  • (True. She may do that X) )

Liz rubbed the back of her neck slightly as she began to think of her strategy. However, one thing was clear to her. She wouldn't be shooting Coraline just to get past this. That wasn't an option in her book.

  • Coraline fiddle with the gun in her hands as the pair was finished only managing to shoot down 6 of the 12 drones present. This led to KYne giving them a couple words of praise. "Liz, you girls are up" Kyne ordered as he pressed a button and another set of drones came out and remained flying until the girls stepped forward.

Coraline felt her heart jolt in her chest feeling panicked. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she tightened the hold on her gun.

  • Liz gave a small nod as she heard they were up and looked towards Coraline. "Ready?" she asked as she gripped her gun and little tighter.

  • "No."Coraline squeaked, as her legs moved her forwards anyways. She was not ready at all, but the thought of becoming factionless scared her more than Kyne yelling at her. The short haired girl took in a shaky breath as she walked forced and into the middle of the hovering drones.

  • Liz followed out behind Coraline and drew her own breath. Here we go... She looked at the drones as they entered into the middle, knowing that this was their one chance.

  • "On the count of three. Three!" He started up the drones and they began zooming around becoming a hard target to shoot at. Coraline squeaked at the lack of warning and fumbled with her gun as she shakily pointed it towards the drones. With a long breath in and out, she felt herself relax and was quick to focus and shoot down a drone while moving on to the next target.

  • Liz lifted hergun, frowning at his lack of warning. Of course he would do that... Getting her mind back on the drones, she moved her grip on the gun and dropped her shoulder, just like Coraline had told her. Her first shot rang.

  • The shot rung in her ears, but Coraline knew that she wasn't one to end up at the bottom. She kept shooting to which captured Kynes attention. She's definitely good at handling a gun, this resulted in a smug grin at his lips as the test continued

  • Liz began to block out everything around her as her finger pulled the trigger as she focused on the drones. She couldn't fail at this or her score would drop. She couldn't get kicked out of Dauntless.

  • They were able to successfully take down the drones, but Coraline kept noticing that two drones would hide themselves behind the both of them. She would try to go around Liz in order to shoot at it, but it kept going at an odd angle behind Liz. Coraline huffed in annoyance as she stood still. "Liz..." She called out to her friend, as she aimed the gun directly at her. If she were to time it correctly the plan should work in her shooting down the drone. As a bonus Liz would be able to do the same thing on her side. "On my mark.... You duck and shoot"

  • Liz was growing really annoyed with some of the tricks the drones were pulling. Especially the one that kept hiding behind Coraline. However, hearing Coraline's words, a small smile formed on her lips. At first she had been slightly worried Coraline would shoot her to get to the drone, but now Liz understood her plan. "Alright," she said, preparing to drop low.

  • "Duck." Coraline gave the signal and lowered her body to a crouched position. Quickly moving her gun at an angle, the short haired girl shot at the drone. The bullet leaving the gun offered a satisfying sound to her ears as she watched the drone go to the ground. 'I'm not going factionless' She thought to herself with a sigh letting the gun hang at her side by the strap.

  • Liz let her body drop to the ground on Coraline have the sigbal, hearing the girl's gun fire. She smiled as she heard the bullet meet the metal of the drone, and aimed for the one that had been behind Coraline in return. Hardly waiting, Liz fired as Coraline remained crouched, grinning when their plan became a success.

  • Coraline releases a shaky laugh as she smiles at Liz. Kyne rather impressed with their performance, remains silent and commands the next group to go. "We did it!" She squeals happily mostly to herself, but still stuck around Liz. "I didn't think that the plan would work, but I'm very grateful to have you as a partner" Coraline says to Liz reverting back to her shy self.

  • Liz couldn't hold back a smile as she saw they had succeeded. As they moved away and the next group came, she smiled over at Coraline, nodding to her. "I'm happy you are my partner too," Liz said as she ran a hand through her hair. "You are very quick to think in the middle of situations. I wouldn't have thought of doing that little trick of yours."

  • I'm so sorry!!~ I'M A WORM~ tenor.gif?itemid=5074223

She beamed at the compliment. With those few words she felt herself grow in confidence and believe more in her ability in thinking quickly. 'Maybe I do have a chance at making it!' Coraline was thrilled and was also grateful for being able to read a couple books about guns. 'Reading really does pay off.' They walked towards the sidelines and waited for the others to practice their shooting. Many were improving their skills, while for others they had to struggle to knock down a few drones. Kyne watched all and some of the instructors watched from a far. Every instructor that wasn't part of Dauntless stood at the sidelines hidden. They evaluated each personnel and typed on their screens. "These should help in our plan." Ikkil spoke to the others in another room as he watched from the monitors. They typed up names which resulted in their personal profile popping up along with everything about them. Even the test.

  • (Its okay :) )

Liz grinned as Coraline believed she had a chance to make it. Liz was trying to believe the same about herself, and having Coraline nearby with her confidence helped. However, even their victory didn't help the feeling of dread at having to meet with Kyne afterwards. Not knowing what he wanted was what scared her the most. And yet, you just had to open your mouth, she scolded herself silently.

  • Kyne made the group do more rounds and practices. The group was improving, but it obvious that they were growing tired. Judging by the sun being at it's highest, he barked out orders for them to head back for lunch. Even he isn't that cold hearted to let them starve. Coraline sighed in relief slumping slightly forward," I thought he'd never give us a break." She muttered towards Liz as she dragged her feet back to Dauntless. "My feet ache from standing so much and my arms won't be able to hold up a gun." Coraline kept her complaining between her and Liz since she didn't want to risk getting yelled at by Kyne.

  • Liz felt drained by the time Kyne let them leave, and she could feel her stomach growling for food. She looked over Coraline and nodded, grinning softly. "We'll definitely be feeling this tomorrow morning," she murmured, stretching out her arms slightly. "I don't know how some of these people stand to do this all the time."
