This is a masterpost for the 'Day at the Lake' badge events!

All threads linked below will allow you/your character to earn badges by completing certain tasks. The two tasks below are open to BlizzardClan and all its allies.
THE BONFIRE PARTY BADGE THREAD
- The Bonfire Party Badge is given to everyone who makes at least five posts.
THE SCAVENGER HUNT BADGE THREAD
- The Scavenger Hunt Badge is given to those who make at least ten posts.

The threads linked below will allow you/your character to earn badges by completing certain tasks. These two links are only open for BlizzardClan members.
THE SWIMMING CONTEST THREAD
- The Swimming Contest Badge is given to those who make at least ten posts. The winners [those in first, second, and third place] will be given badges different from the regular ten posts badge. Contest rules and how to win will be inside the thread/its first post.
THE SANDCASTLE BUILDING CONTEST THREAD
- The Sandcastle Building Contest is given to everyone who makes at least five posts. First, second, and third place winners will receive a badge different than those of the ones for only five posts. Contest rules and how to win will be inside the thread/its first post.

Now that the stars had strung themselves lazily in the sky and the sun gave up it's position in the skies, it was officially time for the bonfire party to begin. The night was dark but illuminated by the bright moon, shading all of BlizzardClan in a silvery glow. Soon, however, the white light would be overtaken by the fire's glow.

A large bonfire had been crafted out of great and small logs, twigs, and leaves. It was encircled by stone and rested on top of the sandy lake shores. Striking a match and tossing it onto the wood that was doused in gasoline, Suiteheart would ignite a stellar flame. It quickly began work to consume the entire stock but more fuel was set off to the side if it at all got low.

A yard or so from the fire, a large table was set up for snacks of all kind - marshmallows and supplies for s'mores were most heavily stocked. Everything under the sun could be found there. Along with food, drinks were placed in a large metal tub beside the table. Ice covered the wide variety of beverages, keeping them cool and refreshing.

A boom box sat off to the side, playing music from a good station. The volume was cranked up but not so high that it would annoy anyone. The music which streamed forth was something close to what would be considered 'Today's Hits," and it played a huge spectrum of musical genres.

As npcs from BlizzardClan and their allies began to arrive, Suiteheart would flash them all a happy, lopsided grin. This would be awesome, and she couldn't wait.

"Welcome to the Bonfire Party, everyone!"

A crooked-smile-wearing Suiteheart sat herself behind a small table a ways from the edge of BlizzardClan's lake. A huge pile of satchels sat to her right. It was almost midday, but not quite which made the weather nice. The coolness of the air was thankfully still around during this time of day. This reason was the exact one that lead the deputy to decide to hold the event at this time; it was comfortable.

Speaking of the event, before the white feline was the small table. Atop the table sat a couple of stacks of lists. They were handwritten, and surprisingly, written very neatly. There were enough lists to pass out to everyone participating and then some, so she had no fear of running out. And as this was a scavenger hunt, the paper ran off a list of things each participant needed to bring to her. The list read as follows:

'To Find And Bring To Suiteheart
[ ] something red
[ ] something blue
[ ] something green
[ ] something sharp
[ ] something smooth
[ ] something you like
[ ] something you dislike
[ ] something small
[ ] something big
[ ] something unique to you

1. Find one of each and put it in your bag.
2. Return to the lake.
3. No conjuring things.
4. No stealing.'

Once she made sure everything was in order, she stood up and called out with a bright smile, "Scavenger Hunt is now a-go! Rules are simple: find everything on the list, put it in your bag, and bring it to me. No conjuring anything on the list; everything can be found on the island. No stealing anyone else's things. That's it. Pick up a bag and head out. Have fun!"

Now that the sun was at its highest point, the weather had become incredibly hot. It was almost unbearable but not quite. It was, however, perfect time for a swimming contest. That being said, Suiteheart had already set everything up.

On the lake, a buoy had been placed a little short of its center. This was the point where the swimming contestants would stop before swimming back to shore. It wasn't too long of a distance, but it wasn't a short swim either. It would prove somewhat challenging but not horribly so. And should anything go wrong, npc lifeguards were set up around the perimeter of the lake.

A line had been drawn on the sand, a step away from the water's reach. This was the starting point as well as the finish line. Whoever crossed this first the second time would be the winner. Second place and third would follow afterwards.

"Hey, Swimming Contest is now open!" she called loudly. "There are a few rules: no powers or sabotage - this is a fair game. All you've gotta do is start at this line -" Suiteheart motioned to the starting line, "and swim to about the middle of the lake, where that buoy is. Once there, you turn around and swim back here. Whoever gets back to the line first, wins. Sound simple enough? Good."

She waited as BlizzardClanners began to pile up at the starting line. Once they had gathered, she began the countdown. "On one, start. Three... Two... One!" And then, they were off.

- due to the nature of this contest, you must wait for two people to post before you can post again. this way, things are a little more fair!
- first place, second place, and third place will be handed out accordingly. everyone who makes at least ten posts will receive a badge though!

The sun still hung stubbornly to the highest point in the sky, but it was beginning to grow tired of the act. As it slowly began its descent, the sandcastle contest would be held. A few hours after the swimming contest, the building would begin. Seeing as it was now that time, it was Suiteheart's pleasure to get things underway.

The land before the lake was covered in sand. The surface area was wide enough so that every BlizzardClanner would have enough room, enough sand, and then some. After all, it would be bad if they lacked what they needed to complete the task.

A large table had been set up. The table held various digging tools, buckets, and molds to put sand into to get designs. These would be what the participants of the contest had to use. While these were simple and somewhat crude in design, it would make things fair for everyone. Or more fair than they could've been.

"Yo, Sandcastle Building Contest is now happening!" the deputy called, voice loud and clear. "As with everything, we've got some rules: no powers and no messing up anyone else's castle. You can use all the tools from the table over there-" she flicked her head in the direction of said table and tools, "there's more than enough for everyone. You can also use whatever you find around the beach or in the water to decorate the castles. Go crazy with these things, guys. Coolest castle is the winner."

She waited for everyone to slowly gather around and spread out on the beach. "On your mark... Get set... Go!" And then, they were off.
