OOC:This is exactly what it sounds like, a Mario version of "it's a wonderful life" I'll control Mario for this first post, but after that, you're Mario, ok? (because I need to control all of the changes (oh and btw Sonic and everyone else shouldn't appear here as far as my ideas stretch. this is only a tale that affects the Mushroom Kingdom (we also include Joey and the aby yoshi dragons here too, although Joey won't appear till the end, and once you rea dthhe post you'll know why

Mario was at the bridge by Peach's castle, looking down at the river below and sighing. He then heard what sounded like a twinkling star. Looking up, he saw one of the Star Spirits. "What are you doing here? Why are you not in Star Haven?" Mario asked "Because I'm here to help you, duh!" the star said "Help me? with what? I don't need help!" "From the look on your face you sure do!" the star said "Well... It's just that sometimes I feel like the world would be better off if I never existed. I don't know why, I just do" "I can show you what it'd be like" "Really? You could?" Mario asked, and the star nodded "Do you want me to?" "Nah. That's ok." Mario said. However, there was a sudden flash, and they saw themselves in the Mushroom Kingdom again, but... it didn't look right... There were Bowser flags everywhere, the castle behind them, which was originally white and red witha Peach mural on it, was now black and red, with spikes on the door and no mural of anyone in sight. Instead of Toads being the majority population, there were mostly Goombas and Koopas roaming everywhere There were Toads, just not nearly as many as before. "Hey! I thought I told you-" Mario was about to yell at the Star spirit, but it was gone.
As Mario was walking, he bumped into Toadsworth, who looked... a lot more weary than he normally did "Toadsworth! Thank goodness I found one face I know!" Mario smiled, but the old Toad just looked at him and said "Who are you? I've never seen you around here. And those are some bright clothes you're wearing considering you're in the Koopa Kingdom." "Um... Don't you mean the Mushroom Kingdom?" "No! I mean the Koopa Kingdom! I know where I live!" "Well... where's the princess?" "You mean Princess Wendy Koopa?" "No... I mean Princess PEACH. where is she?" Mario asked, and Toadsworth started laughing "You sir, are a riot! Princess Peach has been dead ever since Bowser kidnapped her 30 years ago!"
