Marcus lunged at her, grabbing her and pulling her against his body and prepared to feed off of her, but the guard rammed him from the side knocking her away from him and pinning Marcus against the wall, driving a small blade into his stomach. Marcus screamed, thrashing around.

'' Your dumb! Don't you see how he is now? This is how the king wants him. It makes him a monster. At this point, he will kill you, part vampire or not!!''

"Why drive him to the point of being a monster? Why make him something he isn't? It's nothing but cruel. There is nothing good that can come about such actions. At the very least you can pull him off after he has had enough to keep him sane." She tugged at her hair. She hated seeing him so different, and she said was ready to give herself up to have him back to the way he was supposed to be, the way she had known him to be.

'' We are not feeding him.''

He glared down at Marcus as he slumped to the ground, seeming to lose all the energy in his body. His dull eyes, seeming just as pale as his skin now and he looked like he was in a lot of pain

Her fingers curled into a fist, and she took two large gulps of the wine. "You must be the only monster here." She mumbled, her eyes glinting at the guard.

'' You do realize I have no choice right? I don't want to get killed!!'' He snapped at her, growled. He moved to bottle of wine and pored himself another glass

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 8pt; color: white;]
"So what? You're life suddenly matters more than his? A death is the same for everyone. Everyone is equal in death, it doesn't matter if you are a half-breed, a king's guard, or a 'princess'. You're dead. You're death is no more significant or insignificant it is so don't act like it." Her eyes were empty, her face now expressionless as her muscles uncoiled into relaxation.

  • The man sighed softly,'' I know. I know death is. But it doesn't mean I won't fear it any less. No one will remember me. But maybe if I do this, I'll be remember. Maybe I'll be able to go home and see my mum.'' He took a few more sips of his wine

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 8pt; color: white;]
"If you are remembered, it wouldn't be in a good way." She couldn't help but to feel sympathy towards the man at the mention of his mother. It felt as though she hadn't seen her own in so long, and she hadn't. Her mother had passed on long ago. October's reach stretched forward to rest her small, fair-skinned hand on his neck, in the process standing to her feet. "I miss my mother too.." She said quietly, her gaze lowering and a small smile forming on her lips at the memory of the woman.

" My mother is mentally sick. But The High King found out and said she was unfit to live among people. So he took her and looked her away. He told me I could have her back if I served him will, so I've been trying." He mumbled softly, staring down at the wine in his glass. His body tensed up when her hand made contact his skin, making his red coloured eyes look over at her

"I'm sorry, that's really unfortunate.." She replied, after feeling his now tensed muscles she removed her hand and sank back to the seat at the center of the couch.

[sup]" What about you? What about your mother?" He asked her, what ing her with curious eyes/sup]

"Ah, yes.." Her thumb smoothed across the rim of the glass, "she.. I don't know. She just faded away.." October couldn't remember he mother in the recent years, at some point she had vanished from her memory. It was possible that she had chosen to block this out, and forget some awful event that occurred within the recent years, but most of the time she chose to ignore this and reminisce in the memories she had of her dignified, gentle mother.

'' That must have been very hard for you. I mean losing someone close to you then meeting your other parent and seeing what a dick he is. I'm sorry you have to go through this.'' He glanced at October, his red eyes gentle now, almost sympathetic. He reached over and grabbed the wine bottle and offered her some more, a very small smile on his face

"Yeah.. It wasn't the easiest experience.." She said, lifting the glass in his direction to be filled. With her free hand she rubbed uncomfortably against the scars from where Marcus has bitten her on a number of occasions.

" Why do you allow him to use you like that? Draining you of your blood when ever he wants? That makes you look like a slave to him." Hesaid , poring the woman another glass

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 8pt; color: white;]
"It may be pity, but I've come to truely care about him. I regenerate soon after either way, it isn't much of a bother as long as he's fine. Most of the time he refuses to feed and I have to force him to to keep him moving." She shrugged and took a sip from the glass. "When the outcomes are weighed I find it more important for him to be healthy, and it makes me happy to see him that way."

  • [justify][fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 300px;]
" Why doesn't he feed on his own?" He frowned, taking a sip of his drink again, finding it odd that the beast who was out cold across the room from him was refusing to feed

"Really I'm not too sure." She replied with a shrug.

    //sorry short

The male nodded slowly, glancing at the clock on the wall.
" You should probably get to bed. We have a long trip ahead of us tomorrow. If youd like you can have the couch if youd want."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; size: 8pt; color: white;]
"Ah.. Okay." She began to extend her body across the length of the couch. "If we have a similar sleeping situation tomorrow then you get the couch." She mumbled through her realized exhaustion.
