    CLUB DE CUISINE
    cooking club

Yes welcome to The Cooking Club where we discuss all things food! Here we share passion for food and the creation of food and cuisine, along with exchanging recipes, tips, stories, and even failures. You don't have to know how to cook to join the Cooking Club, everybody is welcome! If you also want to learn about cooking and food, here's the place to be. This club will stay on this one thread for now, but if things get flooded, I will make another thread dedicated to recipes and and the like and keep this thread for chatting and tip sharing.

it's 11 pm and i'm making myself salmon fried in butter, garlic, and honey. I make this kind of salmon all the time, it's so nice

i usually have it over noodles

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:125%; width:380px; margin-top: -5px;]oo, sounds yummy!

since i havent had dinner yet, i'll supply a little info about lunch: i had egg & rice, which is my fav quick snack.
    [spoiler]
any pan size is ok depending on how much you cook, usually try to get your temperature at medium at first to cook the egg, then lower it to medium so you dont burn the rice later on. (if you use an electric stove, it probably won't change tempatures as easily as a gas stove, so i'd just keep it between medium/low for the entire time)

i make it by cracking one egg, breaking the yolk with the spatula so it spreads evenly with the white, then waiting until it's at least mostly cooked. then i add in however much rice i want, make sure it's broken down evenly around the pan (i do this just to make sure the powder doesnt get onto the pan and sticks to the pan), then i take some garlic powder and give a few good shakes just to lightly coat the top of the rice and egg with it. i then stab at the egg a little into pieces & mix it up with the powder and rice. when you're satisfied with how mixed it is, turn off the stove, scrape it into a bowl, and sprinkle on some soy sauce, mixing it up again.

so yeah, very simple, but yummy! italicized stuff are things that you dont need to do, but i just think it helps to do them.

also adding in that its fun to toss in a few veggies too if you like em! just dice up some well-washed veggies like mushrooms, asparagus, etc. and pop them in while your egg is cooking.

and if you dont like garlic, i assure you that i dont either, but the powder doesnt really taste like it very much if you put the right amount. it'll add some good kick, so i really suggest adding it in.

  • You can put me down as a Commis.

My lunch was waffles, and my mom made a taco braid. Basically pizza dough and taco meat.

mm that rice sounds so nice, only problem is i don't like eggs. i WANT to like eggs, but i just dont?? unless they're scrambled the way i like them

i've never heard of taco braid that sounds like heaven.
