Skylar was surprised to see she had gotten a text back. She walked over and laid in bed reading the text. She smiled softly before replying quickly. long day, very paranoid but I'm ok. How are you? she sent it and crawled under the covers as she awaited a reply.

Skylar read the text and laughed loudly at him. She shook her head as she replied. most certainly is, and your usual self? So a robot? ;) she sent smiling.

Skylar smiled at his response happy he didn't get offended. so do you have a job other than being in the gang? she asked a question. She wanted to get to know Ace some, he caught her eye for some reason.

Skylar nodded as she read the text even though he couldn't see her. ah ok that makes sense. Did you ever want to do anything other than the gang? she sent.

Ace replied back 'I wanted to be a cop but now that's kind of a lost cause...'

Skylar looked at the text and frowned confused. why is it a lost cause? Have you gotten in trouble with the police? she set her phone aside and looked at the ceiling.

Skylar smiled softly at him. of course. Well it is getting late, goodnight Ace. she sent and set her phone on the side table. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Ace nodded even though he knew she wasnt there 'Goodnight.' He sent back. He put his phone down ln the side table and yawned.

Skylar woke up the next morning and walked to work after getting ready. She sighed as the day went slow, there were meetings and assignments handed out to everyone. She was a much higher employee than everyone else so she got much tougher and intense jobs.

Ace's day was boring which was quite unusual for him. He picked up his phone and texted Skylar 'Hey.' He didnt expect an immediate reply because Skylar worked but he wanted something to do.

Skylar glanced at her phone when it went off. She finished up the sentence she was typing up before tabbing her phone. She couldn't help but smile when she saw it was Ace. She liked Ace, he was nice and something about him caught her eye but she couldn't figure out what it was exactly yet. She opened it seeing it was just a hey. She sent one back before getting back to her work.

'When are you off for lunch? I was wondering if you wanted to go get lunch.' He replied back.

Skylar glanced at her phone seeing the text. She stared at her phone with wide eyes before picking it up quickly. She didn't expect him to ask her out to lunch, out to anything really. She didn't even think he would text her again except for every now and then to check up on her. She stared at it for a moment before replying. i get off at 1:30, lunch would be great. she sent. She couldn't help but smile big at it. Her friend from work Charlotte walked by seeing her smile. She smirked and walked in. "Who is the guy?" She asked knowingly. Sky looked up at her with a blush and smiled. "He is just a friend, he asked me out to lunch that's all and I wasn't expecting it." She spoke honestly. Charlotte smirked and nodded her head "sure. Friends." She spoke and laughed making her way out. Sky smiled and rolled her eyes at her before getting back to work.
