having dozed off in some random spot around camp because she wasn't that particular about where she slept, pix awoke to feel a cold breeze hitting her dark pelt. cracking open her light green optics, she lifted a paw to draw it across her face to wipe away any crusties bothering her. all that greeted her as she glanced around was the dark being darker than *. great, it's the middle of the night.. after several attempts of trying, she realized sleep was not going to be an option apparently, which brought her to her feet. guess it's time for a walk.. the ebony cub exited the camp rather easily and began to pad off into the still, empty night. there was nothing to amuse her as she walked, twigs occasionally cracking under her paws and owls rarely hooting. at least the crickets continued to chirp, however that eventually began to annoy her and she willed the *ing bugs to shut up. pix slowed to a stop as a scent hit her nose, that of an incoming storm. and a strong one by the gusts of wind that kept pushing against her. to no avail of course. yeah, she should have tested the air twice.
continuing on her way, she swished her tail behind her, impatient. when was there going to be something interesting to satisfy her boredom? but it was rare to find something like that in the dead of the night. however for one of the first times in her life, when something solid crashed into her side at full pelt, she was shocked. the cub went twisting through the air until she hit the ground on her fours, sharp white canines revealed as her lip peeled back in anger. who the * would dare to hit her? "who the * are you?" pix directed the question to the attacker, though it would have looked like she was questioning thin air. "and why the * did you just make a deathwish?" dropping to a low stance of attack, the cub was pissed and rightfully so. even if this *hole didn't answer, they would pay. and where was the light of the moon when she needed it the most? launching herself at the direction the scent was strongest, pix made contact with a solid body and immediately drove her needle-like claws into the flesh of the animal. a demonic screech rang out as it felt the sharp spiky pain infiltrate it, seemingly lashing out. on impact, the ebony cub went flying and smacked right in a tree, gravity then taking place and bringing her to the ground. ouch. but that just made her more pissed. "you *ing *. you must want to die." she snarled, a nasty gleam in her optics and she eyed the creature at last. the moon had made an appearance finally and it appeared she was fighting a rather large animal, most likely the size of a bear as she could only guess due to the lack of experience. "*." well. her chances had just flown out of the *ing window. though the hard-headed cub refused to acknowledge it, but it was in the back of her head somewhere.
why it was attacking her was beyond her but all that was on the ebony cub's mind was killing it and ripping it apart for all it was worth. however, before she could comprehend what was happening, it barrelled into her and shoved her right back up against that same *ing pine tree. hissing and snarling, pix snapped her jaws, trying to get a hold of flesh between her grip but to no avail. she could hear it's heavy musty breathing, foul breath disgustingly reaching her. out of no where, as she could only see the orange gleam of it's eyes, fiery claws ripped down her sides, forcefully pulling screeches out of her as she struggled more. beginning to panic as it went once more over the same spot, all she could see was the dark as she drove her teeth into her bottom lip, sputtering and shrieking in agony. watery pain was gathering in her tear ducts, though she continued to desperately struggle and wildly kick in a mad fit of rage. he's going to *ing die once i get out- her thoughts were interrupted as another assembly of screeching erupted from her vocal cords as he once more came down on the same spot. "HOW-WWW MANY *ING TIMES DO-O YOU PLAN ON GOEENG OVER THAT. SPOT....!?!?" her speech was unstable, sputtering, and screeching in her blind fury and agony. she felt slightly achieved as her upper paws found the limb that was holding her against the tree and she, without hesitation, began to rip at it. "seventeen more times." it's raspy gut-wrenching baritone voice reached her ears, breath reeking next to her cheek."you should start counting." how dare he.. "IM GONNA *ING KILL YO-" again came the burning fiery pain, worsening as it had done each time. she soon started counting.
the lion cub was not aware of what time the monster had finished ripping down her flank but she couldn't check. all she could see was the dark. the dark. it wouldn't go away. the numbers she had spoke just kept wrecking their way through her head. hah, she wasn't even aware when it had finished it's horrific fun but all she was left to do but lay against the soaked tree, sticky in her own blood. her flesh was probably lodged in it's claws as it had left. not that she would have known, she had passed out by ten. her light green optics tried to focus on something, but she had been in and out of consciousness for a while, whimpering everytime she came to the present because all that was there was the dark. she hated this weak feeling in her gut but she had long lost the ability to spill out her all her previous meals because it was already next to her. struggling to keep her eyes open, tears sprang back to her eyes as she tried to move, agony erupting like a plugged volcano after two hundred years throughout her body. "somebody get the * over here." her voice cracked as she tried to speak, gazing into the dead night. she couldn't even see her own body, both her surroundings and self were dark as *. but it was everywhere. everything was like the night. dark. black. scary. a broken hiss came from her maw as she gave a glare full of hatred out into the night, cursing everything out there silently. all she wanted was the sweet relief of sleep.
// only coloring speech in this first post because i thought it would be a bit hard to tell. also, this is where she gains her fear of the dark.[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; bordercolor= transparent; borderwidth= 0px; font-family: verdana; font-style: italics; font-size: 9px; text-align: center;][c][/fancypost]
