"i... Oh my gosh!" Farrah said, racing foreward to what she saw. It was an infant, the baby weak and looking near death. Its mother had likely been killed, blood staining the cloth over the child and the child's face. She lifted the baby, staring at it, "Oh..."
-
He followed her, staring down at the child with uncertainty. He never seen an baby before. He glanced around, frowning
-
A faint whimper left the baby's mouth, Farrah looking ready to cry, "It needs food..." She whimpered, holding it close before staring at Amenadiel helplessly, "Can you do anything to heal it? Please?"
-
The angel stared at it again, taking a step back," ... I-I don't think so.
-
Farrah stared at it, tears beginning to streak down her face. She didn't say anything, helpless to save the baby. She just held it until it gave its last breath, the female closing her eyes and bringing it near so it could be warm for a bit, "This needs to stop." she whispered pitifully, "It has to stop..."
-
He watched her, then looked at the baby
-
Farrah slowly stood, holding the lost soul and then buried the infant, staring at the tiny grave, "It isn't fair." She whispered, "None of this is fair."
-
" life isn't fair, " He mumbled softly
-
"The child wouldn't know that. Its mother wouldn't now that. The baby was alive for how long, agony racing through it? Life isn't fair; the least that could happen is a quick death for such a tiny soul. Not something so long and painful." Farrah said softly, "I shouldhave done something to help it..."
-
" There was nothing you could have done, Farrah," He mumbled softly
-
"There should have been." Farrah said softly, starng up at the male with pained eyes, "There should have been...." She trailed off, holding onto herself before turning away from the tiny grave and then beginning to walk, conitnuin g in the previous direction.
-
He simply followed her
-
Farrah was silent for a long time, shifting, "It looks like you never saw a baby before." She said softly.
-
" ... I haven't, " He mumbled
-
"How old was I when you became my guardian?" Farrah asked softly.
-
" When you were born. But I never saw you." He said softly
-
"Really?" Farrah asked softly, glancing at him, "Is this the first time you've protected me in any way?'
-
He nodded
-
Farrah shifted, "YOu're doing a good job."
