(her real name is ayleth spiros). in the nearby kingdom of lyrreos, the king is dying. ayleth is sent to taer as a spy, acting as a servant to gather as much information as needed of who the successors to the throne are, what the size of the king's army is like...etc, before the king dies. Her task is to kill all the successors, including the prince. your character is the prince. however, the last thing ayleth expected was the prince to save her life at a ball, when an attack occurs. and she also didn't expect to fall for the prince after that. her mission was to single handedly destroy the political system of the kingdom so her king could take over. ayleth never asked questions before, never needed to since she was paid handsomely. but she didn't expect to ever love someone, or be loved by someone...
so it will be a plot of forbidden love in a way, because ayleth is a "servant". also at some point in the roleplay (probably way later on when things get complicated), her true identity will be revealed to the prince. he'll be upset with her. then ayleth's king will show up, and ayleth will have to show who she's loyal to. WILL BE FUN I PROMISE!

    [Yeppp!]
. Ayleth wasn't going to lie, the idea of being shipped off to another kingdom to kill off a bunch of people swiftly so that her king, the man paying her, could rule a second kingdom. Why couldn't he just storm in with his army, it was big enough to her, and take over? Ayleth supposed she shouldn't complain, he was giving her a hefty sum of money. And it wasn't like she hadn't been given odd or questionable missions before. Ayleth still felt like things were a bit off...but if she didn't do what the king said, he threatened to send her to the slave mines, where she would likely work herself to death.
To prepare for this mission, Ayleth had to get rid of all her beautiful, expensive, silky clothes and trade them in for ugly , hideous rags. Her clothing would be there when she got back but, the young woman liked living in wealth. And now she was going to have to be a dirty servant girl working in the castle. Wonderful. She kept reminding herself it would all be worth it in the end. Anyways, Ayleth had been there for a few weeks now, and had settled into being a sort of ... well maid. So far she'd gathered absolutely no information regarding potential successors after the immediate royal family. Nor had she been able to over hear information regarding army counts. She would have to sneak into the war room one of these days and find out what she could. The rest of her information would most likely be in the kings study, but that was almost nearly impossible to breach. Ayleth was smart, and liked to make sure she didn't have to worry about being caught.
Tonight was a ball, celebrating a wedding of one of the Lord's of the court. She would probably have to kill him, at some point, though it was a little hard, seeing how happy the man was with his wife, and she with him. Most marriages were arranged, but this one did not appear to be. The two seemed in love. Ayleth herself had given up on love years ago, when she lost the man she was supposed to marry to the very man who trained her as an assassin. Not the king of taer but the assassin king. Losing Cassius was the most heartbreaking thing the young woman ever had to go through - no wound was more painful.
The celebration was dying down now, and Ayleth had an empty tray in her hands, music playing, people were still around, the Royals too. Suddenly though, men in black clothing, perhaps four or five appeared in the room, drawing swords. They all went after either the Royals, or nobles. A fight broke out, chaos ensuing. The bride of the party was immediately targeted, and Ayleth didn't even think, she rushed over and held up the metal try to protect the woman from being hit by the sword. The metals met with a clang, and behind her she heard the woman gasp, before getting pulled away by a palace guard. Ayleth's makeshift shield was too dented to be used again, and she backed up, defenseless. She could easily disarm this man, but she was supposed to be a simple servant girl...Ayleth backed away as the man went to swing again to kill her. Oh she so did not expect to die this way...

  • [color=white][size=7pt] The prince was enjoying himself enough. Well, he did enjoy seeing the others happy. Even if it meant he couldn't be completely happy himself. The male was dressed in a nice suit which was black with white accents. Pretty simple of course considering he was no master of fashion. Noah watched with happiness as many females danced with their loved once, spoiled in beautiful dresses that their husbands most likely spent a lot of money on. It wasn't even the fashion that was beautiful. It was the way that they trusted one another step after step. Elegantly swaying through the crowds of others who would be doing just about the same thing.
Noah was sitting in his throne, which was placed neatly next to his mother and father's, but also a bit smaller. Initially he never thought of leaving the comfortable seat but yet that thought had to come to an end when a band of men dressed in black had began to threaten the place. All that secret training wasn't for nothing! The prince jumped out of his seat, dashing through the panicking crowd as they evacuated the area for safety. Noah jumped up to grab an ancient sword that was hung neatly on the wall, which served well for him considering it was still sharpened. Dangerous enough. The male jumped through the crowd, making sure everyone was safe until he spotted a dangerous encounter at what seemed to be one of the men and a maid of the castle. Although he had never seen the female before. Shaking away the thought, the prince jumped in front of the female and grinned. "Oh come on. I thought you guys were bad enough but harming a lady? Now that's low!" He exclaimed, circling the blade around the male's to throw it into the air, potentially disarming the other man. "I recommend you leave," Noah said, watching as the male turned tails and ran from the prince. "Now that that's over. Are you alright?" He asked the female maid.

It was kind of ironic to Ayleth, dying helpless when she could defend herself, because she had to stay in character. She almost debated rolling out of the way in time, disarming him, but, getting out of the way seemed like a better idea maybe? Before she got the chance to do anything though, there was suddenly a young man in front of her - the prince? And he spoke something, something absolutely ridiculous to her attacker, that she nearly rolled her eyes and snorted. But, the prince quickly disarmed the other man, and then dashed off along with the others. She didn't really understand though, why these attackers came in now, without back up and such small numbers? Perhaps it was a warning? Maybe Taer wasn't the only kingdom trying to take over Lyrreos.
When the prince turned around to face her, she tilted her head in question, putting a hand on her heart, trying to look like an innocent, worried maid. "Yes I'm fine," she nodded and glanced around the room. It looked like a few were injured, and she saw a couple dead bodies. Ayleth had seen death before, but somehow it felt wrong to do it at a wedding, a happy celebration. Ayleth might be a cold blooded assassin, but at least she still had morals. Many times when the king asked her to kill someone, and she learned their death wasn't necessary, she gave them the option to fake their death and flee the country. The King never found out about that. If he did, she'd surely be beheaded.
"Thank you," she murmured, and then remembered he was royalty before curtseying. "Your majesty," she added. Ayleth wanted to make a retort about how his disarming was a little sloppy, but that was out of place. She turned to pick up the tray she'd used to block the sword from killing the woman earlier. "I really hope this isn't docked from my pay," she frowned, looking at the bent metal.

  • [color=white][size=8] "Yeah, it's no problem. They're pretty heartless for doing this at a wedding, don't you think?" The prince said, looking around at the pain. But that was soon followed by a small giggle. "I don't think you have to worry about a tray. It shouldn't be a problem. And you can just call me Noah. Kind of uncomfortable to the whole 'Majesty' thing. Not my type," he said softly, tossing the ancient sword to the ground. "I wonder how the Lord is holding up. Maybe him and his new wife got out safely with no injuries." Noah said walking around and kicking a few spilled cups along the ground. "Bad timing, but hey, I've never seen you before. And I do live here so I imagine that I would at least recognize someone who works in my home. What's your name?" Noah asked, turning his head to look at the female who wasn't exactly as shaken up as the prince thought a maid would be.

Ayleth let the broken metal drop back to the floor with a small clang before putting her hands on her hips with a small nod at his comment. "It is sort of random. Perhaps the groom has some enemies? Or the bride?" she glanced around with a frown. "Though I suppose I'm not too upset the party ended, I was jealous of the fun everyone was having," she huffed. It was so weird being on the other side of things. She was used to being pampered back home...was it even home...at the castle. As the kings assassin, she could do pretty much whatever she wanted and live like a princess, enjoy parties...but, now she had to clean up after everyone. She needed to figure out things soon, kill everyone and leave...
Ayleth raised an eyebrow as the prince continued to speak to her, as well as ask him to address her as Noah. "Unfortunately for you, your majesty, it's in the job description to address you by your title. If anyone heard me say your first name, I'm sure they'd put me on cleaning after the horses," she made a face and grumbled to herself, crossing her arms over her chest. Ayleth only shrugged again at his comments about the bride and groom, and then stared at him blankly as he asked for her name. Ayleth didn't get the chance to explain anything before the two were interrupted.
"Ayleth!" someone behind her hissed and she glanced over her shoulder. It was her superior, her boss. "Apologies, your highness if this maid is bothering you. Come on, we obviously have a lot to clea-" the woman paused as she saw one of the dead bodies being carried away and blanched. Ayleth almost snorted but gave the prince an apologetic glance, a little half wave before ushering the older, shocked woman away and down the hall.

  • [color=white] The Prince shrugged. "Then call me it when not around other people," he said looking behind him as the name was yelled. The Prince nodded towards the maid with a smile, returning the wave. "I have high hopes we meet again Ayleth," he spoke softly before watching the two women walk away. Noah looked around at the destruction and ordered a few men at collecting the bodies for the families of who had died. "I expect a decent funeral for those who perished at this accident. A flag of the kingdom handed to the family's spouse or child." Noah watched the men nod and head off the fulfill the order in which the male had given him. "Alright, I suppose there isn't much more I can do here," the male decided SILENTLY before beginning through multiple halls. Noah looked at the photos of past kings on the walls, thoughts flooding through him at that he could soon be another painting on that wall. Shaking the thought, the Prince stepped up some stairs that seemed to be mostly made of the stone that accented the castle itself. After reaching the top of the steps, Noah entered a room that was considered his quarters. Of course it was very large with a king sized bed and a desk by a window. The rest was pretty much extra space. He unbuttoned the golden buttons to the black suit he wore and slipped it off, leaving him shirtless in the pale light of the room that was only being lit by the moonlight seeping through the window. Noah took a seat at his desk and hastily began to sketch roughly on a piece of paper.

Ayleth tilted her head in question at the prince as he suggested she call him Noah when they weren't around others....as if they would be alone at some point or something. Was this how the prince was? Wooing pretty maids or something? It wouldn't be the first time a prince tried to flirt with her. He ended up with a broken finger. And like it was mentioned before, she didn't usually want to fall for anyone, not after losing the one person she thought she'd spend the rest of her life with. Ayleth's hand went to her neck, where her dead lovers necklace was - it was just a simple quartz crystal, and she ran her hand over it with a sigh.
She merely gave Noah a nod as he said he was hopefully they'd meet again. Probably, but the next time she might be sticking a knife in his chest...but Ayleth didn't like the Idea of that. She always believed that if someone saves your life, you owe them yours. But if she didn't do it, she'd be in big trouble. Ayleth was sure she'd get over it, he wouldn't even have to know it was her! Now wasn't the time to kill him anyways, but soon..
In the meantime, Ayleth had to clean up the blood. Some of the maids moved away and threw up, but she had no problem. She'd laid in a pool of her own blood once before, so this wasn't so bad. Once she was done, she was given the opportunity to bathe, and then after that, there was one more task before she could retire to the servants chambers for the night. And that was bring some food to the prince, since the party had sort of ended before food and such. Guess the prince was right, they'd be seeing each other soon. Ayleth sighed and headed up the stairs to where she was told his chambers would be, and then she knocked on the door with her foot, carrying the tray with both hands.

  • [color=white] Tongue protruding from his mouth in focus, the male continued to lazily draw sketch lines on the page. Finally this drawing was becomming more and more recognizable as a highly detailed face. Just a face. No one specific. It was clear to se darker sketched lines where shading would be necessarily for the person he was drawing, and each line had been planned where it would lay on the paper. Scratching the back of his head, he viewed the sketch in different angles before deciding that he was satisfied with the first part of the drawing.
Noah slightly jumped as the knock was placed on the door, making him turn his head to glance at the door before saying the words that would allow the other presence to enter the quarters. "Come in!" He said, watching as the knob to the large door was turned, soon realizing that he was indeed still shirtless at the moment.

Ayleth waited patiently outside the door and sighed, and tilted her head as the prince said to come in. the young woman narrowed her eyes and glanced around the hall before finding a table to set the tray down on. Then she opened the door. "I could have been anyone, and you're leaving your door unlocked?" she shook her head with a sigh and then grabbed the tray, heading inside. Ayleth noticed his shirt was missing, and she may or may not have let her gaze linger for a moment before she set the tray down again on another table in his room. "Seriously, I could have been one of the masked men out to kill everyone tonight, and you're all vulnerable without a shirt on," she put her hands on her hips. Back home, Ayleth always had a weapon on her. Like now, she had one strapped to her leg by her ankle, reading to use at any moment. There were some men around here who liked pretty woman, and liked to take advantage of them. Happened all the time. "Anyways, there's your dinner. Enjoy, Noah " she gave a curtsey, but didn't leave the room just yet. He seemed to be working on a sketch, and she was a little curious, but she turned to his room instead, letting her eyes travel around, for her own, assassin purposes.

  • [color=white] "I'm not particularly worried about that. A masked man who had just wrecked an entire ball with no stealth at all wouldn't knock on my door." Noah laughed and shrugged. "Thanks, Ayleth," he said with a smile. "And it's not like I purposely remove my shirt for maids who enter my room. I just forgot," he stated simply, glancing at the food that the maid had sat down. "Honestly I'm not that hungry. You can have it," he said tilting his head in the direction of the tray. "So, do tell me, how did you end up working here, huh? Like I said earlier, I haven't seen you around and the majority of the maids here have been working since I was a child so it's unusual to see a new face. I'm sure you understand why I'm curious?" He said, pulling up an extra chair and placing it in front of him for the girl who had entered his quarters.

"Actually," Ayleth started, turning to look at the prince, "Knocking is something you think they wouldn't do, so that fact itself is unexpected and they'd take you by surprise," she shrugged, and then raised an eyebrow at him as he said her name. It was weird, having everyone here use her real name, the one she was born with. Everyone back home called her Helewys, her assassin name. It was going to take time to get used to this, but she couldn't help but enjoy the way Noah said her name.
As he offered her his meal she grinned. "Well, don't mind if I do," she said and sat down at the table in his room to eat the prince's meal. Oh she was the worst maid in the world wasn't she? His question about how she got the job there made her pause her eating but she remained unphased. "I - um," she cleared her throat. "I was a courtesan," she glanced down at the ground. "I had a master, he was abusive and did not treat me right," Ayleth was great at acting, and she even managed to get some tears to her eyes. "So I ran away. I didn't want to be abused anymore. I figured working here at the castle would keep me safe, being surrounded by so many guards," she shrugged and glanced back up at him. "The castle always needs more people to help," she wanted to pat herself on the back for that performance. "Are you drawing?" she changed the subject, hoping it sounded like she didn't want to talk about her past anymore when in reality she didn't have anything else to say about the lie.

  • [color=white] Noah leaned back in his chair, nodding, as he listened to the girl's backstory. "I see. Then I hope you enjoy working here. It's not the best work but it sure is better than some in the kingdom," he said softly, looking towards his sketchpad where the drawing was. "Ah, that. Well, I do sketch in what free time I have but I'm not the best. Usually I just study battling and new technologies outside my duty but anything to get my mind off all the stressful jobs are welcomed," he mumbled softly, running his fingers over the sketch. "I'm not really sure who she is but my fingers have definitely pursued the look of a human female face. Maybe it's someone important to me? Maybe it's just something random I'm not exactly sure."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid white; width: 450px; text-align: center; height: auto; font-size: 24pt; text-shadow:2px 2px 2px #000000; color: #95c3d0; font-family: georgia; line-height: 90%]ayleth spiros ♔

Ayleth inwardly sighed in relief that he seemed to go along with her story. Good, good. "Mm. It's better than someone using me as a plaything," she shrugged, "But it's also..more difficult than I expected. There's always something to clean, someone to tend to. It's quite exhausting. I pass out as soon as I return to my chambers," she chuckled and then paused her speaking so she could eat and the prince could continue talking. She'd been getting sloppy leftovers and meals since she got here, so having a meal made for a royal? Oh she missed this. She nodded as he explained he sketched but he wasn't too terrrible. "What you've got there is probably better than anything I could have ever drawn," she shrugged, wiping her face with a napkin, then leaned back in the chair a bit. "You'll figure it out," she added at his last comment and let herself study his features while his attention was on the sketch. Then she stood and started putting all the stuff back on the tray to bring back to the kitchen, then head to the servants chambers and sleep.

  • [color=white] Noah nodded and shrugged. "Maybe I will, or maybe it will remain a mystery." Noah heaved a sigh and watched the female stand up and gather the things. "I see you're heading off. I'll see you tomorrow then, Ayleth," he said with a smile, meanwhile standing and pushing the desk chair in the space under the desk. He then walked towards the door and gripped the handle, opening it for the maid exiting. "Thanks for bringing me a meal," he said, winking and smiling towards the maid as she exits. Once she was gone, Noah walked towards his king-sized bed, positioning himself comfortably in the blankets. He stared at the roof for a few minutes before closing his eyes and allowing the darkness of slumber to overcome his body.

Ayleth nodded as he said it might remain a mystery. "Sometimes the mysteries are more interesting than knowing," she said with a bit of a smile and then lifted up all the things. She laughed as he said he'd see her tomorrow. "We'll see about that," she winked, and then shuffled towards the door, which he had opened. "Oh now you open the door," she shook her head with a sigh and wandered out. "Thanks for letting me eat your meal," she laughed and then turned, going back down the stairs all the way to the kitchen. Then she yawned and dragged herself to the servants quarters for the woman and collapsed in her bed. One of the other maids asked if she was okay and she nodded, before crawling under the covers and passed out. Who knew work like this could be so tiring?

She fell asleep very fast, and woke in the morning to all the other maids rushing about around her. Groaning, she got to her feet, bathed, and then got dressed, braided her hair. Today she was to go and help the gardeners in the large courtyard with pulling weeds and planting new flowers. So that's where she was now, getting all dirty, pulling weeds. How on earth did the king expect her to get any information when she had to work all the time, and then when work was over she was so exhausted? Maybe she could use the prince's fascination with her to her advantage.

  • [color=white] Noah awoke in the morning, the light shining through his blinds. "Ugh," he groaned quietly, stretching his arms into the air and pulling himself out of the bed. He then walked to his personal bathroom, taking a quick shower before getting dressed. He put on a pair of black particularly skinny jeans and a long-sleeve button up with gold-colored buttons and a stand up collar. He combed his hair and made himself presentable before exiting his room and walking down the stairs that lead to the open throne room. He then exited through the doors to appear outside, standing still to allow the sun to warm his skin before walking towards the courtyard. Looking around, he found a particularly familiar face and smiled to himself, walking over and kneeling down behind the girl. "Guess who."

Ayleth yawned as she pulled a huge chunk of weeds out and set it in the bucket she had of a bunch of others of them. She was still tired even after getting a pretty good amount of sleep. She was about to go digging for more in the dirt when someone knelt beside her, causing her to jump in surprise. She put a hand over her chest before deciding to reply sarcastically. "My replacement?" she asked. "I've been digging in the dirt for two hours now, so it's about time someone showed up to take over," she joked, and gave Noah a small smirk before she leaned back on her feet, where she was kneeling on the ground. Then Ayleth side and glanced around at the other servants working in the garden. "I wish there was an easy way to do this," she reached forwards to start looking for weeds again when she accidentally pricked herself on a thorn. She let out a small yelp in pain and frowned, pulling her finger back to see the cut. She'd been through worse, so this was nothing. She wiped the dirt around her finger on her skirts, and then applied pressure to stop the bleeding. "Look I'm even getting injured. My pay should increase," Ayleth pouted.

And there was one particular place where the who kingdom could be seen from above. Sure, it took a bit of walking or in Noah's case, horse-riding. But it would definitely be worth it in the end.
