She had been born into ShadowClan, and everyone there felt like family because she was so used to them. But here... the territory was still odd and the faces were still new. So Lili sat, in the basement, having discovered some old tarps and gathering some things that could be used for makeshift paints. She had mixed berries and leaves with water to create a limited array of paints, only a few different colors, that would work well enough for her purposes.


    Having her paints and her canvases, Lili sat down and began to paint, dipping her paws into the colors and then running them over the tarps to make patterns and swirls. Her ferret climbed over her work, getting little colored pawprints all over the tarps and the surrounding floors. Lili was torn between batting it out of the way and letting it be, and eventually decided on the latter. If it wanted to paint, then let it, Liliana thought.[/fancypost][align=center]

    Dopsy, who had been lounging in the basement when the other feline came down, couldn't help themselves to pop the question, "Do you paint often?" The ghost asked softly, hoping not to disturb the young cat.

    Jinglekit had gone back to exploring the basement, but stayed away from the weapon storage this time. No one had been too happy when they found her there. "Oh, hello!" she greeted as she came upon the painting cat and looming phantom. The kitten had never tried painting herself, but didn't really think she'd have the patience for it. Too much of the task involved sitting still for long periods of time, which was a skill she didn't have.

Xeryus hadn't painted before (well, from what he could remember, anyway), so he didn't know if he was any good at painting it not. If he was good, he could probably get into a good habit. But he didn't like solidifying, even if it was only temporary. It felt weird, and it was uncomfortable. " What are you painting..? " the ghost asked curiously, floating closer to get a better look.

She had stuck to a dark color palette, with bright pops of red and blue. [b][color=powderblue]It's, uh... it's called abstract. You just put down a bunch of shapes and stuff and then you let people interpret it however they want...     At the comment about talent, she looked away, staring down at the canvas with wide eyes. She was squirming slightly, fidgeting and seeming unsure. She wasn't the most confident in her painting abilities; it had started with swirls in the snow when she lived back in ShadowClan's old island territory, and then evolved into a way to express herself and let out some pent up frustration. She hadn't been doing it long and wasn't the most experienced, and all the attention being paid to her was making her uncomfortable as it was. Nervously, she summoned a candy cane and allowed it to sit on her tongue, hoping it might provide some comfort. The sweet, sharp taste always reminded her of home.[/fancypost][align=center]
