she watched him leave, the tiny she-cat's heart fluttering a bit. 'that was kind.' she thought to herself, as she watched him clean himself for a moment, partially in shock. 'i mean, he's still an arrogant pr*ck, but i really didn't see that coming. he's okay in my book.' she decided, before looking back towards the fresh-kill pile. she crept over there, still hoping no one would see her, despite being given permission by a high elite. she had been conditioned to think that way, and nothing would change it. she reached the squirrel, really a massive thing, compared to her anyway, and glanced around one more time to make sure no one was watching.
