Kaori's eyes were quick, and she immediately got a sense this was some touchy topic. something she might bring up in the future. after all, kaori felt nothing but anger, annoyance and surprise nowadays.
chiro's sudden burst of laughter, however, almost raised her hackles in, you guessed it, surprise. Kaori didn't think her comment was that hilarious, but it did twitch her whisker in faint amusement at the way he recovered himself.
if kaori could laugh, she would've. instead, she returned a very deadly smile to his smirking face. "if i was leader, you would've been dead long ago," the stone replied in a low tone. this time, the sword that was facing her didn't matter any more. instantly, using aliah's lessons to her now dim reality, kaori made herself invisible and attempted to do a nasty kick on chiro's ass and landed heavily onto the ground. even if she failed, kaori had a silent comeback ready to catapult straight into his face. "and if you call yourself a 'good job', then you're wrong." kaori added, trying to hide the sound of her panting.[/fancypost]

"Eh? As if you'd ever get- oi, where the hell did you go?" She appeared to have completely disappeared from his line of vision which was more than enough to set the apprentice on edge as he narrowed his eyes and stared at where she had been. A breeze pushed by him and before he could register than he was booted, and landed flat on his ass with an ungrateful hiss bursting from his teeth as he immediately launched himself to his paws and narrowed his green eyes, bristling profusely as he took the sword in his teeth. He could hear her speaking and underneath of it a low painting - probably the only reason he didn't start swinging his sword around and accidentally slaughter her, that would have been less than good.

"Now you're hiding from me~" he whined, carelessly wielding the sword before shrugging and sheathing Asuramaru, much to the greedy demon's discontent. Asuramaru had really been looking forward to bloodshed, it was really no surprise when he pretty much fed off of murder or even anger in the slightest. Asuramaru instead took to relentlessly mocking Yuu for being a coward while the boy ignored him and simply started walking in the other direction, waving his tail. [b]"Whatever, I'm wasting my time anyways."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; width:400px; text-align:justify; color: solid grey; font-size:8pt; font-family: verdana; text-transform:lowercase;]
kaori pulled a satisfied face as she revealed herself only after the pain-in-the-ass sword was safe back to-to wherever it belonged to. the deadly smile was now replaced with a casual smirk. nothing too harsh, right? "If you give up that easily, you're going to die with no one's respect on the battle field," she replied, ignoring his stubborn responses. much to her embarrassment, kaori's wrapped leg hurt too much, making her collapse with a painful groan. but she didn't care. injuries healed, but not hearts. "And if you never listened to that 'him', you'll never learn what it means to have friends," she added after watching chiro turn his back. that guy had the potential to kill an army of vampires, but nothing would work if he didn't know how teamwork functioned. after all, an army was just a big ass team.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]"Who said anything about respect? I don't care what you us think of me," he growled over his shoulder, tail lashing. Nonetheless he slowed down and came to a fault, lashing his tail behind him. He didn't take too kindly to being called a coward. At her next words he visibly flinched before gritting his teeth with a quiet tch of irritation. What did she know? She didn't know anything. She was just another useless Riverclanner, no better than the rest of the lowlives around here. In fact, she was worse. She was annoying. "Shut up! I don't care about friends. The only people I want to be friends with are dead now." He growled quietly and dug his claws into the ground. [b]"That's why I'm still alive. To get revenge. Nothing else."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; width:400px; text-align:justify; color: solid grey; font-size:8pt; font-family: verdana; text-transform:lowercase;]
//when you break the fourth wall without realising
    ⚆ _ ⚆

"But what if someone wants to be friends with you?" Kaori replied stonily, thinking of the possibility. she let out an unexpected purr of amusement, doubting her words actually spoke the truth. nobody in riverclan would want to be friends with someone who doubted their skill, unless you were kaneki, because they seemed to get along with each other. The rep painfully got to her paws, her leg aching, but she managed to sit upright without toppling over. The tom seemed pissed enough already, maybe she should stop pulling his strings? Well, that didn't matter. Kaori was sure chiro would walk off with smoke coming out of his ears anyway. [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]"Well, that's their mistake." Yuu's voice was cold, suddenly. He no longer had the usual flippancy he held around others, so it was obvious that he was thinking of his family as he always did when he got serious like this. The dark-furred to, let out a low growl and sat down, still refusing to face her. He refused to be the one to storm away from this fight. He wasn't liking this prying attitude of hers, it reminded him too much of Mika, but the blond had always been extremely chipper all the time whereas Kaori was just as bad-attitude prone as Yuu was. He scoffed under his breath, returning to his usual demeanor. "What, did you wanna be my buddy, Kaori?"

“Well, that’s their mistake.” Man, he said it like friends were the worst things on earth like he was talking about something that disgusted him. Perhaps it did, perhaps it didn’t. Kaori didn’t know, chiro was sometimes hard to read. However, his sudden offer caught the rep off guard, almost making her choke. But she held her ground as she quickly recovered, a playful smirk dancing on her messed up face. “If you need someone that can actually kick ass that badly…” kaori replied slowly, her tail swaying around like a ribbon in the wind. “I might give it some thought,” she finished with a firm nod. kaori didn't know if she'd get any benefit from his cold words, but she was a risk taker. One that almost got herself killed. [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 99%; font-size: 8pt]"Ehh? That's bull! You couldn't even make me stumble without collapsing~" he whined at her claims of superiority, lashing his tail in return. He couldn't help but notice the thoughtful look in her eye and spun around to face her again with a blink. What? Was she actually considering befriending him? As if it were her choice! "Stupid Yuu, you act like you have control over her." He ignored Asuramaru and stalked up to her, raising a paw and pointing at her as if scolding her. "Don't get so thoughtful about it. I'll be the one who decides if we're friends or not. Besides, becoming friends with me is harder than flying with no wings." He gave a smug smirk, proud of that one.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; width:400px; text-align:justify; color: solid grey; font-size:8pt; font-family: verdana; text-transform:lowercase;]
Kaori yawned as he pointed at her, attempting to act like she didn't give a crap about what on earth he was saying, but his words were clearer than day in her brain. but kaori wanted to swipe off that expression on his face, wouldn't hurt him, right? "that's not fair," kaori complained in an act of a whiny type of voice, raising her head to appear taller than him. "al-" she stopped half way, feeling her stomach churn. "someone said everyone is equal, no matter what."
