    Ailie took a deep breath,"I'm half angel,half demon,in other words a walking disaster.My mom,the angel, went missing a couple of days after my birth and my dad doesn't hate me he just doesn't like to see me because I remind him too much of my mom"she blurted out the words in a rush,"I was an only child and nobody ever wants me so I'm an orphan origianlly nobody likes me but if I tell them what I am they always get rid of me one way or another.And trust me I've tried to kill myself,jumping off a high cliffs,drowning,fires,starvation,guns,heck I've even tried getting sick nothing works I can die but right after I die a appear back on earth somewhere else it's fustrating!"

    Alex blinked, simply staring at Ailie.

    Jace watched Ailie, a pang of sympathy washing over him. "I like you," he managed to breath, all humor gone from his voice.

    Ailie smiled half-heartedly at him,"Don't"she whispered pleading,"You'll just get hurt"


    Rose nodded at Alex,"I know"she said nodded

    "No, really." Jace stared at Ailie, his eyes flashing. "You're a lot more important to other people than you think. Not everyone you meet is gonna hate you for who you are. I don't."

    Ailie walked closer to him biting deeply into her lip,"Jace"she said sighing,"Are you listening to me?You could die.I'm not worth your possible death.Find someone who deserves you"

    "That's just it--yes you are. I nearly meet my demise ten times a day, by doing stupid stuff like jumping through windows or running through fire and such. At least by dying for you, it would have been worth it." He grinned weakly, the atmosphere of the cathedral starting to get to him.

    Ailie smiled back at Jace but it didn't touch her eyes,"And me?How would you think I would feel if it was my fault that I killed you"she asked her eyes filled with unshead tears knowing she couldn't bear the idea of anyone getting hurt because of her,espicially not Jace

    Jace grinned. "I'm hoping you'd be willing to take the risk," he said simply. "I am."

    Ailie smiled at her weakly and kissed him on the cheek,"I wouldn't be able to live with myself after that"she breathed into his ear before fading away

    Jace blinked. "Wait, where are you...." He looked from Alex to Rose and suddenly tensed up. "I'm not staying here." Alex opened her mouth to argue but Jace had let out a pained groan and was on his knees. He closed his eyes and clenched his teeth as his back began to sear. He let out an agonized yell and, within seconds, his shirt was ripped to shreds as his wings extended from his back. They had to be over 15 feet long when extended, and they gleamed magnificently in the sun. A bit of blood trickled down his back but he ignored it and looked at Alex. "Sorry, but I gotta fly."

    Rose looked at Alex,"Should we follow him?"she asked quietly knowing the answer


    Ailie ended up on the roof of a gas station in the middle od nowhere she sighed feeling hollow she drew her knees to her chest and closed her eyes

    "I wouldn't recommend it," Jace warned. With a quick flick of his wing he sent the sharp tipped end of a single feather across Alex's hand. A line of red appeared in its wake. "Ouch!" Alex cried, staring at him in disbelief. He grinned and winked at her, gently grabbing her wrist and lifting it to his lips. "There. All better. Don't wait up." Slowly beating his wings against the air, he lifted up and soared down the great hall.

    Alex glared after him and abruptly brought them back to earth, not quite as easily as last time. "He's so difficult!" She cried angrily.

    Jace swooped out of an open window in the cathedral, squinting against the bright light. Because he was a Fallen Angel, he had to get out the manual way. He rose into the air and then dove downward, going as quickly as he could to break through the barrier between the dimensions and get home again.
