Mysterysong had chosen her own house for this task. She had found some paint in one of the unoccupied houses, in lots of colours. The painting had started with a yin yang sign in the centre of the wall. It's basically me. On the white side, she painted the sky as it was now, light blue with a few wispy clouds. On the black side, there was a night scene with dark blue clouds, the moon beside them. As everyone here only knew one side of her, they wouldn't understand. But later, when the paint was peeling and the faces had changed, they would understand.
    They would understand me.

Evidently, Jack had appeared at some point and had been watching Mysterysong paint, brown eyes following each brushstroke with keen interest. "Do you paint a lot? You have a gift, clearly," he commented, tearing his eyes away from the painting to study the artist with a warm smile that fully reached his gaze.
