surviving (p)

"You wanna help me?" She asked

She pulled some food out to start preparing it to cook

She stayed silent as she did so

She soon finished and passed the food around onto plates

She handed one plate to Lou then went out to give the other plates to the rest of the gang. She flung herself on the sofa beside Janja and started eating

Jasari yelped when some blood dripped onto her hand and she glanced at her brother's arm. "Oh my God! Janja did I do that?!" She cried, staring at the large gash running from his shoulder to his elbow, so deep she swore she could see muscle. "Of course not, furbrain. The hunters did." He said. She would have smiled at his insulting nickname for her from their childhood if she wasn't so worried.

They both glanced at her, "you know how to bind wounds?" Janja asked, his snide tone making his words sound disbelieving and insulting

"Be good or I will make you pay!" Jasari hissed in a low voice then looked at Lou. "Ignore him. A bind would be great." She said

Jasari sent her brother a warning glare and he looked away. Gently gripping his wrist, she pulled his arm out straight so Lou could work easier

Jasari watched, glad Janja was staying silent because his pain growls may have frightened Lou
