  • [glow=red,2,300]Plot:[/glow]
The kingdoms of Alabast and Kerkin have been enemies for centuries. Recently, a war has threatened to break out, but the fight has only just begun. One spy from Alabast, Karmin, is a girl in disguise who is trying to be very loyal an help her kingdom win the war to come, before too much blood is spilt. She is already in Kerkin and is hiding in an abandoned mill.
She is very skilled, much like a ninja. Her codename is Shadow which she has also taken as her name in the Alabast army.

Your character is a soldier for the kingdom of Kerkin. Recently patrols along the bordering villages have been increasing and random house checks are made to catch any spies. Karmin will be found in one of these house checks that you do.

    Everything else is improvisation.
This thread will be private once someone joins. Advanced/Semi-advance rper please?

    Onto RPing!

Karmin closed the door to the mill. The sun was starting to rise and she wasn't going to be caught outside with nowhere to hide. There was a reason the other ninjas and the rest of the army called her Shadow; even though she had tricked them into thinking she was a young man. She could hide and stalk through the night as well as the best. No... She was the best at it.
She gave a smug smile. Though night living had its advantages, she still needed to sleep. And with the moon being her new sun, that meant sleeping during the day.
She nestled down onto some old straw in the corner. Karmin slipped out a couple of blades from her sleeves before dozing off.

  • Adrian padded along the overgrown path to the mill, sighing softly. Though they claimed it was random, he had a feeling the army used recon reports to pick the random houses. He paused at the door, reconsidering, before pounding on it with his fist.

  • Karmin was jolted from her dozing. She swore under her breath and quickly grabbed her larger sweater to hid the fact that she was a girl. A bit of rustling was evident probably from that and she quietly grabbed onto a beam and pulled herself up into the shadows of the rafters. He muscles were already sore from the all night roaming she had been doing.
She backed into the shadows to wait it out.

  • Adrian pounded on the heavy wooden door again, preparing to break it down. "I'll break it down if I have to!" He called, taking a step back.

  • Karmin stayed absolutely still. She had known that the soldiers were checking places for spies like her. She swore in her head. She should have left for another village long before now.
She watched the man intently. She had always seen the soldiers from her hiding places but upfront seemed more powerful. That scaried her.
She watched to see what he would do.

  • After a few seconds of silence, Adrian took half a dozen steps back, then started at a run. When the time was right, he turned slightly, and barrelled into the door with his shoulder. Unsurprisingly, the door stayed closed, and he bounced off with a curse.

  • Karmin couldn't help but let out one snort of amusement. Okay, so maybe this particular soldier wasn't so terrifying. That didn't mean that she couldn't be caught and or killed. She stayed in the rafter shadows.

  • Adrian hit it again, and this time the door broke open. Then he looked around, kicking around at the piles as he searched the shadows. Then, finding nothing, he looked up.

  • Karmin stayed absolutely still as she saw him look straight up into the shadows where she was hiding. Don't. Move. She hoped that he wouldn't see her.

  • He jumped up, knowing that he had to get higher for his eyes to adjust again. "If there's anyone here, they won't be hurt if they come out now."

  • Sh*t, Karmin thought and jumped to another rafter. She ran to the broken window, keeping her balance on the beam, trying to get away.

  • Hearing running footsteps, Adrian looked up, watching for a shadow within a shadow. "Who's there?"

  • Karmin jumped out the window with a crash. As she fell down to the ground outside, she felt the broken glass slice down her back. She grunted and held back the painful cry as she landed and started running.

  • He jumped down and hurried to the door, looking around for a running person. When he spotted one, he started after him, hoping this was the person he needed.

  • Karmin looked backwards and tried to speed up. Her back cut was slowing her down. She gasped and panted as she pushed herself to lose him

  • He followed, noticing the boy was bleeding. The soldier was used to running a few miles a day, so this wasn't any harder for him.

  • Karmin rounded a bend and ran face first into a dead end. She fell on her rump and rubbed her forehead. She stood back up and turned to fight. She reached into her sleeves...
Darn! How could she have forgotten. Her blades were gone, left in the staw in the barn.

  • Adrian rounded the corner, stopping when he saw the dead end. "Why did you run? Only guilty people run."

  • Karmin looked at him and stood straight, despite the pain it caused her. She wore no emblem of Alabast or its army thankfully. But she couldn't have him take her in willingly. They could blow her cover.
So instead, she did what any young theif would do to authority. She spat at his feet.

  • That earned her a slap, or at least that was what Adrian attempted to do. "Show some respect for authority, boy."
