Personality: From the view point of an outsider, Ignatius can come off as calm, reserved, or even shy most of the time. This is because of his natural tendency to keep a small circle of close friends and leave everyone else as a mere acquaintance. However, one should never judge a book by its cover. From the view point of a close friend or family member, Ignatius is noted as a reliable, passionate, and open-minded individual who one can rely on during tough times.

Ignatius tends to speak in a poetic language, often in metaphors, which sometimes can become somewhat of a nuisance to others who don't like to spend the time having intellectual or more, can I say, "creative," conversations. When around close family members and friends, he's known to lighten up and speak like everyone else.

One noticeable trait that can easily be spotted in Ignatius is his withdrawal from the world, most of the time spent in deep thought about the future or important business that needs attention. The tabby always plans ahead for the future, and he's positive of what he wants to gain in life and what he wants the future to bring for him.

Speaking from the perspective of romantic relationships, Ignatius is a romantic idealist who spends much of his time envisioning the perfect relationship with the perfect she-cat. Because Ignatius can see the good in most everyone, he quite often will change his mind about the definition of "perfect" based on the she-cat he currently has feelings for. While he hasn't had many relationships in the past, his constant daydreaming about the perfect relationship has shaped him into an already faithful, loyal tom who's prepared to put hard work and effort into creating the relationship he's created in his head.

There is a downside to being in a relationship with Ignatius is his propensity to wish unrealistic traits on a lover, which can lead to a harsh reality check when he realizes the she-cat he's in love with doesn't match up with the traits he's bestowed upon her. While he's not the argumentative type, he can become easily emotional and stressful situations, quickly becoming defensive against anything his lover may say against him or his beliefs. He spends a lot of time trying to combat the issue by learning to take constructive criticism without offense, but until he solves that problem, watch out ladies.

While he may be a bit more reserved than your average tom, Ignatius can make an excellent, trustworthy friend. Getting to know him can be quite the difficulty, though. Ignatius chooses to keep his emotions and thoughts to himself most of the time, believing others will see his daydreaming self as immature, childish, and silly.

Once in a blue moon, Ignatius adds another feline to the list of those he trusts enough to open up to, but the majority of the population have to deal with his guarded personality. While being his friend might be frustrating at times, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Ignatius can be extremely sensitive to other people's feelings, making him a supportive friend that one can trust to keep their feelings and secret to himself. Ignatius becomes a closer friend to those who share the same principles and values, though he will respect others who respect his beliefs.

One thing he cannot stand is when another feline refuses to leave him alone during his "hermit" phase, where he chooses to go off into his little dream world and escape the harsh realities that life often throws at him. The most common traits found among Ignatius's friends are kindess, patience, and most importantly, respectfulness.
