[fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-shadow:0px 0px 5px black; letter-spacing:1px][justify][sub]It's been years since Pokemon Trainers once all roamed over the world, helping scientist do research about Pokemon, discovering new Pokemon, and just having a lot of fun with it. But, this fun stopped a little bit after Team Flare was stopped in Kalos, a new evil team came out to be. The name of it? The Shadow Society. The Shadow Society was founded by a women named Constance O'Connor, otherwise known as Mrs. X, with a plan to just get rid of the fun Pokemon brought us forever, along with taking over the world.
They succeeded.
They took over the world and reshaped it to their own likings. Cities stand on stilt over the forests, their roads and buildings leaving the forests below in eternal shadow. Train tracks and highways stand above old travel routes and the most memorable site have been tarnished by pollution, like Lake Garyados, or ripped up for mining, as Mt Moon has been, to find the lustrous silver ore that they insists on building their cities out of.
Pokemon trainers are almost extinct. It’s more profitable for parent to send their child to an academy and then buy a Pokemon bred to be of use in the city maintenance and jobs than to give them a companion to bond with through travel. The wild Pokemon have hidden away from humanity, and with the Pokedex completed, there’s not real use for some of them anyway.
Gym leaders don't even exist anymore, and Pokemon Centers are quite scarce. Pokeballs are rarely ever even used anymore, the factor in Kalos is going bankrupt.
Most Pokemon you see nowadays are electric, water, steel, normal, psychic or poison type. Any other types of Pokemon, you need a special pass, called the Poke-Pass for, to show that you are allowed to have that Pokemon type. If you don't have a pass, but you have a Pokemon of that type and you get caught.. You will have your Pokemon taken away.
The Shadow Society punishes people who try to rebel against them, and change the world back to normal. People are terrified of them, because of what they can do. They are ruthless, and certainly not afraid to kill a person, or a Pokemon, which is how they get their way to the top.
Though there is small hope in a few trainers that still roam around from city to city, looking with dismay at how the world that they were hoping to grow up and be able to explore turned out like, and how their dreams of becoming the next champion were ruined, oh so quickly by the Shadow Society. Maybe they can put an end to this.

The world that we used to know is gone, and the world as we know it needs to change.

- you don't have to be like super advanced and write like twenty million paragraphs or anything, but i do ask that you do have basic roleplaying skills, as in using the correct grammar, quotation marks if needed, the correct capitialization and what not.

- no legendary pokemon are allowed to be on your team. if a lot of people want legendary pokemon they maybe i'll find a way to incorperate them into the roleplay but for now they're not allowed.

- you gotta make a boy and a girl character. it keeps the gender ratio even and its just easier to make everyone make two characters rather than hope to Acreus that someone is gonna make a boy when you have fifteen girls and two boys.

- ask me before you go out with anything huge, like having the shadow society find everyone and such. while i probably will say yes, i do plan on making sure there is infinite amounts of drama involving our newly created bad guy team for everyone to go and roll with.

- you ARE allowed to have pokemon of a different kind other than the ones that are allowed without the pokepass in the roleplay. in fact it's encouraged, and its up to you whether or not they have the pokepass with them or not or if they're hiding the pokemon from the shadow society and refuse to give it to the man.

- try to make your characters be around the ages of 15-19. i honestly can't see anyone younger than 15 going and stopping them or getting into any of this trouble that the characters will be getting into, and most people over 19 would probably of given up on the world being different or maybe think that the new way the shadow society has provided them is just the way to go now.

- you have to ask me for permission before you decided to get a shiny pokemon. shinies are rare so i wont let everyone have one, and honestly i feel like shinies can take away from the roleplay in general at times?? like i love them but they sometimes steal the spotlight. just ask me though in your form or something if you can have a shiny and i might just approve. c:

- romance is allowed and is even encouraged. romance makes the world go 'round and i mean i feel like it can spice up the rp some. just remember though, there is a plot and if you simply stick off from the plot and only care about the romance then you will get a warning.

- don't ignore anyone in the roleplay. it's just rude and i want everyone to have a good time. also i changed my mind. instead of putting pikachu go in the other section of the forum, put be free butterfree in it.

- have fun!

Personality;; Xander is outgoing, funny, and always trying to cheer people up. He's a bit ignorant at times and hates being wrong but for the most part he's really lively and just wants to make everything fun. He will get very irritated if the Shadow Society is brought up into the conversation and get tense, even going as far as blowing up if people try to justify their actions but other than that he's just a chill person.

Brief History;; Xander has always been ashamed of his past. He was born the son of the leader of the Shadow Society as well as of a very respectable ex. champion in the Sinnoh Region. He was taught to love pokemon by his father, while his mother told him that his father was just feeding his head with lies. His parents eventually split and his mother got married to someone else while he stayed with his dad, who was heartbroken over the loss of the women he loved, despite them having very different opinions. When everything started to go down with the Shadow Society Xander was disgusted to of been the son of her, and was even more disgusted when she asked him to join the Shadow Society and help her create something new, something he declined. He now goes around the cities and tears down Shadow Society posters and such, looking around at the terrible place his mother had created.

Around people Raven doesn't necessarily know, she's extremely quiet and seems somewhat shy to an extent because of this. As she warms up to people though she becomes more talkative, being brutally honest towards people as well as unapologetic. If you manage to get her to consider you a friend she'll be extremely loyal and caring to you, going as far as battling against the Shadow Society for your safety at times.

Brief History;;
Raven's life used to be wonderful. She lived in a small apartment in Goldenrod City with her older brother, Xavier, and their parents. Everything had been fine until the Shadow Society took over. Her life started to crumble when her mother had gotten sick. They had tried to go to the Shadow Society in hopes of getting medical help but instead the Shadow Society simply told them that they wouldn't give her medical help since her mother was now a helpless citizen and that they'd have better luck using their medical supplies on someone who deserves it. Shortly after this encounter, her mother passed away. The next thing that was ripped from her life was her brother and her father, who got forced to serve the new masterminds of the world, leaving her alone in a crumbling old apartment building that was slowly falling into ruins. Now she simply hides along the streets of all of the regions, going where she pleases and causing as much mischief as possible when there.

Taylor is cunning and brave, ready to defend her friends and family until her dying breath. She uses her mind in battle since she lacks strength that most people have. Taylor is quick-minded as well as quick on her feet, making her a speedy opponent. Taylor isn't afraid of a challenge and demonstrates leadership skills, but not as good as a true leader. Taylor is also quite proud though and stubborn. Her mind does not change easily and even the entire world combined could not change her decision. Taylor doesn't want to change it because she wants to make sure her word is upheld no matter what the consequences are. On the outside, Taylor is usually cruel, cold and indifferent. She doesn’t care about other peoples problems and offers no sympathy, friends and family included. Taylor’s never liked mixing around with feelings and may never do so, but one day it may happen. She’s also blunt and can never keep a secret, nor does she usually want to. Taylor can also be rude towards others, whether their older than her or old a higher position, she doesn’t care. Taylor wants to prove she’s better than everyone and that’s what she’ll do.

Brief History;;
Taylor grew up with a love for Psychic Types and Dark Type Pokémon, despite the fact that one of them was illegal to own unless one had a Poké-Pass. Taylor worked extremely hard during her childhood, despite having grown up in an orphanage. She did manage to receive a Dark Type Poké-Pass, but during her journey towards this, she had secretly been caring for an injured Mienfoo, whom was now illegally in her possession. She currently travels around, searching for a way to end this.

Lysandre is confident and rather flirty with the ladies. He's a relaxed, chill kind of guy who loves a good joke. He doesn't mind acting like a clown and willingly does so in order to cheer others up. With females, however, Lysandre throws compliments and jokes around with relative ease, though some can get him tongue-tied. However, he can be a bit reckless and perform stupid tricks that aren't so impressive. Lysandre can also be a little bossy at times, especially when its required to get work done. He isn't the best leader, but he certainly tries.

Brief History;;
Lysandre has always been on the run from the law. He's been a thief, simply because his parents abandoned him in the streets when he had been five. Lysandre never knew why. Instead, he filed his subtle hatred into fighting to survive. He's done quite well, and managed to befriend a Shinx. He also felt rebellious and collected three other Pokémon from types that weren't allowed without a pass. Lysandre has always lived a dangerous life, and will continue to do so for a long time.

Personality;; She loves spending time around people having fun. She isn't always the most talkative though but still gets just as much, if not more, joy out of listening to other people talking as she does when she talks about herself. She's the kind of person you could always go to for advise about many things and she can occasionally say really deep, meaningful, and philosophical things. She Is usually well composed but sometimes lets her more childish side come out. While most of the time she is openly happy and playful she can be quick to anger or will say things that come off as mean. She very open about her opinions and feelings and doesn't often hesitate to talk them out if she feels she needs to. Sometimes she's not as good with her words when trying to express some emotions or thoughts, especially those involving romantic or sexual feeling toward someone. She is extremely physically affectionate and enjoys often receiving hugs from people she is friends with. Also, she is always open to learning new things and trying to better herself. She's prone to acting out of self preservation.

Brief History;; She lived a rather basic life. It wasn't till more recently when she started to actually rebel. For as long as she think on her own and posses opinions based on those thoughts she hated the rules regarding pokemon. She had always been a good student in school and is quite intelligent. She often studies physiology in her free time because it interests her. She also goes out of the city a lot to find inspiration for art and to find pokemon. She only bought one pokemon, being the first pokemon she ever got, and the rest she found. She's always been very careful about keeping her illegal pokemon hidden and even got a few pokeballs to ensure her their safety. She was also quick to leave home and start on her own journey. She only got a Poke-Pass recently for the pokemon she got most recently and was almost taken away from her shortly after getting in. Also Jacob got the pass for her.

Personality;; Eloquent and superior, Remus believes that he should be the one in control. With a manipulative and almost romantic front, deep down he holds contempt and spite towards all. He's the type of person to flirt with enemies and get their guard down, then go in for the kill at their weakest moment. He's skilled at making pretend, such as joining a group of people masquerading as an ally, a friend, and then grinding them beneath his heel later on. He's a tad bit sadistic.

The abuse he suffered throughout his life, as well as the traumatic event that cost him his arm and his lover, has caused him to develop a sort of PTSD. He keeps the hat of the deceased Maxwell Ulrich around, often being found clutching it in times of emotional weakness as a comfort item. Sounds and visuals that bring explosions to mind cause him to break down.

Brief History;; Born under the name Adair Delrick, for all of his life he was tormented by an older brother, Kaizer Ignatios. Around the age of sixteen, he had enough. An accident caused a large area of his body, mostly focused on his right arm, to suffer severe burning, and he had to have it amputated and replaced with a prosthetic. He changed his name after going through a severe crisis of identity, and made sure nobody would remember Kaizer after what he did to him.

2. Ivan | Tyranitar | Male | Earthquake ; Ice Punch ; Crunch ; Superpower | Tyranitarite | Ivan is fiercely protective of his trainer, often standing in front of him when active. He is a tad bit jealous of Caliburn, due to the Aegislash having more of Remus's affection despite the Tyranitar being his starter. Despite this, Remus's bond with both Pokemon are almost equal in terms of closeness.
3. Hades | Houndoom | Male | Heat Wave ; Dark Pulse ; Shadow Ball ; Nasty Plot | Hades is more distant than his other Pokemon are, often refusing to have anything to do with Remus unless in battle.
4. Dell | Scolipede | Male | Megahorn ; Poison Jab ; Rock Slide ; Aqua Tail | Dell is a... very interesting Scolipede. Despite being a giant, poisonous bug, he's as affectionate and lovable as a dog. When in battle, though, he's savage.

Biggest Secret;; There's a handful. Deep down, he's still like he once was: A scared, lovable boy with an inferiority complex and heaps of anxiety. It's very difficult to get him to open up. He also believes fear is a weak emotion, preferring to not let people know of his fear of loud, explosion-like noises, like thunder or gunshots.

He stands at 6'0 and weighs no more than 128 pounds. while he looks almost malnourished, Atticus is surprisingly capable of various physical activities. his skin is pale and heavily freckled, a barcode tattoo sporting itself on the nape of his neck. 1. If you need a poster boy for some sort of cool, relaxed fashion shoot, I'd suggest calling up Atticus.
