  • The silver moon above shines down on an island of paradise, full of forests, streams, & sandy beaches. In a small inland a lake laps at the sand softly, washing the feet of a girl. She was tall & thin, around the age of 15 or 16, yet it was hard to tell. She had a face that seemed timeless. Her long caramel hair was braided down her back and her almond shaped eyes held wisdom. A white silk tunic made her glow in the moonlight. In her delicate hands, a gossamer plant with luminous silver flowers waves in the slight breeze. This is Calypso's Island.

(Calypso's Island is open to any demigod in need. She heal you & care for you until you are ready to travel on. Be warned: you can only find Calypso's Island once. • A boy with shaggy brown hair, simple, pain-filled brown eyes, an unshaven face and looking around the age of sixteen or seventeen, shipwrecked onto the island, if you could call it a ship. He was on a beaten up, wrecked, wretched, weak little thing, and he wasn't in much better shape. Scratches and wounds decorated his body, and the wood of the raft was stained red. His face was pale from blood loss and gaunt from lack of food, and he looked like he was about to pass out. He moaned in relief, seeing this island paradise and thinking he was dead and in Elysium. He stumbled to his feet and made his way to the cave he saw in the middle of te island, leaning against trees and stopping every two minutes or so. He collapsed in front of the cave, and managed one hoarse croak: "Help..." He fell to his knees, then slumped over, unconscious.

  • Calypso froze in the motion of drying her hands with a cloth. She had just been gardening, but she had heard the weak cry. Moving with swift grace she exited her cave, her lips forming an o of surprise when she saw the fallen hero. For a moment she hesitated, her beautiful face a mask of sadness. However, she couldn't leave an injured person. Kneeling, she supported the boy, helping his unconscious form to the bedroom that was always open. It was a simple place- smooth cave walls, a white sheeted bed, & a mirror. She layed him on this bed, gathered her medical supplies & aided him, washing & tending his wounds using her herbal mixtures, finally bandaging. She fed him a bit of ambrosia, though not too much; his injuries were not fatal. Calypso tucked him into the bed, smoothing his hair & then dimming the lights. Placing first a fresh pair of trousers & a tunic for when he awoke, she backed out of the room silently. He would sleep peacefully, for awhile.

  • The boy finally awoke. He jumped for a moment, finding himself in a bed, and was surprised to find his wounds healed and feeling...great, for having been through all that. He was confused; where could he be? Then he remembered, very faintly, having shipwrecked on this island. He find the tunic and trousers and dressed, being careful around his bandaged wounds, and left the room. "Um...hello?" he called, searching for the person who had come to his aid.

  • Calypso emerged, she herself in a fresh white tunic, her caramel hair slightly damp & newly braided. In her hands she held a glass of iced juice. "You are awake." she said softly, crossing the room. Outside moonlight streamed, through, indicating a long time had passed.

  • a girl with long blonde wavy hair washed up onto the shore with a blood stain on her back. she lay in raggity clothes on the osft shore. she grond. "ughhhh.ughhh!" she mumbledshe looked up just to see the island then layed her head back down and everthing went black.

  • OOC: Welcome to Calypso's Island, iceeyes4321. As you can see, I already have a demigod. Would you like to request a private thread? Or rp with us?

  • He accepted the cup, a bit confused. "I think I am..." he responded slowly. He looked out and saw the moon, and looked surprised. "It was noon when I was last at sea...and shipwrecked here," he added. He looked back at the mysterious girl who had helped him. "May I ask, where am I? And who are you?"

  • "I am Calypso, and this is Ogygia." she waved elegantly with one hand towards the entrance, where the lake was visible.

  • OOC: Ok.

IC: She turned away for a moment, "Yes," she said simply. Then she cocked her head, frowning. "Do…do you here something outside?"

  • He opened his mouth to say something, then decided against it. "Yes..." he said slowly. "Now that you mention it, I do. Oh, I forgot." He extended his hand a bit awkwardly. "I'm Adrian...son of Koios."

  • He nodded and followed her out, cautious and wary. "Who could it be?" he whispered, not being able to make much out in the darkness.

  • Calypso had already seen the girl, & had moved quickly to her side, kneeling down & examining her injuries. Her eyes were wide, & puzzled, she kept glancing at Adrian.

  • He approached the girl a bit cautiously; from his travels he knew danger could come in many forms. He leaned down next to Calypso, his eyes a bit clouded. He seemed to snap out of the sort of trance and, feeling her glancing at him, met her gaze with startling brown eyes, bright and tinged with a tiny bit of autumn red, looking almost like maple syrup. Then he looked back down. "Ah..." he began awkwardly, then continued. "She'll need some ambrosia, right? And, er, the wound on her back might be infected..."
