dapplekit purred as hawkkit came in with a snowy face. he licked off the snow which was fresh as water. her belly growled and she realized she hadn't eaten in a day or two.

"have you ever been sleep hunting? its like hunting but in winter when they are asleep and plump" he said with a smirk

"no" she replied, honestly but she lashed her tail and dove into the nearest hole searching for prey

Hawkkit began to climb the bark to the hole

Dapplekit came out a few minutes later dragging a
rabbitvole almost bigger than she was. Her eyes glinted happily as she rejoiced over her first catch. -
"good job" Hawkkit said bringing in soft moss

Dapplekit purred happily and set down the vole

Hawkkit set the moss down "you keep the vole you need you strength" he said

she prodded the vole which was now getting cold, and took a minuscule bite from the creature. "i never tasted it before" she mewed shyly

"its a pretty good taste but wait till you catch your first hawk it a wonderful sight to see"Hawkkit said laying down tiredly

Dapplekit purred and stood up leaving her half-chewed vole to sit and freeze. She padded over to Hawkkit and snuggled up next to him. She lay her head on her paws and looked over to Hawkkit with her glinting eyes that reflected the soft glow of the tree.
(should we timeskip soon? dapplekit needs to be apprenticed soon and hawkkit should be already) -
