[fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-shadow:0px 0px 5px black; letter-spacing:1px][justify][sub][color=black]the poor people of Wyoming....that was the very first place this virus struck first...well i would have to say 'created'. they did not mean to create a deadly virus that made people into rotting, mindless zombies. the scientist were trying to make a cure for the illness of alzheimer's. but instead of trying to make a cure...they made a virus. at the start of it all, they were not completely sure what this new found diseases they come across of. so they began making test of lab rats and rabbits...but it seemed that the animals were immune to the virus. to their surprise it was, so they began to make other tests. in the process of their test, some one, and by 'someone' i mean the guy of the name of Jacob Quinn was poked with a needle that was filled with the virus. he did not say anything in the beginning, but he soon began to get sick...very sick..and that was how this whole virus spread. when Jacob passed away, he came back to life...but his soul was gone for good. he began eating people, his coleges really. when he told them that he was becoming sick and that he was stuck with a needle filled with the virus...they put him in quarantine and hooked up to machines of all kinds to see if his vitals were all good. but as you can see...he's health plummeted to the floor. they x-rayed his brain and his brain was starting to become rotten and black and squishy. they quickly took him back to to his quarantine room...but he had already died in the process and he soon lashed out at people, biting them and eating them alive...and that...started the whole zombie up rising. the virus spread to every corner of the united states, from Washington to new york. the world was becoming a horrible place to live and the population was plummeting to the floor.
there was no place you could call safe, there were zombies every where, but there were some places that weren't as bad. but all together...the zombies had won. when the zombies out broke, the military began to bomb the city, in hopes that they would kill the zombies before the illness spread. but some how, the illness was in the air, and could be contracted into the lungs...but you would not turn in to a zombie. it was soon found out that even if you died, you would then turn in to one of those walking dead freaks. but the public was not informed about this...lucky for them right? not at all...i was being sarcastic there if you did not know that. anyway the world was in a crapper and their was nothing we could do about it...all we can do is survive. millions of people were dead, and it felt like there was no one else in the world. the world felt empty...it was like there was no living person in the world any more. but in a long run, a group of people were able to find each other. everyone had their own stories to tell of how they were able to survive. and now, they all had each other's back and they are all trying to work together and simply do one thing...survive.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-shadow:0px 0px 5px black; letter-spacing:1px][justify][sub][color=black] the virus was a horrible thing...and it was not even meant to happen. the thing is...you wonder what that stages are if you get the virus. well i will tell you, the fact that a single bite or scratch can leave you eating brain matter is a very unnerving thought and, as such, close contact with the undead in any situation warrants extreme caution. any zombie-inflicted wound in which the skin has been broken means one inevitable outcome – zombie infection. this must be avoided at all costs for the chances of a successful anti-virus being developed, amid the chaos such an outbreak would bring, are very slim. the time taken for the virus to completely takeover the host is highly variable, mainly depending on the severity and location of the injury. one bite for example, could take anywhere from several hours to a number of days for the individual to succumb to cannibalistic urges. The general pathway of infection is as follows:
stage 1: infection
stage 2: intense pain at site of injury
stage 3: fever
stage 4: numbness/loss of function
stage 5: vision impairment
stage 6: memory loss/deterioration in brain capacity
stage 7: loss of consciousness
stage 8: death
stage 9: reanimation
the very last stage is well...pretty much a walking zombie. the stages can sometimes just sneak up on you and sometimes the stages don't even come.,,you just turn into a zombie right when you are bit. but that only happens if you are bite down in the gut or if you have flesh ripped off when you are bit or scratched. that is extremly rare to happen, ad like i said before, even if you die an you are not bite by a zombie you turn in to one anyway. the illness had become air born and is being breathed it to the body. you do not turn in to a zombie no...but if you die or killed you come back as a life less zombie.

It can be argued that the term killing is technically inaccurate, as despite the observed locomotion of the zombie, all other life functions have ceased. Still, the point is mostly one of semantics. All you have to do is aim for the head, strike, and don't miss!
Destroying The Brain
Nearly all zombie survivalists are in agreement that the destruction of the brain is the only surefire way to neutralize the zombie (though a few rare types of zombies require complete dismemberment). In World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide, The Frontal Lobe is the area of the Zombie brain that still has limited function, and its destruction is key to putting a zombie down (in The Walking Dead, it is the brain stem. Still, in both works, substantial structural damage to any part of the brain is enough to stop the zombie). Some works of fiction (as well as self-proclaimed "zombie experts") would lead the public to believe that any tool that can break bones (from golf clubs, to chef's cleavers, to broomstick handles) will suffice. In reality, this is not the case and such notions are likely to get a person killed.
The skull is not only one of the thickest bones in the body, but the spherical shape of the cranium has evolved over countless eons of evolution to deflect and absorb tremendous amounts of force to preserve its precious cargo. Fracturing a skull to the point required to kill a zombie is no small feat without firearms. Although, decaying bones will soften and become more feeble. Capable Melee weapons are usually quite heavy, and draining to wield over time - perhaps even impossible to wield for smaller or weaker humans.
Without a weapon like a large axe, or sledgehammer, attacking the forehead, top, or back of the skull is not recommended. Baseball bats may fracture the skull, but typically not thoroughly enough in these areas to cause structural brain damage. The sides of the head, eyes, ears, and crux of the neck are better targets.
The temple on the right of the forehead and the area under the chin do not require as much exertion to overcome the skull's resistance, but the precision to hit these small targets under duress (and with attackers coming from multiple angles, as one-on-one zombie encounters are somewhat uncommon) usually makes these targets less than practical.
Most firearms are more than adequate for destroying an undead brain. However, smaller calibers may need to be much closer to do so on a reliable basis, and distance between the shooter and the undead horde is of the highest value. Most non-military firefights take place roughly 5-20 feet from its combatants. This is how many guns have been designed for decades, and it is not the same situation one desires when confronted with dozens of shambling corpses.
Mistakes
Do not underestimate the effect fear may have on a survivor's capacity to fight, especially their first few encounters. It is usually better to avoid confrontation if possible, and instead flee undetected, especially if one isn't barricaded, or by a base. The groans of one zombie may bring many more than one can handle.
As earlier mentioned, there is great misinformation in regards to the ease of fracturing the skull. Sometimes a sharp weapon to sever the spine at the neck is more practical. Some types of zombies are immune or ignorant of the sounds of gunfire. Some hone into it. Before letting off rounds indiscriminately, it's best to know which type is present. Do not underestimate how tiring it may be to penetrate a skull. It will rarely take only one swing, so be prepared. Be aware of your surroundings, and how much space you need to swing.
Things to Consider Before Committing to Battle
If there is a melee weapon present, are you sure you know how to hold it?
Are you sure it is durable enough to use without breaking in your hands?
How long can you attack with it before exhaustion kicks in? If it does, what is plan B?
Are you sure it can break the skull?
Can you slip away unnoticed, or incapacitate/trap the zombie?
How sure are you that their groans won't attract nearby zombies?
Infected/Fast Zombies
many instances of fast zombies are not truly dead, merely humans in a rabid state, immune to pain, exhaustion, and mercy. while faster, and more hostile fighters than their slower cousins, they are ultimately more fragile. they can bleed out (major damage to the arteries of the neck, upper arms and legs can incapacitate them), and destroying the heart, lungs, spine or aorta can be instantly fatal. still, because of their overwhelming ferocity, a glancing or mistimed blow with a melee weapon is usually the last mistake a human makes, so firearms are strongly advised.
broadly say, zombies have the appearance of the living but their lack of free will and souls give them the appearance of mechanical robots.
an insatiable and endless desire to consume living animal flesh, usually human seems to be their only motive for existence. they are incapable of speech, but often tend to make moaning and guttural sounds.
some display visible signs of desiccation, decay and emaciation on their face and body. They have blank, expressionless faces that become more animated when they get hungry and engage in a feeding frenzy.
they are normally encountered wearing whatever clothing they wore in their human life, prior to reanimation.
they don't really have any strength, seeing that they are rotting at the seems. when they run they more likely run with a slight limp or crawl on the ground. they always snap their teeth and snarl and slash their arms at you, trying to grab at you and eat you alive.
