    Luckyherb saw the injured kit and examined her. "So that's the blood I was smelling," The medicine cat whispered under his breath. "No, I think we're fine here." He replied to both Iceleaf and Birdwing, then bent down to the kit, talking in a soothing voice; that was rare for Luckyherb, considering he was so strict all the time. "Now, what pain do you feel, little one?"[/fancypost]

    Kori struggled to open her eyes as she heard the voice of luckyherb. Her eyes fluttered open slowly and she blinked. Her eyes meeting the medicine cat and her ears flicked as she gently turned her head to reveal the wounds. The cobwebs were easy to spot, and on one shoulder she had a poultice of dock. Her eyes slit shut again as she lay her head down, well almost dropping it.

    [justify]birdwing nodded, "if something comes up, just call out, i won't be far." she turned around and headed back towards the nursery. she realized that in her rush to help korina she had left the remains of the squirrel she was eating on the ground. birdflight quickly disposed of the carcass and entered the dark nursery, looking around for any of the other queens.[/justify]

    Luckyherb's eyes widened as he saw the young kit had already sealed most of her wounds. "I can see you already have some knowledge in medicine," Luckyherb said, impressed. Then the medicine cat shook his head and padded toward the pile of unorganized herbs. "If you want, I could teach you some more about herbs and medicine, because it looks to me you'll be staying for a while."[/fancypost]

    Korina blinked open her eyes again, humming softly "M-my mom taught me." She me we'd softly, her voice suddenly appearing, the soft light tone most likely surprising the male. Her ears flicked forward "I-I would like that." She spoke again, to his offer to teach her more. Her unique eyes sparkled softly as she watched him, though they still held a glazed look to them.

    Echopaw finished her meal. And since her mentor wasn't ready to go, she focused her attention on listening in the medicine cat den. A new kit, eh? She shrugged and padded around camp, searching for someone to speak to.

    Luckyherb turned and smiled at the frail kit. He had always liked kits, considering he never got a chance to be one, due to abandonment at the SpringClan border when he was but a young kit. The medicine cat grabbed some horsetail in his mouth and padded up to the young kit. "This is horsetail," Luckyherb began chewing up the herb to mush as he spoke, "you chew it up to a poltuce and apply it to infections. It is also used to stop bleeding." The medicine cat spread the mush around on Korina's wound.[/fancypost]

    Kori nodded her head thoughtfully, her mom hadn't used this one as much. She tilted her head "What about marigold and dock? What do you use it for?" She asked softly, her eyes blinking slowly. She liked this cat, he was kind,many not scary....she felt like she could trust him. She turned her head to lick her shoulder, revealing the scar along her neck and sides.

    Kori nodded, and flopped down on the moss. Her eyes closing as she did so. She glanced at Luckyherb and tilted her head "What is it like here? Mom explained clan things to me, but it's hard to understand." She mewed softly.

    Stonestep
    Stonestep's amber gaze narrowed at the newcomers, and he choked back a growl. Although Stonestep wouldn't dare think of harming another unless need be. Newcomers always rubbed his fur the wrong way, as he wasn't a very trusting cat. He huffed and lashed his tail to the side, averting his gaze to a random tree his gaze pinpointed.

    Northernfrost
    northernfrost was always gleeful when it came to training, and her apprentice made it all the better. "Race ya!" She said suddenly, taking off for the camp entrance to the training grounds. She paused for a moment to turn and see if Smallpaw was following, and once it was assured, she took off again.




    Aspenpaw
    Although Aspenpaw was a very outgoing cat, the itching silence became too much to bear. The medicine cat apprentice had no idea what to say. She gave Stormpaw a genuine smile, "Luckyherb seems pretty busy, so I should probably go and see if he needs any help." She said, flicking her tail in goodbye and hurrying off toward the medicine den. "See ya later!" She added over her shoulder at the tom, before disappearing completely into Luckyherb's den. "Hey Luckyherb! Do you need me for anything?" She inquired, observing the petite kit next to him.

    Eaglepaw
    Eaglepaw was still a bit shaken up from finding the injured kit, but with a quick shake of his fur, he cleared it from his mind. "Can we go train now?" He asked his mentor, bounding up to him and flicking his pale tabby ear. Eaglepaw figured training could ease his mind a bit.

    Luckyherb laid down beside the young kit, spreading the poultice around before seeing Aspenpaw pad in. "Well, you can start by organizing the herbs," The medicine cat called to his apprentice, then ducked back down to Korina's length. "It's actually pretty nice here," Luckyherb started. "We have the leader who leads the pack, the deputy who fills in if the leader is absent or killed. The medicine cat, me, heals the cats and has a special relationship with StarClan, but that's a whole 'nother conversation. The warriors hunt and fight, which often leads to them being extremely reckless. The apprentices are trained by these warriors to hunt and fight before they too can become warriors. Aspenpaw, the medicne cat apprentice, is whom I train to become a medicine cat. Now the elders are the retired cats who can no longer go about their jobs, and the queens are the she-cats who have or going to have kits. The kits stay with their mothers in the nursery until they can become apprentices at 6 moons. Got that?"[/fancypost]

    Thunderstrike looked about, trying to spot Echopaw in the camp. Once she found her again, the tortoiseshell trotted over, "Have you finished eating? We can go now if you're done."

    Bounding through the forest, the two kits laughed out loud, completely unconcerned that they were breaking the rules of the clan. The brothers began chasing another mouse that happened across their path, digging at the entrance of the hole it fled into.

    Honey glared at Luckyherb, offended. So when I ask, I'm told to shut up, but when a kit asks, you instantly answer her. Gee, aren't you just a kind soul? she thought angrily, curling up well out of the way with an offended huff. Let the tom spoil the kits, what did she care?

    Echopaw nodded, bounding towards camp entrance. Yet she skidded to a stop when she saw Honey looking offeneded. Oh. The kit was getting more attention. "Hey, Honey. Wanna chat later?" She asked, being nice as usual.

    Luckyherb sensed Honey's distaste and whipped his tail in her face. Same goes for you, The medicine cat thought saltily. He had always liked kits better than older cats, and even if he was mean to the young kit she would probably have a panic attack. Luckyherb rolled his eyes away from Korina that seemed to say "I'll treat you when I do", yet not looking directly at the loner.[/fancypost]

    Springstar padded into the medicine den, careful to be quiet so that she wouldn't interrupt anything that might be going on. She spotted Luckyherb speaking with the kit, and the kittypet was curled up in a nest. Springstar could tell she wasn't sleeping, though, and took the opportunity to talk to her. She padded up to the she-cat and spoke quietly, "I'm the leader, Springstar. Are you able to come with me for a moment? I'd like to talk to you."


    Tigergaze nodded. "Of course," he replied, heading towards the camp entrance once again. He chuckled and added, "Unless we get interrupted by a strange cat for a third time."


    Smallpaw grinned and bounded after her mentor, multi-colored eyes bright with excitement.

    Korina blinked her eyes as she listened, flinching slightly as the movement and new voices surprised her. As she had been abused, she was awfully skittish around strangers. She only allowed Luckyherb near her to treat her, once he was finished she scooted away slightly her ears pinned back, not all the way though. She struggled to stand , her scars coming into full view as she stood up, wobbling a bit.

    Berrywing sat close to her brother Graystorm. They both kept their eyes fixed on the medicine den. Berrywing turned when she heard her brother speak; "Two strange cats in one day... can it get any more strange today?" She didn't respond just turned her gaze back.


    Shrewfoot followed behind Flamepaw as they walked. The Warrior chuckled slightly "if you weren't running like a fox with its head gone, you just may have seen the rabbit hole your foot went into." He nudged the apprentice through the camp entrance.
    "Haha.. so funny Shrewfoot..." Flamepaw meowed sarcastically. "I happened to be chasing a squirrel and wasn't looking we're I was going." He could feel his front paw swelling. He would just need something to reduce the swelling and for the pain and it be alright.
    "Isn't this like your 3rd time into the medicine den in less then a moon..." Shrewfoot said more then asked. What can I say, I like visiting Aspenpaw. Flamepaw thought sitting outside the den while Shrewfoot poked his head in. The large pale gray tom opened his eyes wide looking into the medicine cats den, "Woah... it's packed in here." He meowed glancing around. The Warrior looked at the strange cats in the den and then back towards the medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice. "Flamepaw hurt himself while hunting... again..." He meowed with a slight chuckle under his breath.
