    Intro
    ƒσυя уєαяѕ αgσ, Black sails were held high over a small native village, lit only by the light of the moon, and the flames burning every living thing to the ground. This was a normal sight for the crew of the Ivory Siren. However this raid turned into a nightmare when Gillian attempted at the life of the wrong man. Little did the whole crew know, they were doomed the moment they stepped foot on the island. From the first life they took, they sealed their fate. The moment the first drop of blood was absorbed into the sands, the High Priest of the village had begun a chant in an unknown language. When the Captain of the crew came across the elderly man, he listened to the final words of what he was saying,"Anē duṣṭa mārā lōkōnā lōhī sāthē śrāpa āvaśē." Thinking the man to be insane, Gillian grabbed him by the throat and plunged his sword through his chest. However the usual satisfying squishy of muscle and blood was replaced with crackling of bones and a puff of dust. The once man had rotted quickly to a dried out carcass, as did all of his people.
    The high priest's corpse began glowing a feint green before exploding into a cloud of smoke that filled the beach entirely, flowing into the lunges of every pirate, including the ones on the ship, as well as any prisoners. They were out for weeks, and when they woke, nothing was the same. They were cursed with horrific deformities, and they could feel hunger and thirst gnawing at their stomachs. Life had just become a ghost story for them, and it didn't feel to have a happy ending.


    Plot
    Four years after the captain and crew of the Ivory Siren raided the wrong village, they are still on a quest to find a cure to their curse, while still raiding and pillaging when they can to remain happy and fed. Curse explained below.


    The Curse
    Every human being in the area when the curse was enacted was changed in ways that made them look less like humans. While there are perks to many of their different deformities, there is still the cost of looking like a monster. Many have mixed feelings about that, but a few things all have in common are that they're all immortal. They have not aged in any way for the past four years. They can't be killed. Shot in the heart, stabbed in the head, decapitated, they always go through the ugly process of regeneration and remain alive. Despite being immortal and invincible, they do feel every bit of pain, hunger, thirst, and any emotions that come with it. Finally, all mutations tend to be various levels of freaky. Need examples, I'll have three forms to give them.


    Rules Icly/Oocly
    I. All usual FF rules apply.
    II. No perfect characters, everyone will have their flaws.
    II. Keep explicit content(violence or other(*wink wink, nudge nudge*)) off of thread. This doesn't mean lower levels of these can't be a thing, there will be some action, and some romance
    IV. Semi advanced, so minimum 4 sentences average for your posts.
    V. Please no fighting Oocly. If you have a dispute, take it to pm. If you need a coach about it, then we'll make a separate private thread, settle the score there.
    VI. I'm very interested to hear what you guys have to come up with for these "powers" per say. However I must give a few rules on them. They must be physically visible. Like something that would make the normal human shout "FREAK". Don't make it over powered like Death Touch or something. Keep your power unique, try not to overlap things. Now I will make a few exceptions if it's for plot reasons, or if it's something like wings. In that case, the wings must be different at the very least(Or have two people with only one wing and they can only fly when together, idk). I should've just given this rule it's own place, but oh well.
    VII. Try to not post just oocly on the RP thread, keep chatting here on the sign-up. I don't mind so much then.
    VIII. Have fun, or the same punishment as usual. I will personally see to it that 13 boxes of kittens are mailed to your front door to smother you with cuddles until you have died from Adorablitis(A-door-a-bull-eye-tis).
    IX. Side note that I just remembered. We're gonna be pirates, so no making excessively nice people. I mean sure, they can be kind and caring to the crew, but none of this "starting a rebellion to stop us from taking lives." Yes, this rule is sort of plot related ^^

    For any Pirate know-it-alls out there, you'd realize I don't have all the roles or the correct roles, but hey, these are Pirates that don't like to follow the rules, imagine that ^^ .
    Captain: Pretty simple, runs he ship, manages the finances, makes the calls.


    Quarter Master: Barely a step under the Captain, handles whatever the Captain can't. Tends to keep the crew in line, step in when the Captain isn't able to, makes sure the Captain doesn't make any potentially harmful calls.


    Cooks: While almost pretty simple, they're not just in charge of the food and rationing, but also are "Medical Professionals". They have knowledge of making food, and making you better. Not that one is needed with the recent powers, but just in case you get like, a bullet stuck in your heart and need someone to dig it out. Usual stuff.

He does what's needed to keep his crew alive and well, and enjoys a duel with anyone at his skill level. He does make jokes, teases, and flirts, but that just means he cares. Even after curse, he remains just the same. He knows when he should be serious and when to be immature, but he just doesn't care sometimes. While level headed in most cases, he does have a habit of letting emotions cloud his judgement.

    Weapon of Choice: Rapier and Cutlass, depending on the situation.
    Curse(Physically): Gillian's entire left arm is bone. How he's able to move it and use it, he still doesn't understand, but it's just as strong if not stronger than his other arm(he was and still is ambidextrous). Where it connects to the shoulder is an odd site. Skin and muscle still attach to the upper half partially, but that's it, and he normally keeps it covered.
    Curse Positives: His arm itself doesn't feel pain, and is able to shift in a way. His bones bend, break and reshape to form various tools, sort of like vines, but more solid.
    Curse Negatives: While the arm itself feels no pain, his shoulder gets sharp pains every time he bends the bones. He can also feel nothing in the arm, not even warmth, or cold, or soft. This means he won't know if it's been cut off, or if it's in the correct shape unless he can see it. Plus it looks scary and sickening.
    What is the Curse to you?: "It's just that. A curse. I just hope one day I can feel alive again. Who knew living was so draining."
    Notable skills: Fencing, speech, and fist fighting.

    Personality: "You could say I do what I like, when I like, and if you mess with me, you can figure that you'll get a knife in yer' belly." Ivy is your typical confident female, she doesn't let anyone boss her around, she can hold her own in a fight, and she looks gorgeous doing so, she cooks up some mean food, and she is always ready to sass your ass. She likes cooking, and she doesn't mind some mindless flirting, she's been known to be flirtatious when she wants to, and if you're on her good book, she may let you get somewhat close to her ;) but if you go over what she wants you to do, she won't hesitate to hurt or kill you.
    Also when Ivy has set her mind to do something she will do it no matter how hard it is and how many times people say she can't.
    Also the crew know that if they get on her bad side, then they will be finding maggots in their meal, or maybe no meal at all, not that it will kill them.

    Fears: "Like I'd tell you." Ivy has a deep fear of being controlled by people. She also hates lizards.

    Curse(Physically): "If you can't f*cking see it then you're again blind." Ivy has 'wings' they aren't wings as such, they look like the beginning of bat's wings, but more flexible and they are just the bone part, yet it's not really bones. They are black, and look horrifying to your average person. When drawn out to their full size they are quite large and have torn flesh hanging from the 'bone' parts, but instead of being bone, it's more like hard vines. She usually keeps them down, with them reaching her knees.
    Curse Positives: "What's positive about a stupid curse?" The positives of her curse is that they can be used like vines, she can whip them like a whip and grip hold of things, if she wants to, she can secrete a sort of poison from the tips of it which will paralyse someone for a few minutes. But this is difficult for her to do.
    Curse Negatives: "Take your pick." "Well for one the 'wings' on her back are heavy, and they hurt, the flesh that meets her 'wings' are red and on bad days (you can tell when it's a bad day) it hurts like hell. Also she can't get rid of them, she's cut them off before and they grow back over night. She can't even use them to fly.
    What is the Curse to you?: "What do you think it is? It's a curse idiot."
    Notable skills: "Well cooking obviously, fighting with a knife, and how about female persuasion?" She's also good in bed XD

    Curses! (Lol ) i was going to go for quarter master but someone beat me to it. But can you reserve me a cook and a crew member ? Ill be a bit slowl on the form making department because i have no wifi and my only viable medium of communication half the time is a phone (and i really dont wanna make a form on a phone, im not ready to put myself thru that type of torture.)

    Gender: Female
    Appearance: Rather short for her age, Rhodey isn't intensely menacing, if it wasn't for the spiraled horns curling from the front of her head across her skull, and drooping down as if they were tired to the point where she can't lean her head back without stabbing her shoulders, she'd look pretty normal. She has a slightly elongated face, making her almost seem dog-like from the side but it isn't to painfully noticeable. But, that's simply if she doesn't open her mouth. Her tongue is forked like that of a snake and she has two long fangs that look painful and make it hard to eat but she has learned to eat as much as she can when she can and how. She has dark, wavy hair and a small tattoo on her cheek. She loves to be highly decorated in beads and seashells that she finds after their regular raids.

    Body Mods: Long horns that start at the edge of her hairline, curl against her skull, and then droop downwards in a straight line so that it's difficult for her to lean her head back. She also has a barely elongated face, and a forked tongue with two long fangs.

    Personality: Rhodey is a wild creature, intensely animal-like, she believes deeply in instinct. Although she generally is stubborn and unruly in her nature, she hides a kind heart that few can see. She is loud and obnoxious and terribly vulgar but this just helps her relationship with her half-brother Cadence. She has little use for 'friends' and once she has used someone to the point they can't be used anymore she discards them and moves on. Occasionally, wooing someone into doing something for her includes her being seductive, adding to her vulgar tongue. She rarely listens, as she is highly independent, but she does care for a select few.
    Best Trait: Independent
    Worst Trait: Obnoxious
    Fears: She's deeply afraid of the dark, so thank god that she got infrared vision like that of a snake when she was struck by the curse.
    What they hold most dear: Her half brother, Cadence, and her half-sister (though she doesn't know it), Ivy
    Love interest: N/A but she is bisexual ;)
    History: Her and her half-brother Cadence have been best friends since both of their parents died on a particular raid by another pirate crew. Their shared father had taught Rhodey (her being the youngest of the two) how to defend herself in a fight with a long dagger he had crafted himself, being their village's blacksmith. However, in the raid she lost the dagger and was captured to be sold off by the pirates whom had killed her parents. She met Cadence and, both knowing they shared a father, they quickly became friends. They were bought by a young, powerful man in a village to be slaves on his large plantation but soon this area was raided by the Ivory Siren and the two, now 16 and 19 respectively, begged to join them as they felt they wouldn't be as vulnerable if they joined a pirate crew. Neither has doubted this since.

    Curse(Physically): Horns, forked tongue, and poisonous fangs like that of a viper.
    Curse Positives: Able to defend self with a single bite, though her poison is not lethal enough to kill, just paralyze long enough to get away.
    Curse Negatives: It is difficult for her to move her head and it's really difficult to kiss.
    What is the Curse to you?: She is loud, unruly, so she was cursed with something of her opposite, a stealthy, quiet snake. Her fangs give her a lisp, her horns control her movements. She's restricted and held down, completely unlike how she used to be.
    Notable skills: Paralyzing venom in her fangs, good with a knife.

    Gender: Male
    Appearance: Cadence isn't that extraordinary, he's of average height, of average mind, and of average weight. Except for maybe his long, raven black hair he keeps tied back he isn't that different. Unless, of course, you don't count having two eyes without pupils and tattoos scrawled across his chest and over your arms as normal. No, he doesn't have any real large deformity other than his pupil-less eyes and otherworldly tattoos and small ridges along his spine but his powers are intense and difficult for him to control.
    Height: 5'11"
    Noticeable Scars: One across his shoulder where a sword had dug into it and a broken piece of it stayed in the wound for a whole day before he pulled it out to allow it to heal.
    Body Mods: When I say otherworldly tattoos I mean otherworldly. When he's focusing or meditating, they glow, and every once in awhile you can catch them curl and move across his pale skin.

    Personality: Cadence is almost the complete opposite of his fiery half-sister, Rhodey. Cadence prefers solitude and quiet, though he doesn't necessarily wear his heart on his sleeve. He is probably the only one with control over Rhodey, though. If he doesn't like you, you won't know it, if he does like you, you still won't know it. He bottles all of his emotions up and shares them with no one, not even Rhodey. Instead, he fixes people into a dead stare with his blank eyes specifically to creep them out. He prefers to meditate wherever and whenever he can and because of this Rhodey has spread rumors that he visits a spirit world when he's in deep meditation, someplace only he can see with his strange eyes. This rumor he has neither confirmed nor disproved.
    Best Trait: Thoughtful
    Worst Trait: Quiet to the point people forget he's there.
    Fears: Getting lost at sea.
    What they hold most dear: A small compass he recovered from the wreckage of his village that killed his parents.

    Curse(Physically): Pupil-less eyes, they are just blank blue orbs and otherworldly tattoos.

She is strong, tough, self-centered, and cares nothing for her fellow man. In her own twisted, and very roundabout way, she seems to care for the people that are close to her.     Personality: Jamie, as she is known by, is very quiet, actually to be honest she's never spoken to the crew, or to anyone actually, and everyone thinks she's mute. She probably is. Other than that though Jamie is very observant, she see's everything and hears everything, trying to keep track of things. She is also extremely tolerant to pain and anything, she never cries out verbally and although she'll flinch from pain, or even cry, she'll never stop anyone from hurting her. She knows she cannot beat anyone so she doesn't try. You could say she's pathetic, she probably is, she doesn't know what to when it comes to defending herself.

    History: Well she lived a normal life in a simple village until the pirates attacked, her family was rich, so her mother, father and her were brought on board as prisoners. When asked about who they were, her father told them, and he was killed when he spat in the captains face. Jamie just watched, her mother quickly realising how ruthless, pretended Jamie was a boy, she wasn't developed in any way, so it was very believable, calling Hayley 'Jamie' her mother knew that it would give her more chance to escape in the future. Her mother survived only a few days more than her father, before she was killed somehow. Jamie was kept in the prison, and that's when the event at the island took place. She was cursed at 10 years old, and now she's 14, still not developed that much, so she still pulls off the ploy of being a boy. Sometimes she gets beaten if she doesn't do something right.

    Curse Positives: Well others can tell the weather using her eye, and also she is unusually agile and flexible.
    Curse Negatives: Well the patches sting almost all the time (water seems to help) and some crew members try to cut out the crystal to use as money when they have none.

    Personality: Render usually acts in a vulgar, bizarre, threatening manner or so as to intimidate or disturb those around him into getting what he wants. He has a cunning, goal-oriented mind and does not seem to care what means he uses to accomplish those goals. His sense of morals is lax at best, but he is quick to find the moral flaws of others, which he keeps recorded in his "Book of Threats" or "Devil's Handbook", and uses this information to blackmail everyone from regular people to figures of authority.
