Lizzie approached and grinned. "Appearances aren't everything, Cap. When I know it's the right moment to be ruthless, you can rely on the fact that I don't be merciful." Lizzie laughed softly. "I'm only gentle towards my family. If there is anything that threatens them, trust that I'm not afraid to give them what they deserve. Plus, sometimes, all you need is a bit of thinking. I don't want people to hate me because I seem weak. It's simply a way to make people think about me. Basically catches them off-guard when they see me actually fight." Lizzie shrugged and removed the hat from her own head, shaking the short amount of hair that sat there.

Adeline nodded slightly,"Ye are quite right my dear. I just wanted to be sure ye were aware. I'd hate for ye to get attached to the ship without knowing what happens in most ports." The woman adjust her own hat and shifted her feet,"We leave for sea at dusk, so say goodbye to whoever eye care for before then, and grab whatever belongings ye've got; we won't be coming back here for plenty years."

Lizzie nodded and took a few breaths. "Then I'll be right back. Might as well grab some of my stuff while I've got the time." Lizze smiled and followed her footsteps back up the stairs and over the railing to land on the dock. She then broke into a run back to where she lived to grab multiple things she needed. Which included some more clothing, blades, and another belt the would cross over the one she already wore to carry more swords. Which was really only one more and some smaller blades. After returning to the ship, she headed back to where the captain had motioned her bed was at, and shoved the clothes under the bed. She sat on the bed and heaved a sigh, crossing her arms behind her head and leaning back.

Adeline had followed Lizzy out of the barracks and quickly found herself in the binnacle of the ship, watching the compass on the table in the center of the room, it's arrow only moving a few millimeters back and forth now and then, as the ship rocked as well.
"I heard you lost yet another duel,"a voice nearly startled to woman, but she quickly looked up to meet the gaze of the man who entered. It was Silas, the only one she regretted allowing aboard her ship. He seemed to like to tease the life out of anyone shorter than him, usually driving away whatever cabin boy the ship had at a given time. He was the most recent one besides Elizabeth to beat the captain in a fight, and he seemed to like reveling in it.
"Aye,"Adeline confirmed without shame,"and she has skill. She's better than most I've seen."

Lizzie, who by now had dug around in her stuff until finding an old sketchpad, thumbing through the pages that were filled with fictional monsters. Each body part of each monster was labelled and drawn with great detail. As soon as the female found the blank page, she untucked a pencil and began to make a few stray marks around to outline what the inside of the ship looked like. Once she was satisfied with the marks, she began to outline them darker and adding more detail to each plank of wood to make them look slightly worn. Occasionally Lizzie would bite the end of her pencil in a thinking motion to determine which mark she would elegantly draw onto the paper next.

Silas smirked, and leaned against the table, causing it to creak and groan under his weight,"I heard from Ares she's nothing but a tiny thing, but she must be good I suppose."he ran a hand through his dark hair, which very obviously smelled of ocean wind.
"Get yer ass off the table,"Adeline finally grumbled and swatted at the back of his hand, winning herself a furious glare, as if she were a lowly peasant who met the shadow of her king. But that wasn't the case, and Silas was just an oaf entirely full of himself. There seemed to be a heavy tension suddenly hanging in the air, both of their dark eyes locking for what seemed like years, and Adeline had half a mind to draw her blade and hack off one of his fingers; wouldn't be the first blood spilled over the compass. But Silas rose before her kettle overflowed, and gave her a nod and walked out.

Elizabeth Monro
Lizzie smiled softly and brushed off the eraser marks once she was satisfied with the drawing. She tucked the pencil in the sketchbook and closed it, setting it under her bed. She stood up and stretched her arms in the air. After wondering a bit, she saw a too proud male walking out from what seemed like where the captain was. Lizzie decided to slide in. "I'm guessing that guy isn't exactly your favorite?" She asked, knocking before speaking on one of the wooden planks on the wall.

Sensing another presence, Adeline half expected Silas to be back, so she was pleasantly surprised to see Lizzy there instead,"Aye,"she sighed as she drew up a chair, sitting in it with weak posture,"I regret even takin' 'em on; he seems to be in the crew's favor, least the ones bigger than him. Ye should see how he treats the cabin boys, like they're vermin I tell ye. Bastard's lucky he knows rigging, or I'd have keelhauled him ages ago, and left him halfway under the ship."

Elizabeth Monro
"I see," Lizzie said softly, leaning against the wall. "Well, I don't know much to say cause I really met him but, if you ask me. Didn't you ask if I was going to be able to handle the hard life of living on the ship? If you think about it, he treats them that way because he cares about them. Hard to understand I'm sure but, like, so they won't be so soft whenever there's actually something to be afraid about. Actually now that I think about it I sound really dumb," Lizzie laughed softly, scratching the back of her head.

Adeline sighed once again and placed her hat on the table, running a hand through her hair. "I get where yer comin' from, however, there's quite a big difference between being cruel to to yer crew, and being cruel to the land lubbers. Personally, I think he's just compensating,"she smirked slightly and kicked up her feet on the table,"But anyone on this ship, whether it be prisoners, stowaways, or crew members, got here because of some respectable amount of skill, and deserves to be treated accordingly. He doesn't seem to get that; he ain't even allowed on dungeon watch anymore."

•
Elizabeth Monro
"Yeah, I get you, Cap." Lizzie heaved a sigh and removed her weight from the wall. "Then I guess I'll leave you to your.. Stuff? I don't know. If you need me I'll be at my bed," Lizzie said softly, offering a smile.

• -----[glow=teal,2,400]Embracethenight138[/glow]-----

"Does it look like I'm doing anything?"Adeline chuckled and gestured around,"I don't have a job to do until we leave. You're welcome to stay, if you'd like."

•
Elizabeth Monro
"Sweet! Cause I wasn't planning to do anything when I got there anyways!" Lizzie laughed and stretched her arms in the air. "So you do want me here," she joked. "Next thing you'll know we'll be ruling the seas together," she giggled. "I'm kidding. Don't kill me. I was kidding," she said softly with a smile.

• -----[glow=teal,2,400]Embracethenight138[/glow]-----

She cackled softly, flicking a bit of dust off of her shoe,"Ye'll be happy to know we might as well rule the seas as it be, ye've just been added to the party."She righted herself and adjusted the hem of her shirt,"But, as for yer position, I think that's up to ye. If ye wanted to be the heasd of something, ye'd have to apprentice first."

•
Elizabeth Monro
Lizzie laughed softly and scratched the back of her neck. "Okay, okay. I was just kidding. Don't need to get all technical with me, Cap." Lizzie laughed and shoved her hands into her pockets, looking at the compass sitting on the table. "Nice piece of metal." Lizzie said, watching as the needle went from right to left.

• -----[glow=teal,2,400]Embracethenight138[/glow]-----

"Mmhm,"Adeline agreed, standing up as Lizzy approached,"It's quite essential to the ship, believe it or not. Most of the crew are not adept at reading the stars, so we're more or less dependent on that metal."

•
Elizabeth Monro
Lizzie nodded and smiled. "I see." Lizzie looked up and smiled and leaned against the table using her hands. "Believe it or not. I can see myself not dying on this crew. As far as I heard, they're good to rely on."

• -----[glow=teal,2,400]Embracethenight138[/glow]-----

She smiled, nodding with subtle pride,"Aye, ye've heard right, Dearie. Most of the men here are more than loyal to the Pearl, and meh-self. If ye die on this crew, the rest of us will have had to be dead too."

•
Elizabeth Monro
Lizzie giggled softly and nodded. "That sure sounds like a saying to live by." Lizzie smiled, soon realizing that the Captain hadn't exactly taken care of the small wound on her neck from Lizzie's blade. Lizzie shook her head with a smile. "You might be tough but you won't be so tough if that gets infected." Lizzie took the bottom of her plain white long-sleeve shirt and brought it up to her face, licking the piece of cloth and wiping the dry blood off from the captain's collarbone. Out of her pocket, LIzzie pulled some more cloth and wrapped it around the captain's neck, tying it into a bow at the end. "There. Maybe now a it won't be so easily reopened," Lizzie said, moving back to her original spot.

• -----[glow=teal,2,400]Embracethenight138[/glow]-----

Adeline paused for a moment, raising an eyebrow as she felt Lizzy do her work. She frowned for a moment and flicked at the bow, gazing in the window for a long moment. "I'm not the type of woman who can easily wear such a dainty bow,"She admitted have a moment, and then smiled,"I suppose I have to get my class from somewhere'.".
