Greetings and salutations to all of you newcomers here.

A few things to know about my own style:
-My muse seems to fluctuate very very frequently, but I tend to do a bare minimum of a solid two paragraphs.
- I consider myself on the low end of advanced, but others could have a different opinion such as just advanced or even semi-advanced. My characters tent to be very quirky, and that might bother you.
- I am also very assertive if I do or do not like a roleplay or a roleplay style. I don't mean to be rude but I wouldn't enjoy a roleplay with someone below my level or a roleplay that I'm not interested in.
- I will openly tell you if I don't like the current way it is going with style or roleplay itself and this does not necessarily mean I won't do it with you, just that we will both need to make our own improvements to continue. Note that if I confront you about anything, this does not mean I believe I am above or below you, it just means that in my opinion you will need to improve your writing for both of us to enjoy the roleplay more thoroughly because really isn't that what it is all about?
- I am willing to play a male or female character, and I'm equally confident in my skills for both.
- I do tend to be rather vulgar, with frequent cursing, offensive language, the occasional boob-grab, and a hefty amount of violence and drug and alcohol abuse.
- My characters are normally between the ages of seventeen and thirty, and I don't really stray from that.

And here are my do's and don't's for all of you newcomers out there.
Do's:
- Anime or real life (faceclaims)
- Angst, lots and lots of angst
- G x B
- G x G
- High scool, magical, apocolyptic, gangs, supernatural (not the show)
- Previously built worlds (for lack of a better word/phrase, such as Fairy Tail, where you play your OC in the world and the RP takes place in the world)

Don't's:
- Furries
- Animals
- Any real person or character that wasn't created by myself

I am open to nearly everything, the reason B x B isn't categorized is because I have little to no experience in that particular kind or roleplay. I'm skeptical with mature roleplays since I have little experience in this as well, I feel I'm violating the character's privacy in a way and simply fade out when they get saucy.
Now, I do have a few plots if needed, but I may just post them later or case by case.

Thank you so much you wonderful humans. Let's all have fun with this.

• [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; bgcolor=transparent; width: 250px; font-family: arial; color: white; text-align: justify;][sub]Hey arkill, I'm interested in plotting with you. For some background, I consider myself as an advanced roleplayer- I usually do at least a couple paragraphs, but it also depends on what the other person does and what I have to work with. I'm quite active, but, school and other activities may hinder me a bit. I tend to gravitate more towards female characters, but if need be I don't see the problem in playing males as well.

The things that interest me the most would be something in the supernatural (not the show) or the fantasy genre. I'm also interested in the apocolyptic theme- so maybe we could hash out some ideas. We could even stray from these and come up with something else if you'd like, I'm open for any and all suggestions!

• [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 10pt; color: white;]
That sounds excellent. So there are a couple of choices here, such as we could do something like a "hidden world" and one of our characters happens across it, this could be a completely different physical world or a magical group, and we could go off of a book or show that has already created this sort of thing or try our hand at creating a whole new one.
Another option is Muse A wakes up with the power and doesn't know what the f.ck is going on and has no one to explain it to him/her until he/she comes across Muse B who doesn't have any sort of power himself/herself, but is well educated in it.
Or we could do Muse A being an intern at some unknown to humans business and messes up and reveals himself/herself to Muse B, a human, and Muse A has to find a way to keep it on the down low so his/her superiors don't find out and somehow ends up befriending Muse B.

UPDATE:
I mean that is just a few suggestions. We don't have to do any of that and we can just think of something else if you don't like any of those.

[/fancypost]

• [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; bgcolor=transparent; width: 250px; font-family: arial; color: white; text-align: justify;][sub] I actually really like the idea of the "hidden world". However, I don't exactly know what we should do- if we should base it off of a show or book, or maybe try and create a new one. Since I don't exactly know what you are familiar with or what you would personally prefer, what books/shows are you thinking of?

• [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 10pt; color: white;]
The first to come to mind is the Mortal Instruments or Harry Potter even but neither of these quite apply. I doubt you have heard of it, but we can tweek some of the details for the manga "Looking For Clotho", which I really recommend reading, though the translations are cringeworthy I do love the amount of angst and the idea for it.

[/fancypost]

• [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; bgcolor=transparent; width: 250px; font-family: arial; color: white; text-align: justify;][sub] I have not heard of it, but I did quickly look into it and I think that it sounds interesting. Maybe you could fill me in on what it's about? I'm actually leaving pretty shortly and won't be back until sometime tomorrow so I could probably start reading some and get the basic idea of it. If you would rather not have the time spent on that, then we can throw out some different ideas.

• Salutations darling! I would love to role-play with you. Concerning myself,
my muse can fluctuate heavily as well but my minimum is two paragraph
s. I can type anywhere from two to four large paragraphs or about six sm
aller ones. I am pretty active unless life is busying me, though I tend to d
rop into small periods of inactivity due to lack of muse. If that ever happe
ns, I don't mind to be prodded through PM about the situation.

I have a plot in mind, one of which was originally developed for a group r
ole-play but no one ever seems to take interest in my ideas - eheh. It ha
s its own world behind it, along with species that I have spent ages devel
oping. If you're interested feel free to PM me. Thank you for reading!

@ sahlt - sorry this response was a little delayed due to general procrastination. But basically the aspects of "Looking for Clotho" that we would be focusing on is that it takes place in the real world, but there is a bit of a twist. An organization was established right under the noses of the mortals, an organization which adds fifteen years to someone's life. They do this by appearing before a suicide, and asking them to sign a contract that says if they die, then the fifteen years of their life that they would not live could go to someone else who does want to live but is on the verge of death. This contract is done by a member of the organization, and all members are, in a way, mortal but created in a lab and whatnot. Yadaya, we can get into that further if you would like me to explain but it is a tad difficult to do so, if you would like to no more the best way is to read the manga.

Um, a bit about myself, I'd consider myself an advanced roleplayer who typically posts at minimum three good paragraphs (two if I'm really low on muse, but never below two). I often suffer from small bouts of inactivity due to the amounts of schoolwork and basketball I have plus fluctuating muse, but I've never been out of commission longer than a week. Bumping a thread or PMing me tend to galvanize me into writing, so I'm totally fine with reminders if I seemingly disappear. I am more comfortable in playing a female role, but can play a male if I am allowed to play both a male and female.

As for themes/genres, I've kinda been craving a Fairy Tail roleplay as of late, but if you're not up for that, I was also maybe thinking something Marvel, Lord of the Rings, (I saw these listed on your camp) or supernatural themed? I have a few plots in mind for some of these; I can shoot them at you once you choose which one you would most prefer doing, but I'm open for any ideas you have if there are any plots you'd particularly like to do!

@ Fallen - Actually now that I think about it, I have never done a LOTR roleplay. If you don't mind could we do one, maybe have a pair or group of species that wouldn't normally be together, or something along those lines.
With Fairy Tail, I've never really been able to pull off just a 1x1 roleplay for that, because the guild aspect always seems so important but maybe we could try something.

So yeah, we can totally do that!
Please don't hurt me, but I've only seen the movies and have yet to actually get around to reading the books...I know, I know, I'm a terrible human being >.<

Ah, I've done several 1x1 FT threads before, and I'm accustomed to playing multiple characters - both OCs and canons - so I just thought I'd mention it. If you'd prefer not to do this, that's fine

I'm so down. Would it be friends or romance, and what species would you like to focus on for a main character? Personally I would like to play an elf.
shh I'm in the same boat we can semi-inaccurately nerd off in a roleplay together knowing the same amount
I'm fine with multiple characters but not advanced because its too much work and I tend to procrastinate, so at most I do three for advanced but usually stick to one or two characters. I can't stand rping canons, just never have been able to do it.

• Hey arkill, I'm interested in plotting with you. i was wondering if you'd like to do a shadowhunters thread?

Would you mind if I'm the female? I can play a male for you though if we both play both genders. And sure, you can be an elf. I'll be...I'm debating between a skin-changer and a necromancer...
Oh thank goodness we're in the same boat. I have so many friends telling me to read the book and I still haven't done it yet and they get so mad at me

Yeah, I tend to stick with two as well, but, you know, play side characters when they're needed. I also tend to procrastinate on things. And I just thought I'd throw the canon thing out there since Fairy Tail canons are like the only ones I can really play. But we don't have to do a Fairy Tail thread, and we can just stick with the LOTR thread if you're more comfortable with that

@ Lou - sure that sounds excellent

@ Fallen - I'm comfortable with playing the male if you would rather to B x G, though I'm completely fine with G x G if you want to do that more.
I'm relating to like everything you say it's great.

I'm not really comfortable playing homosexual characters (not against it, just not comfortable roleplaying it).
So, any ideas for a possible plot? I think I decided I'm gonna go with a necromancer character, by the way; that seem interesting. I need to research exactly what abilities they have in the Tolkien world though.
I always love it when I find someone who I can relate to a lot

Anyways, I was thinking that perhaps our characters could meet when your character - I was thinking maybe he was on the run after having done something to anger an Elven king or something (possible drama for maybe being an Elven prince?) - meets mine - a female necromancer who has some difficulty controlling her powers, is shunned by the rest of society, and is quite literally haunted by the ghosts of her past - in some town we can decide on. Somehow, for some reason, they decide to travel together, each one keeping their own secrets from the other about themselves. And as they travel they grow closer and then there's romance and action and probably some giant evil force trying to tear Middle Earth apart. You know, for kicks. This is pretty loose and I'm completely open to any input. I'm better at coming up with ways to start a plot than coming up with an actual plotline.
