    " I know. But I don't think I can love her back... Not because she's a skinwalker but because she lied to me. " Drakon said " She knows I hate lies. "

    "She did it to protect you. That pack's been attacking her for years, and everytime she's found a way to lead them away from you. Lithia just wanted things to stay as they were, even though she knew it wasn't possible."

    Drakon stood there for a moment taking that in. Then he scoffed " Don't patronize me. " He said with a growl before he went back inside.

    Drakon walked up to her and sat next to her " I'm sorry. "

    " For being mean to you. " Drakon said " I realized that I was wrong and that you only did it to protect me. "

    " Well they did. " Drakon said " And its alright. " He gave a smile, obviously faking it " And I still want you as my partner. "

    "No, its not alright, and you know that Drakon. I thought about leaving you while you were asleep. I thought about just running away and taking my problems with me, but I know it won't work that way. That pack would go after you, just because of me." She was tearing up and hugged him. "It's all my fault."

    " Don't talk. " Drakon said hugging her back " Just calm down. " he cooed rubbing her back.

    Lithia cried into his chest for a bit before calming down a bit. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't let my emotions get the best of me...."

    " Its alright. " Drakon reassured her " You've been through a lot. " he smiled at her

    Lithia smiled and hugged him briefly before Colleen walked in. "Sorry to interrupt, but we should get going." She said and Lithia nodded, shifting into her doberman form and looking at Drakon before walking out.

    "Before we keep going, you should have this..." Colleen said and pulled out the crystal necklace before putting it around Lithia's neck. The necklace seemed to blur slightly before it transformed into a black leather collar adorned with shining crystals. "Shapeshifter magic." Colleen explained to Drakon before the two kept walking.

    After a bit of walking, they came to a denser, darker part of forest. Lithia stopped suddenly, her ears sticking straight up as she looked towards the side. Colleen stopped as well and was as silent as possible. The two skinwalkers went in opposite directions before Colleen suddenly barked and surged forward. A startled deer showed itself in the brush and ran away, towards Lithia. She lunged at the deer and bit through it's neck, falling onto the animal as it died.
    Colleen walked up to her and seemed to smile as Lithia pulled away and licked her lips. "I've missed that taste. Dog food is horrible." Lithia said.

    Drakon only watched them withouy consideration. He then sat down and tinkered with his gauntlets again.
