  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify;][color=white]is anyone good at like giving speeches ?
i have to give this speech about the shrine of remembrance in class tomorrow. but whenever i do public speaking - even just in front of classes - i get all nervous and i literally tremble. my whole body kind of shakes and i've given up on cue cards because they make it more obvious that i'm shaking. like i've tried rocking on my feet and not looking directly at people but just over them but nothing actually helps ?? and the annoying thing is we're also marked on how we present ourselves and how we act throughout the speech so i'm going to get the worst mark even though i spent forever doing the research and getting the speech done along with the powerpoint that goes with it.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; font-size: 8pt; width: 400px; text-align: justify;]i can't make a speech, but i'm pretty good at being them. first place at the speech meets, every time. c:
i recommend rehearsing it at your front door. i did that, and people flocked me but you need to learn not to mind it. all attention will be on you. if you make a mistake, don't stutter and correct yourself. just keep going. they don't know what the speech is, so how will they know you'll be wrong?

as for looking at them, just keep your eyes focused on the back wall. either that or look every student in the eye.

the trembling is an easy fix. whenever i tremble, i just tense my muscles and that usually works. the trembling will fade and so will you flexing. a slight cramp would be due, though.

    hope i helped!!
