Kyle woken up a few hours after Ellie did, he opened his eyes and yawned quietly. Kylo looked at Ellie and smiled, seeing that she was still asleep. He decided not to move so she could continue to rest
(when should we make the thread?)
Ellie squirmed slightly and opened her eyes. They traveled up to Kylo and she smiled at him."Morning." Ellie greeted nicely.
((I'd say on the next few days or so, since I'm busy atm and want to be able to be involved in it's creation and stuff.))
Kyle smiled at Ellie "good morning, how are you feeling?" he said
(alright sounds good)
Ellie layed her head back on his chest and stared listlessly ahead. "Still a little feverish, but the pain has reduced tremendously. I think I'll be good in a few days." Ellie replied hopefully. "I'm sure you need to get back to work though and I'd hate to hold you back." Continuing as her index finger trailed lightly along his abdomen in little circles. The man's skin was warm and soft and it made her happy to be this close to him.
Kylo nodded "that's good, you just relax while I'm gone, I'll check on you every chance I get" he said as she trailed her finger on his abdomen. He sighed and gently moved out from under her "don't make too much noise, storm troopers might think you're snooping around in my room" he said before putting his helmet on and grabbing his lightsaber
Ellie nodded and watched as he left. She then situated herself under the blankets once more to sleep. It was sometime in the middle of the day that she woke up again and got up. Ellie padded into the fresher unit and stood in front of the mirror; eyeing the bandaged covering her wound. Still too wary of taking them off, she exited Kylo's room to go find food. By now she knew her way around and grabbed a few items from the cafeteria. Kylo was nowhere in sight, and she figured he might need something to eat. It was lunchtime after all. Stealing an apple, Ellie exited the cafeteria after eating and made it to Kylo's office. She knocked lightly hoping he would answer.
Kylo had been discussing ways to crush the rebel resistance on the planet below with captain Phasma. A stormtrooper who had been standing guard at the door looked at Ellie "if you're looking for Kylo, he's busy at the moment" he said as she knocked. Kylo had sensed Ellie's presence before she had knocked on the door "we can discuss this later, for now just send a recon team to the planet" he said before dismissing the captain. A few moments after Ellie had knocked on the door, it opened and captain Phasma exited the room, and the storm trooper followed. Kylo looked at Ellie "come in" he said
Ellie said nothing in response to the storm trooper. She didn't like taking orders from them, but it wasn't like she could pull the 'but I'm with Kylo' card. Standing rigid in front of the door, she refused to leave until she made sure he was fed. It seemed a little childish in hidsight to Ellie, but she reassured herself that there was no crime in being thoughtful. Backing up to make room for the men exiting her Master's office, the woman watched them go; making sure not to do anything until they were out of sight. Turning to face the man ushering her in, Ellie smiled faintly and stepped inside. She looked around at the large office and produced the apple from her palm. "Hungry?" She inquired; offering the fruit to Kylo.
Kylo took the helmet off as he locked the door "yes, thank you Ellie" he said before taking the Apple. He took a bite out of it and sat down "are you sure you're well enough to walk around?" he said
As Kylo sat down and accepted the apple, Ellie felt satisfied with her work. Sitting as well, she listened to him speak without wavering her attention. She loved looking at him. Leaning her elbow on the desk beside her, she rested her head in her palm. "Yeah, I'll be okay. Looked at the bandages this morning, but didn't see the wound. Right now I feel well enough to walk, but training will have to wait." The woman replied as she averted her gaze in disappointment. She really wanted to get back to training to show that she wasn't going to let accidents like getting shot happen again. In Ellie's mind, the blame fell on her whether she tried to reason with herself or not.
Kylo nodded and took another bite "don't be disappointed, you weren't ready for the mission. Just take your time and tell me when you're ready" he said
Ellie shifted to fold her hands in her lap and nod faintly in response. Her gaze wandered about the dimly-lit room. Despite being in a mostly metal ship, she found Kylo's office surprisingly warm and cozy. "I wish I could heal myself. Force knows I'd do anything to be back on my feet and training." Ellie mentioned with a whimsical longing. If there was one thing she hated in this world that topped many things, it was being weak. Or feeling weak for that matter. Ellie was an active person, and being cooped up and confined to a few select rooms and limited movements was torture. "But--I respect your advice. It's probably best to rest until I feel up to it." A moment passed and then Ellie stood up. "I should go. You're probably busy.
Kylo nodded "you'll be ready to continue soon." he said before standing up. He unlocked the door and put his helmet back on "I'll be back soon" he said
Ellie sighed and nodded in response. She then stood up after he'd left and looked around the room. Various items were placed on his desk, and other work-related things she didn't quite understand scattered the room. It was cozy, but lonely without him here. Finding nothing that interested her anymore, Ellie decided to go back to her room. Once there, she closed the door behind her and stepped int the 'fresher. With careful effort she slipped out of her clothes and attempted to unwrap the bandages to avoid getting them wet in the shower. One hand reached past the curtain and wrapped around a simple dial that adjusted the water. Setting it to hot, Ellie then waited. Once knowing the temperature to be satisfactory, she stepped under the continuous flow.
Her lithe hands ran along her body being careful not to irritate the wound. As red-tinted water would flow into the punctured metal drain at the base of the shower, Ellie looked down. The wound seemed more minimal now, except for the obvious raised site around the initial shot that bore deep into her side; above the right hip bone and near the sensitive internal digestive organs. Slowly she ran a few fingers over it noticing that pain was increased with direct touch. Gasping slightly and snapping her hand away, the woman decided to avoid the area until it was properly healed. Truthfully she hadn't meant to cause it to reopen as much as it just had. Though it wasn't much, it was enough to bleed. The doctors never gave her a warning not to shower, and it probably wouldn't have gotten the way it was now if she hadn't gotten up and walked around. /That's what you get, Ellie!/ She thought bitterly as she stepped from the shower and did the best she could to re-wrap the injury and get dressed into fresh clothes.
After a few hours of work Kylo exited the office and looked around the hallway. He sighed and made his way to the cafeteria. Once there he would make himself a tray and head back to his room. Kylo set the tray of food on the counter and activated a holo gram given to him by his captain, it depicted the entire layout of the rebel outpost below. Kylo studied it carefully, getting to know the base. He sighed and decided that he would have to deal with the rebels first hand after studying the defences.
Ellie got dressed gingerly as to avoid the affected area, and once prepared, she tied her damp hair and and stood in front of one of her mirrors. /Good enough./ She thought to herself with a sigh. Exiting the room and advancing down the corridor, the woman easily found her way to the library. It was a short trip and she found herself facing a rather large hall of books and holograms and devices that were filled to the brim with anything she needed to know. It wouldn't hurt to occupy herself with something beneficial, after all. Slowly she walked down one of the rows of shelves lined with various data pads; her fingers dancing along their edges as if tapping the right one would bring her everything she needed to know. Not particularly looking for one thing, she settled on a volume about the planets currently housing rebel bases nearby. Many popped up and Ellie chose the first one that appealed to her. This one happened to be the one where her mission had gone wrong. Minutes passed of her scrolling around the sphere on a holographic display to locate the best places of attack. Ellie assumed that the reason she'd gotten hurt was because they'd practically landed in the heart of the base itself. No wonder there were so many prepared to fight! If Kylo and she wanted to try again, they could just land far off from the base and set up camp. They could easily just sleep there one night and get up early before the sun rises. Afterwards that could launch an attack on unsuspecting rebels and the mission would be much more successful. Ellie was just buzzing with the new idea. She promptly gathered up the data pad and made it to Kylo's room. There the woman knocked on the door hoping to get a nice response.
Kylo shut the hologram off when he heard the knock, sensing Ellie at the door he turned around and waved his hand slightly, opening the door. "Hello Ellie, shouldn't you be resting?" he said calmly.
Ellie was too excited about her recent discoveries to sleep, and she simply didn't feel tired. Producing the data pad from her hands she brought up the image of the rebel planet they'd visited on their mission. "I found something." She replied, ignoring his comment about her rest.
He nodded and walked closer "alright, explain your findings" he said
"I was looking around on this graphic display--"She pauses to tap a few buttons and the 3D hologram of the planet comes into view. "The rebel base is filled with troops, and I think the reason we went down so quickly is because we landed right in the heart. If we camp out for a night there and strike in the early morning, we can bring down their guards and wipe out most of them. Once the others realize, we can already be on our way back to the ship." A proud smile was beaming on her face as she showed him her findings.
