[glow=red,2,300]"Of course," Master Varathorn responded, "Show me what you have and tell me what you need and I'll see if we can strike up a deal here."[/glow]

[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda smiled, removed the daggers from her back, and opened her pack. The rogue looked over her things, lifted up her daggers. They were rather dull, and, though they could be sharpened easily, the material wasn't piercing the darkspawn armor as she had intended. "Do you have any daggers here?" she asked. "Mine don't work proficiently against darkspawn armor."[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]Varathorn looked over her daggers, eyes narowing a bit as he brought them closer to his face to see better. He nodded a bit and said, "Sharpened, these could make good hunting knives for the clan... a fair trade can be made for these, and I do have wonderfully made daggers I can give you in exchange. Either way, I'll still have this old pair sharpened."
He set the dagger down and turned around, looking at the chests on the back, looking them over until he saw the one he wanted. He opened it, and inside, Andromeda could see many finely crafted, unique daggers, each with only one other the same. The pairs were tied together with thick pieces of leather. He put on a pair of gloves to protect his hands as he sorted through the perfectly sharpened pairs, picking one up and examining it before turning to her, looking at her then the daggers. He looked at the fine details carved into the blade, the material it was made from, the handle, then shook his head, putting that pair back and sorting through once more. He did this many more times before he took out a pair, did the same thing, and smiled. He brought the pair over to her, untying the leather strips from the daggers.
"I think these will be best. Lightweight, but extremely sharp. The material is strong, and should last you a very long time. A fair trade for something that will help my clan greatly," Master Varathron said, taking her old daggers and tapping his apprentice on the shoulder. "Sharpen these, lad," He told him, to which he got a nod in response.
The Master Varathorn returned to Andromeda and asked, "What do you think?"
The daggers were a sparkling silver (although most likely not made of silver), extremely sharp and never used. They had beautiful swirls lovingly etched into the surface of the daggers, the swirls creating horses in the designs, as well as halla and some other animals. The handles were easy the grip but soft, like the leather had been roughed up a bit specifically to be soft. It was sturdy, though, and would most definitely last a long time. [/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda looked over the daggers and their exquisite design. "Wow... These are amazing." she said in awe. "Thank you. These should definitely help." The rogue put the daggers in her pack. She would untie them and put them on her back later. She then looked to Master Varathorn again.
"Alright... Would you happen to have any sort of food or bandages up for trade? Maybe herbs?" Andromeda asked next. If they were going to fight werewolves, they would need some healing components for after the battle. They would also need food for their travels.[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]"I'm afraid that we can't give up at the moment. We must tend to our wounded, and we have little food. The hunters aren't permitted into the forest until the threat of attack has lowered or disappeared, so what food we have now is all we have for ourselves," Master Varathorn said, "If I had some to spare, I would certainly trade it, but we can't."[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]"Oh, sorry." Andromeda replied. "I suppose that is true..." The rogue now felt bad for asking for such a thing. She should have realized that they were much more in need than her little party. She looked around for a moment more at what Varathorn had to offer. Just as she was about to turn an leave, a sparkle caught her eye. A small comb sat on a table. It looked to be made of some sort of wood, but sparkled in the sunlight coming through the canopy of leaves above. "What about that? What do you want for that?" she asked curiously.[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]"It's quite alright. You and your group seem to have a long journey ahead, and those would be things you need. Sadly, we cannot spare any," Master Varathorn replied.
He was about to get back to work when she spoke. He looked to the comb and picked it up, looking it over. He had to look closely before he could tell who it belonged to, if anyone at all. Fortunately, it wasn't the one he'd been thinking of. Just another one he had made on the off chance someone would want it. He looked at Sparrow and said, "That depends on what you have to offer for it."[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda opened her bag and rummaged on the inside, not sure what she would be able to trade for it. Upon looking further into her pack, she found that she still had some herbs from her home estate's garden in Denerim. They were very common, so she thought that she could pick up more in the forest.
The rogue pulled out the herbs. "I have these herbs. They were from my home in Denerim. My mother used to use them to help ease the pain of cuts and other injuries. I could always find more in the forest, and I think you and your clan will need them more than I." she said. Andromeda was offering a great abundance of the herbs. Probably more than what the small comb was even worth. But she felt the need to help this Dalish clan in whatever way she could.[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]Master Varathorn looked quite amazed to see the herbs there, in front of him, in such a large abundance. "There is no way a reasonable man could turn these down in a time such as thing. It is yours," He told her, taking the herbs from her and handing her the comb. [/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda took the comb and smiled. "Thank you. Good day to you." she said before returning to the group. "I talked to Master Varathorn," she began, "and he didn't have very much supplies to spare. They need their health potions and herbs. Especially in times like these. There were none to spare." The rogue had put away the comb in a small pocket in her pack and pulled out her new daggers, untying the leather bonds. She then strapped them upon her back, ready for battle.[/glow][/justify]

[glow=darkgreen,2,300]Bandon turned to her and nodded a bit when she spoke, Lanaya looking over his shoulder at her. She didn't say anything, though her look was pointed, as if to say to leave them be without words.
"Where is Maeron? He walked off but didn't return; you saw him, yes?" Bandon asked with a worried tone to his voice, "I would look for him myself but I fear I've angered him... I don't want to leave camp without him at my side."[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]"No, I haven't seen him. But..." Andromeda trailed off when she noticed the other elf's glare. The rogue became at a loss of words and became rather submissive, her proud shoulders dropping. A sudden and overwhelming feeling of being unwelcome washed over her. Andromeda avoided the other elf's gaze by looking at the ground. "I'll leave you two now. Maybe I can find him." she said quietly before leaving.[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=darkgreen,2,300]Bandon seemed confused when Andromeda's posture went from proud to afraid, and he put a hand on her shoulder gently as he asked, "Are... are you ok?"
When she simply said she'd go look for Maeron, he was even more confused. Was she trying to avoid him?Was she upset about something he did, or...
He turned to Lanaya questioningly, but she only shrugged her shoulders. He sighed and looked over his shoulder at her as she walked away, letting a feeling of guilt settle over him. He continued his conversation with Lanaya continue halfheartedly, responding with only short sentences.[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]Maeron was a little bit out of the clan, in the forest. He could still be seen, but he and his halla, who had followed him there, were staying outside of the unfamiliar clan. Sure, the clan did feel homey to him, but he didn't want to be around Bandon and that girl. For some reason, he just couldn't be. He was leaning on a tree, twisting his dagger around in his hand. Senna was next to him, nibbling on some grass next to where Maeron was standing.[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Upon spotting Maeron, Andromeda walked slowly over to him. "There you are, Maeron," she said. "We were looking for you." The rogue's voice seemed a little distant compared to how she usually sounded. "Let me take a guess to why you're all the way out here instead of with Bandon... It's that Lanaya girl isn't it?" she asked. Andromeda sighed. "And I thought I had already felt unwelcome enough. She glared at me so hard that I felt like her eyes would cut right through my armor."[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]"In part, I suppose," Maeron huffed, looking at the dirt path, "I just... I don't know why I hate him talking to her so much."
He ran a hand through his hair, his gaze moving from the dirt to the sky, which was almost unable to be seen through all the trees. He felt guilt for just storming off that way, the look he knew Bandon must have had on his face. He wondered if he'd made him feel guilty for talking to someone he knew simply by walking away. He wondered if he was hurt by the thought he might be angry at him. That just made him feel more guilt, so he pushed the thoughts from his mind.
"Foolish, I think, for me to act like that," He sighed, "Saying thing bitterly and walking off without letting him know it's not him I'm mad at. Lanaya seem like she'd nice but she... she does feel something for him and for some reason I don't want her to..."[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda gave Maeron a sympathetic smile. "I think I might know why. It's a little more than obvious to me, but I didn't know you were so oblivious to it." she said. "Don't you see it Maeron? You love him. I don't mean like a friend, although you do. I mean in the sense that you two could become a couple. Be in a relationship. The bond you two share is unlike anything I've ever seen or experienced before in my life."[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]Maeron's face flushed bright red at what she said, and he tensed just a bit. "N-no I... no, I don't feel that way about him it's just... we're friends and I don't want anything more," He stuttered, his voice even wavering a bit, "He's my best friend, that's all... a-and I haven't seen him for years and he just showed up again I... I just want to talk with him, that's all..."
He twisted his dagger between his hands, simply spinning it around so his hands had something to do. Maeron didn't really know how else to respond. He was always afraid of those kinds of feelings, especially after the last person he dared open his heart to romantically was killed by a stupid accident with a possessed mirror. He didn't want the same thing to happened... not again. The flirting was just for fun, he'd never meant it... right?
Now he was just confused on how he felt. The elf looked at his dagger, say his face reflected in it's perfectly clean surface, and sighed. He'd just... keep avoiding Bandon for now. Yeah, that seemed like the most reasonable option. Just stay away from him and it will go away. He won't get hurt, he won't die, he won't end up like Tamlen, as long as he stayed away from him for a while and let the feelings fade. Perfect. Great plan.[/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]"Well, maybe I'm wrong." Andromeda said. "But I do know that you and him are best friends. No matter how much time you've spent apart. Lanaya probably just makes you jealous that she is good friends with him too, yeah?" The rogue crossed her arms and let out a sigh. "We should probably get going soon. The sooner we deal with these werewolves, the sooner we can get enforce the treaties with the Dalish. Besides, it'll be something to occupy your mind."[/glow][/justify]
-
[glow=red,2,300]"I..." Part of him said no, which frightened him a little, "Yes, that must be it..."
He looked over to the camp, then his halla. "Yes, we should. I... I'll go find Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, and Sten. You get Bandon," The elf declared, guiding Senna off before she could protest. Anyone but Bandon... let him stay away from Bandon for a while. Set things straight in his head. [/glow]
-
[justify][glow=purple,2,300]Andromeda nodded and watched Maeron walk off. Once he was gone, she let out a sigh. The rogue was not looking forward to seeing Lanaya's venomous glare. If worse came to worst she would punch the glare right off the elf's face, although that probably wouldn't sit too well with the clan. Still, Andromeda couldn't deny that the thought had crossed her mind.
The rogue then set off to find Bandon like Maeron had requested. She walked around the camp, her eyes darting from face to face. She felt awkward, being the only human she could see. She felt out of place. Thankfully, Andromeda finally spotted Bandon among the other elves. She made a beeline towards him, not wanting to be alone any longer. "Hey, Bandon." she began. "We're going to get going soon."[/glow][/justify]
