It was a good thing that tonight was a full moon and he had to report back on every full moon. He knew Cinder was going to be pleased with his news. So when the evening rolled around, he slipped out of the camp and headed in the direction of the border. Once there, he made his way over to four figures. These were his partners and superiors. There was his partner, Emerald, a mint green tabby cat with gleaming red eyes. Then there were his superiors: Roman and Cinder. Roman was a fiery orange hawk and Cinder was a beautiful (but cruel) black wolf with glowing golden eyes. Last but not least there was Neo, a chocolate brown and strawberry pink poodle. "Took you long enough, Mercury. You better have something to report this time." The she-wolf growled out softly. Mercury sighed "There was a leadership change. Gavin isn't in charge anymore. It's this bitch named Calypso. She's power hungry and should be easy to manipulate." Roman squawked in surprise "You mean that stupid brit finally gave up?" Just then a twig snapped behind them.

    Gavin hadn't been able to sleep, damn pregnancy getting the better of her. So she was just laying awake in her nest bed. She caught a glinpse of her brother moving out of camp and her curiousty was peaked. Now why would he be going out? She got out of her bed and resolved to follow him. She followed him all the way to the border, eyes narrowed suspiciously at the four figures. She caught wind of what mercury said, stepping back and breaking a twig. Her eyes widened as Mercury and the other looked back, so she did the only thing she could, she used her elemental powers to make an intense fog screen, covering her, keeping her out of their view.

Mercury padded over to where the noise had came from before getting consumed by the fog and turning around. "It was probably just some loner in the woods. Nothing to worry about. Cinder.... You're absolutely sure that she can only be released here? There's no other way?" The gray cat questioned before laying down next to Emerald. "Yes. We can only release Salem using this specific volcano. You know that Mercury. Why else would the shadows have come out of the volcano. She was sending us a sign. A sign that she's growing stronger. Just have a little faith." The obsidian wolf murmured softly. "Cinder? Does this mean it's time for me to join Mercury in the tribe?" Emerald mewed out, speaking for the first time. "Soon my little illusionist. Very soon. But not until their religious ceremony. That's when you'll join him."

    Gavin's heart beat faster. Salem was the cause of te inky smoke creatures. She could not be allowed out... Even if it meant harming her own brother. Maybe she could do something about the other's right now, his eyes glowed a soft green as a fire sprung up right in front of the wolf, ready to consume and kill.
