[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:125%; width:350px; margin-top: -5px;]It was a sunny day.
Eden, of course, was inside.
Though she was not antisocial, pressures of school and expectations were catching up with her, so on her free days she preferred to loll around her house, bracing it's emptiness since her guardian had to work all days of the week at an accounting firm. It was a sunday, so she was finishing up an essay she had to turn in tomorrow. Bundled in sheets on her bed, her fingers tapped anxiously at the keyboard, venturing towards the backspace button more often than the alphabet.
Beside her, her phone lay, untouched. It buzzed every so often from notifications, likely from social media, but she did not check it, finding the prospect of seeing how her friends were doing unneeded. They probably were out at the beach or somewhere hip, like a pizza parlor. And she was writing an essay for history class.
Scanning over the last paragraph she wrote, she rose a hand away from the computer so she could awkwardly tweak at her round-shaped glasses, whom had a habit of pinching the skin behind her ears.
A sigh pushed from her mouth, and she finally looked away, resting her chin on the cushy material of the mattress under her. It creaked with the movement, it's springs letting a feeble squeak of protest. Her glasses pushed against the bridge of her nose, pinching the area behind her ears again.
With another long sigh, she tugged off her glasses, folding them up and depositing them in front of her computer.
Untangling her limbs from her sheets, she flopped out of bed, raising her arms above her head and she strolled towards the kitchen. It was always good to take a break.
