Royal had just turned 4 the day before. He had spent the day as he did many others, searching for his long lost parents. He didn't know anyone to help him, so he just wondered the streets, crying and calling out his mother's name, and hiding his small white wings. They were of no use anyway.
Right now as he woke up the dull thought of his mother carrying him upside-down and singing playfully was almost too much for him. He brushed a stray strand of his blond hair off his cheek and sat up. His sheet he used was too thin and his only other jacket was the one he had stolen from a white-coat. He would never use that. He whimpered and whispered once more, before falling back asleep against the brick wall.
"Mommy."

Jade was sitting onto of the building the young boy was leaning up against. Her long purple higlighted hair was being teased by the breeze. She felt sorry for him so she took off her thick coat and softly fluttered down being careful not to wake him then places her coat over him the took off back to her spot.
-
Royal eyes felt heavy when he suddenly felt the warmth of the coat. He writhed for a moment in confusion but then opened his eyes all the way. The wind was blowing slightly. He looked from side to side but no one was near. He looked at the coat. It looked as if a winged person had it, like him. He smiled for the first time since he left his parents when he was 2 years old. The person who let him use the coat might come back.
-
Jade flew down and landed across from him "couldn't let you freeze to death out here" she said with a warm smile "you have a long life ahead of you"
-
Royal mouthed a thank you and stood up. He thrusted out the coat in his small hand like he was finished with it.
ooc: by the way, he never learned to talk.
-
((Thats alright))
Jade looked at him and smiled "cant speak? Thats alright I can read lips but would you like a place to stay for the night? Its not safe for you to be out here"
-
He tilted his head to the side. He bent down and in the dirt he drew a crown. He stood up an pointed to himself.
-
Jade looked down at the drawing "crown? Your Royalty?"
-
He shook his head no, but pointed at her mouth like she head something right. He nodded vigorously.
-
"Hmm Royal? Is that it?" Jade said
-
He jumped up and down, nodding. He suddenly ran over and hugged her tight. She was warm and she was nice, that was all he could think at the moment.
ooc: i have to go for a while...
-
Jade smiled and hugged him back, she liked this kid.
-
He backed away and made a roof-like thing with his hands over his head, and hugged himself and shivered. Then he thought for a moment and pointed to her. Then he pointed to the crown and shrugged his shoulders.
-
"Im Jade and come I got somewhere for us to stay" she said with a smile
-
He grinned at her understanding him so easily. He took her hand and nodded to let her know he was ready to go.
-
Jade smiled and walked out of the ally and down a street
-
Royal kept glancing at her, and at her wings. She was like him, but his wings were useless. No one have ever taught him to fly, nor speak for that matter. He was about as useless as his wings.
-
Jade arrived at a regular sized victorian home, it had a decent sized front yard and a round house porch "Here we are, lets get you inside and find you a room"
-
Royal nodded. He suddenly ran up, jumped in the air, and strained his wings to flap, but instead he crashed into the ground. He scraped his knee but he was even more upset about his wings. Tears began rolling down his face.
-
Jade ran over to him and hugged him "its alright flying is harder than it looks I'll teach you if you'd like"
