    In the beginning of time only the strong survived. The lands below were infected by beasts of all species. The seas were swimming with monsters of the deep. It was kill or be killed in this flourishing world. The only place that had yet to be touched by so many creatures was the sky. As endless as your imagination and ruled by the mightiest beings that ever lived: Dragons.
    Humans were a simple in existence back then and often hunted by the higher ups of the food chain. That is, until they evolved. As I said before, only the strong live on and humans proved just that. They adapted to the environment, their minds ever changing with ideas and they grew in numbers. Unlike most other species, the Dragons were wise, they recognized the humans as an intelligent species with the potential to possibly destroy the fearsome reptiles. With their technology advancing and their single thunderous city prospering, the Dragons made their move. Instead of showing themselves as a threat to mankind, they did the opposite. They formed a pact with man, to aid each other and join as one.
    The young race of mankind accepted. The Dragons were to keep the humans in check, to make sure that with their greediness wouldn't corrupt the world. In turn, the Dragons would protect humans from the most menacing threats.
    Thus, the Dragon riders were created. Acting as a medium between the two species, they linked them together. You are of the first riders ever.

    The first of the riders became known as the Squadron of the Sun, or simply the Sun Squadron. As the beginning of a new generation, you must lead by example. Those chosen for representing the bond between the two most dignified species are the most courageous and adept at what they do. Now, like all others, they must attend some form of schooling. That is where West Winds Academy comes into play. You will become at student at the Academy and learn standard knowledge required for all. Your class will be made up of only your fellow riders. On the side you will bond with Dragons, being the earliest of you kind it is your duty as one of the Squadron to uphold reputation and document the ways of Dragons.
    As the Squadron of the Sun, you are expected to play two major roles. One, protect mankind from outside threats. Two, inspire a connection between the two species by preforming something called 'exhibition'. Exhibition is when the Squadron executes a flying demonstration of sorts for the public.
    Within the squad you hold a position. Each position has a certain use and each position is used both for exhibition and the formation you ride in during battle.
