Head Bodyguards were meant to defend the Clan and keep the Bodyguards in line: Kendall wasn't even an apprentice. "Also, do you plan on promoting another Deputy?" She was rather curious on that one: it was what Sam was used to, even when she was first born within WindClan with Bluebell and Blacktwist as the Deputies, later changed to Blacktwist and Plasmaflare- both being her grandparents, oddly enough. Upon her return to WindClan it had been Wingstar and Shiftingallegiences as the Deputies: it was... an odd change for her.

Were they... serious? Promote him to Head Bodyguard? He couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement rush through his body and cause a sharp intake of breath, heart thumping. That was... that was so cool! To be considered for such a position, even if he didn't get it, was still very cool.

He also agreed on the whole eleven Bodyguards deal. That would be way too many. Maybe they could bump it down to three who had stayed around the most? Edward seemed pretty active, and he agreed on Levi, as well as maybe even Mountainpaw. Maybe they would listen to his input? Not that he had too much experience in the art of selecting capable high positions.

"Um... maybe Edward could be bumped up? I also agree with that Levi dude. Uh... maybe Mountainpaw, too. And... thanks for considering a promotion for me."

The last sentence was spoken in a much smaller, softer tone. Would they just not promote him right off the bat because he had heard about it? Would they dislike the fact that he had mentioned it? Would they hate him?

These thoughts made the male retreat back into his turtle shell, his cranium slowly becoming buried into his shoulders in passive stance, paws shuffling anxiously.

[size=7pt]"So-Sorry," Fleecepaw gasped, limping over as quickly as her body would allow her in its injured state- tardiness what not something she enjoyed and she was already angry enough with herself as it was- she loathed being late. She tried not to make a big deal out of it and drag herself into the limelight, instead quickly limping over to sit beside Sam and glancing up at the larger female before shuffling her paws under her sore ribs and dragging in a pained breath, trying to remember what exactly what had been discussed. Oh- promotions, demotions. That stuff, she was more educated on, rather than say alliances- it was supposed to be in her field of work now as a bodyguard, but she wasn't as good as focusing on healing and politics as Sam and Harborpaw were. She shook her head to clear it.

"I- I was th-thinking maybe Dan sh... should be removed from... the m-medic team." Her fleeting gaze was cast upon the Adviser momentarily with apology in its depths, she was afraid of offending him of course but she felt that it was important to go over, unless she was to discuss that only with Cloudhouse and Sam... but it was too late now, she had opened her stupid mouth and now it was falling out like jacks. "I j-just haven't seen y-you in many medic... meetings. H-Healing at all... really. No of-ffense of course." She quickly swallowed back the lump in her throat, damn her for speaking like that- she was, after all, just a bodyguard and a medic intern, so her opinion likely wasn't very valid, but... oh well. Too late now.

Sam inquired, flicking her gaze off of those that had spoken up for her and Jonathan after offering a grateful (and surprised) smile toward them to rest on Wingstar instead. Sam found that things had actually moved smoother with two deputies, but she was not going to sit and bicker over such a fickle matter. "Perhaps... Levi, Bloomingskies, Sans, and Chartedpaw?" The lioness offered, flicking her gaze around. "With Kendall and Kane promoted to Head Bodyguard that'd cut the bodyguard amount down to a more reasonable seven." She offered. Sam wasn't entirely sure how to explain her thoughts on this one, and she was even more tentative doing it knowing she might say something more abrasively than she intended. "If the "max" amount of high positions is reached and nobody is promoted, meetings become less frequent: meetings draw newcomers in, for one. Not to mention the Clan then becomes... stagant. Nobody will bother to stick around because they feel relatively meaningless- there's nothing to work towards. Promotions are a great encouragement as well as acknowledgement toward others that they are being seen around and their activities do amount to something." Sam paused, pursing her lips slightly. She was unsure on how to summarize what she had gone off on a tangent for, frankly. "... We promote those that deserve it, we don't promote because we need to." For the medic topic, Sam would remain silent: it felt rather unfair of her to discuss what might become of Cloudhouse when she worked with him, even if she worked above him as well.
