    Kai pulled up in the driveway, smiling toward the young boy in the passenger seat. "I'm going to drop you off, but let her know she can call me when she needs me again." He clicked his seatbelt and allowed it reel in towards its original spot, swinging the car door open as he climbed out. "I'll walk you to the door," He said over his shoulder, closing the door. The child had copied the babysitter quietly, smiling as he walked around the car and then next to the babysitter as they approached the porch. Kai knocked lightly against the door, looking down toward Lucilion, who was sitting on the stairs that lifted the porch from the ground. He bit his bottom lip as he waited, tapping again just in case she had missed the first couple of knocks.


    Lucilion had rested his head onto his palm and was now staring across the street, which was where the babysitter had lived. However, they had been running around all day and he had been a little tired of Kai's presence, seeing as he was around him a lot. He knew that he'd get over it and that the two of them would probably be friends when Lucilion got a little older, but still... For now, he was disinterested in spending time with the older male. He looked forward to spending time with his mom, who had requested that he come over.

    "one, two, three, four! one, two, three, four!" came the voice over the speakers of sayaka's tv, instructing her moves as she glided across her living room floor. she was completely exhausted, but she didn't want to mess up at ballet recital tomorrow. that was the main reason that she had been sending her son to kai lately. the first time that her babysitter knocked, she was oblivious, but the second one reached her ears.


    quickly turning off the ballet aide, she switched the cd to panic! at the disco's new album. grabbing a towel to wipe her face and neck off with, she stalked to the front doors of her home. swinging it open, the seventeen year old (for she had adopted lucilion) automatically ushered them in and nodded her thanks to kai, handing him a large roll of bills. 'for the last two weeks,' she mouthed.

    A grin appeared on Kai's soft features as Sayaka had answered the door, "Hey, how are you?" He asked, his blue eyes peering toward her. Lucilion had stood up and walked toward the door, standing beside Kai and his mother. Once the money had been handed to Kai, he smiled and nodded toward her. "Oh, thank you." He winked and reached into his pocket to retrieve his wallet, where he carefully placed the money in a safe pouch. He then slipped the wallet into his back pocket, where his cell-phone also was. "If you need anything, just call me." He said for the child, who moved past the babysitter. He naturally assumed that the child would forget to remind her, but honestly didn't mind having to tell her himself.


    Lucilion wrapped his arms around Sayaka and grinned, looking up toward her as he stood in front of her. "Hey, mom!" He laughed a little, barely able to contain his excitement. He looked back toward Kai, who still stood there awkwardly. "Bye babysitter!" He said, laughing a little bit more. The babysitter shyly laughed a little, dipping his head a little. "Well, I guess I'll be on my way..." He slowly backed away from the house, but was still facing as if waiting for a reply from Sayaka nervously.

    sayaka found her fingers lingering on kai's shoulder, the ghost of a smile on her face. ever since vanny died, she had been so lonely. . .no! sayaka had aly! quickly withdrawing her hand, she waved at him and slowly shut the door. she then looked down at her child and allowed herself to speak. "hi, sweetheart! how's my baby? tell me, what do you want for dinner? do you want to help me make something or we can go out to eat somewhere?" she said in hoarse tones as her sore body bent to pick up her son and hold him on her hip like moms often do.

    Kai blushed a little as her fingers lingered awkwardly on his shoulder, the young man's blue eyes meeting hers for a moment as his lips parted, as if to say something. He waved a little before he finally turned to leave, his expression falling back to it's neutral place. Lucilion smiled widely up at his mother, "Hi mommy! I'm good and is it okay to eat at home?" He asked, his amber eyes glowing as he waited dearly for her response. He wanted to help and didn't mind what they ate, just as long as they didn't leave the house. He wrapped his arm around her neck like most kids do, held on their mother's side, his thumb instantly going to his mouth like an old habit.

    sayaka made her way to the kitchen, gently setting lucilion down and digging through the pantry. did her child like the life of luxury he lived? she indeed had quite a bit of money, and it showed. "what about psaghetti?" she said, purposely pronouncing it wrong. "here, come look." she murmured while she grabbed her phone and texted kai. 'we'll talk later when i put luce to sleep. no excuses.' she sent before putting her phone back down on the counter.

    Lucilion grinned, happy to hear that they were going to eat 'psaghetti,' or that was how most younger children pernounced it. He didn't even realize that his mother was teasing him and genuinely believed that was how it was spoken, nodding after she had asked. His amber eyes shifted onto the phone, which she had picked up. "Look where?" He asked, slightly confused. Meanwhile, Kai recieved the text and nodded in real life even though she couldn't see it. He sent back a message consisting of; Alrighty... He had wondered what the text would be about, but decided it wasn't all that serious since, well... She would have called. Lucilion watched as she put the phone down and realized that his attention was not suppose to be brought the phone itself, a small giggle releasing from his mouth. "Who were you talking to?" He asked, having some knowledge that phones were used to communicate.

    her face grew serious as she heard lucilion's last question. "the tickle monster. he says that if you don't eat all your food, he gives me permission to tickle you." she said in mock severity before lunging forward, aiming to grab him and begin tickling him. sayaka pretended to laugh evilly and her blue optics crinkled in joy. it had been a long while since she had laughed.

    Lucilion squealed and began to run away from her, but she was much faster than him due to the fact that she was much older. He was picked up and tickled, instantly laughing as the feeling of happiness overwhelmed him. He tossed his head back and began to roll backwards, attempting to escape her grip but realized that he couldn't as he leaned back upward and wrapped his arms around her neck. "Mommy! Stop it! The tickle monster said only two tickles." He lied, a small smile on his face. It was an innocent lie.
